Abstract In this article we describe an experimental investigation of IP network restoration based on wavelength recovery. We propose a procedure for metro and wide area gigabit Ethernet networks that allows us to route the wavelength in case of link failure to another existing link by exploiting wavelength division multiplexing in the fiber. Such a procedure is obtained by means of an optical switch that is managed by a loss-of-light signal that is generated by a router in case of link failure. Such a method has been tested in an IP network consisting of three core routers with optical gigabit Ethernet interfaces connected by means of 50-km-long single-mode fibers between Rome and Pomezia. Compared with other conventional restoration techniques, such as OSPF and MPLS, our method -in very fast (20 ms) and is compatible with real-time TV services and low-cost chips. 相似文献

The introduction of intelligence for management and control of optical networks based on internet protocol and the quality of service (QoS) are key issues for the evolution of the next generation network. Abstract We report an experimental investigation about the Virtual Private LAN Service technique to guarantee the quality of service in the metro/core network and also in the presence of access bandwidth bottleneck. We also show how the virtual private network can be set up for answering to a user request in a very fast way. The sensitivity of a fiber-optic strain gauge that makes use of interference between the orthogonal linearly polarized eigen-modes propagated in a length of highly birefringent single-mode fiber is primarily determined by tension-induced modal birefiringence ΔB. This ΔB is in a close relationship with the ellipticity of the jacket surrounding the core, on which anisotropic residual stresses are imposed, but ΔB does not depend definitely on the beat length of fiber. Dependence of AB on Young's modulus and the Poisson ratio are computed and discussed in association with the measured results. 相似文献

为了解决光学合成孔径系统成像模糊问题以及研究其相应图像复原算法,采用Zemax软件分析了四孔径光学合成孔径系统的MTF,以及其像质模糊原因。并用MATLAB仿真分析常用的Wiener滤波复原算法,得出该算法在处理合成孔径系统图像存在不足。提出了一种基于K值自适应改变Wiener滤波图像复原方法,通过计算机仿真验证表明,该算法可使合成孔径系统降质图像的像质得到较好改善,复原效果优于Wiener滤波,且其像质评价参数PSNR以及ISNR分别提高了6.89%和1.1dB。 相似文献

Abstract A wavelength-utilized rate-doubled wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network based on a self-seeding light source is proposed. The effect of distributed fiber length and power division ratio on the upstream-signal power is analyzed; the result indicates that raising the power division ratio can increase the upstream-signal power when it is lower than 0.86. The power difference between upstream signals caused by the length difference of distributed fibers is also expanded with power division ratio; thus, the power division ratio should be decreased to a proper level to reduce the power difference when the length difference is too large. 相似文献

为实现复杂工业现场下的设备测试,本文介绍了一种基于TCP/IP协议的测控系统,该系统采用客户机/服务器模型。测控系统的中央控制计算机与子测控系统的下位机间为“一对多”通讯,中央控制计算机作为服务器,子测控系统的下位机作为客户机;子测控系统的上位机与下位机之间采用“一对一”网络通讯,子测控系统的下位机作为服务器,上位机作为客户机。中央控制计算机采用LabView开发,子测控系统的上位机与下位机采用Visual C+ 6.0开发。最终实现了测控系统的TCP/IP通讯,完成了复杂工业现场下的测试工作。 相似文献

The conversion and restoration processes of colour centers in pure KCI crystals were studied by optical absorption measurements. When the sample is heated the aggregative centers in it begin to dissolve to F centers, and the opposite process will take place, i.e. F centers will aggregate to form F2, F3, F4centers if the samples are cooled down. It was found that the conversion and restoration processes are dependent on the annealing temperature and time. In our experiment, the samples were treated at various temperatures and time. In addition the restoration process for the 350°C treated sample was studied live. We found that the higher the annealing temperature is the slower the restoration in the samples proceed, and the conversion process maintained for a few minutes even after annealing treatment. 相似文献

随着光网络规模的不断扩大以及网络体系结构的扁平化过程加速,网络传输的可靠性和实时性以及生存性路面算法本身面临新的挑战.本文在单点割集的松弛生存性约束条件下,结合动态业务下的IP over WDM光网络的特点,借助蚁群优化算法的强鲁棒性和记忆能力,通过改变与调整蚁群优化算法结构中的信息素结构与其更新机制,在动态路由选择过程中,引入网络可生存性约束信息改进路由选择概率计算机制,来实现IP over WDM光网络动态生存性映射的路由策略.与其他同类算法相比,该算法不再存储网络备用路由集和物理拓扑自身庞大的割集关系,在保证网络生存性效果的前提下,通过割集松弛条件有效降低了计算的时间复杂度,提高算法收敛速度,适应网络实时性要求.仿真结果表明:与传统最短路算法比较,该算法能有效提高动态光网络的可生存性映射性能和网络的资源利用效率,并降低业务阻塞率. 相似文献

实验报道了利用半导体光放大器(SOA)的四波混频(FWM)效应实现多种码型的波长转换.其中对于非归零(NRZ)信号实现了从单信道到三信道的多波长转换.调制速率从10 Gb/s到40 Gb/s均实现多波长转换.对于归零(RZ)信号分别实现了20 Gb/s和40 Gb/s的RZ格式的波长转换和40 Gb/s的载波抑制归零(CSRZ)格式的波长转换,利用光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)作为带陷滤波器消除共轭光和抽运光之间的串扰.对于非归零差分相移键控(NRZ_DPSK)信号分别实现了20 Gb/s和40 Gb/s的波长转换,利用实验室自制的光纤延时干涉仪进行NRZ-DPSK信号的解调.基于FWM效应的转换光的输出消光比大于7 dB,转换后消光比退化约为3 dB. 相似文献

为了解决受激布里渊散射快光在高吸收区产生损耗的问题,通过分析普通单模光纤中双线泵浦产生的双布里渊增益线特性及在增益峰间实现脉冲的超光速传输理论,利用有限元法数值模拟了双布里渊增益线处受激布里渊散射引起的快光特性。结果表明,当频率分离因子大于0.596时,可以观察到双增益峰;当频率分离因子在1~5.25范围内时,两个泵浦波产生的双增益峰之间可以明显地产生快光;当频率分离因子为1.75时,在双布里渊增益线之间的最大时间提前可达25 ps。当频率分离因子为2.42时,三阶色散所对应的归一化色散长度为无穷大,三阶色散可以得到完全补偿;当频率分离因子大于2.464时,脉冲展宽因子趋近于1,可以实现无畸变传输,但时间提前量小于13.52 ps。本文的研究结论对于在布里渊增益区实现快光具有一定的理论意义,并对设计基于受激布里渊散射快光器件具有理论指导作用。 相似文献

Abstract We investigate 20 Gb/s wavelength conversion for return-to-zero differential phase-shift keying (RZ-DPSK) signal using four-wave mixing (FWM) in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). We show that the 10-Gb/s RZ-DPSK signal-to-pump ratio increases up to ?0.286 dB with Q factor improvement of 1.663 dB for increasing the cascadeability of optical networks. The effect of variation in bandwidth for an ideal dual-arm Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) is illustrated. For different bit rates, the converted power signal is investigated with increase in signal input power. We show that the quality of converted signal is best before the saturation of SOA. The dependence of four-wave mixing (FWM) efficiency and converted signal power with signal input power is also studied, and it is found that FWM efficiency decreases with increase in signal input power. The impact of signal-to–pump power ratio, unsaturated amplifier gain, and pump power is further optimized with minimum Q factor penalty for 10-Gb/s and 20-Gb/s bit rate. We show that converted signal power increases up to power saturation level and then starts decreasing. We also show that with higher bit rate, we have a wide range of choices for pump power signal. We further investigate the quality of converted signal at 10 Gb/s, which shows an improvement over signal input power. Finally, the increase in transmission distance after wavelength conversion is investigated. 相似文献
