In this paper, we consider modeling of the crosstalk phenomenon in electro-magnetic systems and, in particular, in electrical circuit where electrical devices such as inductors, capacitors, and resistors are located closely together. In principle, we model the crosstalk phenomenon by bilateral coupling of two fundamental components: Electro-magnetic induction and dynamical behavior of the electrical circuit. First, in order to describe the electro-magnetic induction the Maxwell equations are presented. Then, to prescribe dynamical behavior of the circuit we introduce the modified nodal analysis system which is derived by the circuit equations. Finally suitable coupling relations will be outlined. We establish a connection between solutions to a broad class of large systems of ordinary differential equations and solutions to retarded differential equations. We prove that solving the Cauchy problem for systems of ordinary differential equations reduces to solving the initial value problem for a retarded differential equation as the number of equations increases unboundedly. In particular, the class of systems under consideration contains a system of differential equations which arises in modeling of multiphase synthesis.  相似文献

In general, weakly nonlinear high frequency almost periodic wave trains for systems of hyperbolic conservation laws interact and resonate to leading order. In earlier work the first two authors and J. Hunter developed simplified asymptotic equations describing this resonant interaction. In the important special case of compressible fluid flow in one or several space dimensions, these simplified asymptotic equations are essentially two inviscid Burgers equations for the nonlinear sound waves, coupled by convolution with a known kernel given by the sum of the initial vortex strength and the derivative of the initial entropy. Here we develop some of the remarkable new properties of the solutions of this system for resonant acoustics. These new features include substantial almost periodic exchange of energy between the nonlinear sound waves, the existence of smooth periodic wave trains, and the role of such smooth wave patterns in eliminating or suppressing the strong temporal decay of sawtooth profile solutions of the decoupled inviscid Burgers equations. Our approach combines detailed numerical modeling to elucidate the new phenomena together with rigorous analysis to obtain exact solutions as well as other elementary properties of the solutions of this system.  相似文献

We investigate a system of two first-order differential equations that appears when averaging nonlinear systems over fast one-frequency oscillations. The main result is the asymptotic behavior of a two-parameter family of solutions with an infinitely growing amplitude. In addition, we find the asymptotic behavior of another two-parameter family of solutions with a bounded amplitude. In particular, these results provide the key to understanding autoresonance as the phenomenon of a considerable growth of forced nonlinear oscillations initiated by a small external pumping.  相似文献

We consider two classes of systems of partial differential equations of first order. One consists of generalized Stokes-Beltrami equations $ Aw_z = w^*_z $ , $ \lambda Bw_{\bar z} -w^*_{\bar z} $ with square matrices A and B and a scalar factor u . The other may be written in matrix notation as $ v_{\bar z} = c{\bar v} $ where c denotes a square matrix. This system is known as a Pascali system. Both systems are in close connections to certain systems of second order for which the solutions can be represented using particular differential operators. This paper presents some recent advances in the dynamics and control of constrained multibody systems. The constraints considered need not satisfy the D’Alembert principle and therefore the results are of general applicability. They show that, in the presence of constraints, the constraint force acting on the multibody system can always be viewed as made up of the sum of two components whose explicit form is provided. The first of these components consists of the constraint force that would have existed were all the constraints ideal; the second is caused by the nonideal nature of the constraints, and though it needs specification by the mechanician who is modeling the specific system at hand, it has a specific form. The general equations of motion obtained herein provide new insights into the simplicity with which Nature seems to operate. The paper is devoted to two systems of nonsmooth equations. One is the system of equations of max-type functions and the other is the system of equations of smooth compositions of max-type functions. The Newton and approximate Newton methods for these two systems are proposed. The Q-superlinear convergence of the Newton methods and the Q-linear convergence of the approximate Newton methods are established. The present methods can be more easily implemented than the previous ones, since they do not require an element of Clarke generalized Jacobian, of B-differential, or of b-differential, at each iteration point.  相似文献

We consider systems of differential equations with quadratic nonlinearities having applications for biochemistry and population dynamics, which may have a large dimension n. Due to the complexity of these systems, reduction algorithms play a crucial role in study of their large time behavior. Our approach aims to reduce a large system to a smaller one consisting of m differential equations, where . Under some restrictions (that allow us to separate slow and fast variables in the system) we obtain a new system of differential equations, involving slow variables only. This reduction is feasible from a computational point of view for large n that allows us to investigate sensitivity of dynamics with respect to random variations of parameters. We show that the quadratic systems are capable to generate all kinds of structurally stable dynamics including chaos.  相似文献

根据数值计算的结果提出了模态耦合的条件,两个方程在高频模态上是耦合的,而在低频模态上是不耦合的.利用了无穷维动力系统理论,证明了两个高频模态耦合的Ginzburg-Landau方程在函数空间中存在吸引域,因而存在连通的、有限维的紧的整体吸引子.驱动方程存在时空混沌.将方程组联系一个截断形式,得到的修正方程组将保持原方程组的动力学行为.高频模态耦合的两个方程在一定的条件下具有挤压性质,证明了可达到完全的时空混沌同步化.在数学上定性解释了无穷维动力系统的同步化现象.研究方法不同于有限维动力系统中通常使用的Liapunov函数方法与近似线性方法.  相似文献

Abstract

We consider systems of nonlinear difference equations arising when convergence analysis of an iterative method for solving operator equations in Banach spaces is carried out via Kantorovich's technique of majorization. The main challenge in this context is to determine the convergence domain of the corresponding majorant generator. As it turns out, dealing with this task leads to solution of functional equations of a certain kind. Model and simulation study is the starting point for engineering design and development, especially for developing vehicle control systems. This paper presents a methodology to build models for application of smart struts for vehicle suspension control development. The modeling approach is based on decomposition of the testing data. Per the strut functions, the data is dissected according to both control and physical variables. Then the data sets are characterized to represent different aspects of the strut working behaviors. Next different mathematical equations can be built and optimized to best fit the corresponding data sets, respectively. In this way, the model optimization can be facilitated in comparison to a traditional approach to find out a global optimum set of model parameters for a complicated nonlinear model from a series of testing data. Finally, two struts are introduced as examples for this modeling study: magneto-rheological (MR) dampers and compressible fluid (CF) based struts. The model validation shows that this methodology can truly capture macro-behaviors of these struts.  相似文献

We consider the Aw-Rascle system of hyperbolic equations which describes traffic flow phenomena on a single road. The model consists of two coupled nonlinear conservation laws in a single space dimension. We study an extension of the Aw/Rascle system to a network of roads. We derive necessary coupling conditions and introduce an obvious definition of a solution. We prove the existence of a solution to the road network problem. (© 2005 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
