In this study, we consider a coefficient problem of a quasi-linear two-dimensional parabolic inverse problem with periodic boundary and integral over determination conditions. We prove the existence, uniqueness and continuously dependence upon the data of the solution by iteration method. Also, we consider numerical solution for this inverse problem by using linearization and the implicit finite-difference scheme.  相似文献

Heat exchange betweenmetal and fluid follows linear Newton's cooling law as longas the inaccessible side is not damaged. We assume that theeffects of corrosion are modelled by means of a nonlinear perturbationin the exchange law. On the other hand, we are able to heatthe conductor and take temperature maps of the accessible side.Our goal is to recover the nonlinear perturbation of the exchangelaw on the top side from thermal data collected on the oppositeone (thermal imaging). In this paper, we use a stationary model,i.e. the temperature inside the plate is assumed to fulfil Laplace'sequation. Hence, our problem is stated as an inverse ill-posedproblem for Laplace's equation with nonlinear boundary conditions.We study identifiability and local Lipschitz stability. In particular,we prove that the nonlinear term is identified by one Cauchydata set. Moreover, we produce approximated solutions by meansof an optimizational method.  相似文献

The thermostat controller for an air-conditioning system isusually placed in a position at some distance from the unitand this can lead to large swings in temperature. This paperaddresses this question by studying a paradigm—a one-dimensionalheat conduction equation with and without heat loss, and wherethe flux of heat extracted or input by the unit is consideredto be a function of the temperature at the other end. The essential results are that the system can be unstable andthat this is exacerbated both by a more powerful air-conditioningunit and by more efficient insulation.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the inverse spectral problem on a finite interval for the integro-differential operator ? which is the perturbation of the Sturm-Liouville operator by the Volterra integral operator. The potential q belongs to L 2[0, π] and the kernel of the integral perturbation is integrable in its domain of definition. We obtain a local solution of the inverse reconstruction problem for the potential q, given the kernel of the integral perturbation, and prove the stability of this solution. For the spectral data we take the spectra of two operators given by the expression for ? and by two pairs of boundary conditions coinciding at one of the finite points.  相似文献

In this paper, the inverse problem of finding the time‐dependent coefficient of heat capacity together with the solution periodic boundary and integral overdetermination conditions is considered. Under some natural regularity and consistency conditions on the input data, the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence upon the data of the solution are shown. In this article, an inverse problem of determining an unknown time‐dependent source term of a parabolic equation is considered. We change the inverse problem to a Volterra integral equation of convolution‐type. By using Sinc‐collocation method, the resulting integral equation is replaced by a system of linear algebraic equations. The convergence analysis is included, and it is shown that the error in the approximate solution is bounded in the infinity norm by the condition number and the norm of the inverse of the coefficient matrix multiplied by a factor that decays exponentially with the size of the system. We study non-negative solutions of the porous medium equationwith a source and a nonlinear flux boundary condition, ut =(um)xx + up in (0, ), x (0, T); – (um)x (0, t) = uq (0,t) for t (0, T); u (x, 0) = u0 (x) in (0, ), where m > 1,p, q > 0 are parameters. For every fixed m we prove thatthere are two critical curves in the (p, q-plane: (i) the criticalexistence curve, separating the region where every solutionis global from the region where there exist blowing-up solutions,and (ii) the Fujita curve, separating a region of parametersin which all solutions blow up from a region where both globalin time solutions and blowing-up solutions exist. In the caseof blow up we find the blow-up rates, the blow-up sets and theblow-up profiles, showing that there is a phenomenon of asymptoticsimplification. If 2q < p + m the asymptotics are governedby the source term. On the other hand, if 2q > p + m theevolution close to blow up is ruled by the boundary flux. In this paper, we consider an initial‐boundary value problem for a parabolic equation with nonlinear boundary conditions. The solution to the problem can be expressed as a convolution integral of a Green's function and two unknown functions. We change the problem to a system of two nonlinear Volterra integral equations of convolution type. By using an explicit procedure on the basis of Sinc‐function properties, the resulting integral equations are replaced by a system of nonlinear algebraic equations, whose solution yields an accurate approximate solution to the parabolic problem. This paper deals with the blow-up properties of positive solutions to a nonlinear parabolic equation with a localized reaction source and a nonlocal boundary condition. Under certain conditions, the blowup criteria is established. Furthermore, when f(u)=up, 0<p?1, the global blowup behavior is shown, and the blowup rate estimates are also obtained.  相似文献
