QUADRATURE METHODS FOR HIGHLY OSCILLATORY SINGULAR INTEGRALS

We address the evaluation of highly oscillatory integrals,with power-law and logarithmic singularities.Such problems arise in numerical methods in engineering.Notably,the evaluation of oscillatory integrals dominates the run-time for wave-enriched boundary integral formulations for wave scattering,and many of these exhibit singularities.We show that the asymptotic behaviour of the integral depends on the integrand and its derivatives at the singular point of the integrand,the stationary points and the endpoints of the integral.A truncated asymptotic expansion achieves an error that decays faster for increasing frequency.Based on the asymptotic analysis,a Filon-type method is constructed to approximate the integral.Unlike an asymptotic expansion,the Filon method achieves high accuracy for both small and large frequency.Complex-valued quadrature involves interpolation at the zeros of polynomials orthogonal to a complex weight function.Numerical results indicate that the complex-valued Gaussian quadrature achieves the highest accuracy when the three methods are compared.However,while it achieves higher accuracy for the same number of function evaluations,it requires signi cant additional cost of computation of orthogonal polynomials and their zeros.     

ON QUADRATURE FORMULAE FOR SINGULAR INTEGRALS OF ARBITRARY ORDER

Some quadrature formulae for the numerical evaluation of singular integrals of arbitrary order are established and both the estimate of remainder and the convergence of each quadrature formula derived here are also given.

MULTISCALE ASYMPTOTIC EXPANSION FOR A CLASS OF HYPERBOLIC-PARABOLIC TYPE EQUATION WITH HIGHLY OSCILLATORY COEFFICIENTS

In this paper, we will discuss the asymptotic behaviour for a class of hyperbolic -parabolic type equation with highly oscillatory coefficients arising from the strong-transient heat and mass transfer problems of composite media. A complete multiscale asymptotic expansion and its rigorous verification will be reported.     

平面双调和问题的第一类边界积分方程的高精度求积方法与外推

借助位势理论,平面双调和方程的Dirichlet问题被转化为第一类边界积分方程组,本文使用新型的反常积分的求积公式构造出解造解此类边界积分方程的机械求积方法,证明了该方法具有O（h^3)阶精度和误差的h^3幂渐近展开,故借助Richardson外推还能提高精度阶。     

HIGHLY OSCILLATORY DIFFUSION-TYPE EQUATIONS

We explore new asymptotic-numeric solvers for partial differential equations with highly oscillatory forcing terms. Such methods represent the solution as an asymptotic series, whose terms can be evaluated by solving non-oscillatory problems and they guarantee high accuracy at a low computational cost. We consider two forms of oscillatory forcing terms, namely when the oscillation is in time or in space： each lends itself to different treatment. Numerical examples highlight the salient features of the new approach.     

INTERPOLATORY QUADRATURE RULE FOR EVALUATION OF CERTAIN SINGULAR INTEGRALS

In this paper, we introduce a quadrature rule for the numerical evaluation of certain hyper singular integrals. The rule is obtained by using Hermite interpolation polynomial. Error bound is also made.     

SPLITTING EXTRAPOLATIONS FOR SOLVING BOUNDARY INTEGRAL EQUATIONS OF LINEAR ELASTICITY DIRICHLET PROBLEMS ON POLYGONS BY MECHANICAL QUADRATURE METHODS

Taking hm as the mesh width of a curved edge Гm （m = 1, ..., d ） of polygons and using quadrature rules for weakly singular integrals, this paper presents mechanical quadrature methods for solving BIES of the first kind of plane elasticity Dirichlet problems on curved polygons, which possess high accuracy O（h0^3） and low computing complexities. Since multivariate asymptotic expansions of approximate errors with power hi^3 （i = 1, 2, ..., d） are shown, by means of the splitting extrapolations high precision approximations and a posteriori estimate are obtained.

The boundedness on Triebel-Lizorkin spaces of oscillatory singular integral operator T in the form ei|x|aΩ(x)|x|-n is studied,where a∈R,a≠0,1 and Ω∈L1(Sn-1) is homogeneous of degree zero and satisfies certain cancellation condition.When kernel Ω(x′)∈Llog L(Sn-1),the α,qp(Rn) boundedness of the above operator is obtained.Meanwhile,when Ω(x) satisfies L1-Dini condition,the above operator Tis bounded on 0,11(Rn).     

THE APPROXIMATE COMPUTATION OF HYPERSINGULAR INTEGRALS ON INTERVAL

In this paper some numerical methods for computing hypersingular integrals on interval are given. Using geometric meshes, these methods lead 10 an exponential convergence in the range of engineering compulation. A numerical example shows their effeclivity and accuracy.

SOME PROPERTIES OF HOLOMORPHIC CLIFFORDIAN FUNCTIONS IN COMPLEX CLIFFORD ANALYSIS

In this article, we mainly develop the foundation of a new function theory of several complex variables with values in a complex Clifford algebra defined on some subdomains of Cn+1, so-called complex holomorphic Cliffordian functions. We define the complex holomorphic Cliffordian functions, study polynomial and singular solutions of the equation D△mf=0, obtain the integral representation formula for the complex holomorphic Cliffordian functions with values in a complex Clifford algebra defined on some submanifolds of Cn+1, deduce the Taylor expansion and the Laurent expansion for them and prove an invariance under an action of Lie group for them.
