We elaborate on how to incorporate mesonic correlators into the worldline formalism. We consider possible applications to QCD-like theories in various dimensions. We focus on large-Nc two-dimensional QCD (the ?t Hooft model) and relate it to a single harmonic oscillator. We also discuss the dependence of the Peskin S-parameter on the number of massless flavors and their representation and compare our expression to the corresponding expression obtained at weak coupling. Finally, we use the worldline formalism to discuss how the Veneziano limit of QCD is realized in holography in the limit of small Nf/Nc.  相似文献

I review the derivation of large-N QCD meson scattering amplitudes in the Regge regime, where the effective theory of long strings applies in d = 4. A special attention is payed to the reparametrization path integral which plays a crucial role in the consistency of off-shell amplitudes. I show how the linear Reggeon trajectory is obtained for QCD string in the mean-field approximation, which turns out to be exact for the Nambu-Goto string, and discuss the interrelation with perturbative QCD.  相似文献

The grounds on which the nuclear pseudospin symmetry (PSS) is supposed to be based are analysed within the relativistic mean-field framework. A connection between the mechanisms responsible for the spin-orbit and pseudospin-orbit splittings is shown. The nature of the PSS is investigated through an extended Dirac equation which allows a generalization of the PSS breaking term. It is shown that the PSS breaking in real nuclei can be explained as a result of a non-perturbative transformation from non-physical solutions of the Dirac equation, which satisfy exactly the PSS, to the physical ones. The PSS breaking term produces important, though qualitatively similar, effects on both states of a pseudospin-orbit doublet. We demonstrate that the nilpotent Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) and anti-BRST symmetry invariance of the Lagrangian density of a four (3 + 1)-dimensional (4D) non-Abelian 1-form gauge theory with Dirac fields can be captured within the framework of the superfield approach to BRST formalism. The above 4D theory, where there is an explicit coupling between the non-Abelian 1-form gauge field and the Dirac fields, is considered on a (4,2)-dimensional supermanifold, parametrized by the bosonic 4D spacetime variables and a pair of Grassmannian variables. We show that the Grassmannian independence of the super-Lagrangian density, expressed in terms of the (4,2)-dimensional superfields, is a clear signature of the presence of the (anti-)BRST invariance in the original 4D theory.   相似文献

A supersymmetric extension of the vierbein formalism of Einstein gravity is investigated by takingSL(N, 2;C) superalgebra, which is shown to be the sole possibility other than the previously investigatedOSp(N 2;C). After general discussion on the ξ-field realization, a non-linear realization of linear representation introduced in a previous paper, it is applied to the fundamental representation ofSL(N, 2;C) t0 which the vierbein supermultiplet belongs. This paper presents extensions to the traditional calculus of variations for mechanico-electrical systems containing fractional derivatives.The Euler-Lagrange equations and the Hamilton formalism of the mechanico-electrical systems with fractional derivatives are established.The definition and the criteria for the fractional generalized Noether quasisymmetry are presented.Furthermore,the fractional Noether theorem and conseved quantities of the systems are obtained by virtue of the invariance of the Hamiltonian action under the infinitesimal transformations.An example is presented to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

We derive the off-shell nilpotent (anti-)BRST symmetry transformations for the interacting U(1) gauge theory of quantum electrodynamics (QED) in the framework of the augmented superfield approach to the BRST formalism. In addition to the horizontality condition, we invoke another gauge invariant condition on the six (4,2)-dimensional supermanifold to obtain the exact and unique nilpotent symmetry transformations for all the basic fields present in the (anti-)BRST invariant Lagrangian density of the physical four (3+1)-dimensional QED. The above supermanifold is parametrized by four even space–time variables (with μ=0,1,2,3) and two odd variables (θ and ) of the Grassmann algebra. The new gauge invariant condition on the supermanifold owes its origin to the (super) covariant derivatives and leads to the derivation of unique nilpotent symmetry transformations for the matter fields. The symmetry properties of g and A cannot be elicited using invariance properties, due to their special nature, and are found using the properties of a Kramers doublet. It is shown that the collinearity of g and A depends on the molecule having at least C 2 with σ v or C 2′ symmetry elements. The symmetry properties of x are found from those of g. The conditions for collinearity of the tensors and the consequences of non-collinearity are discussed, with examples.  相似文献

In this paper the novel features of Yokoyama gaugeon formalism are stressed out for the theory of perturbative quantum gravity in the Einstein curved spacetime. The quantum gauge transformations for the theory of perturbative gravity are demonstrated in the framework of gaugeon formalism. These quantum gauge transformations lead to renormalised gauge parameter. Further, we analyse the BRST symmetric gaugeon formalism which embeds more acceptable Kugo–Ojima subsidiary condition. Further, the BRST symmetry is made finite and field-dependent. Remarkably, the Jacobian of path integral under finite and field-dependent BRST symmetry amounts to the exact gaugeon action in the effective theory of perturbative quantum gravity.  相似文献

The interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3) has been used to study the isospin excitation states and mixed symmetry states at low spin for 28Si. The theoretical calculations are in agreement with experimental data. The theoretical results show that the 81+ energy is 14.73 MeV.  相似文献

The interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3) has been used to study mixed symmetry states and electromagnetic transitions at low-lying states for a ^28Si nucleus. The theoretical calculations show that the 24^+ state is the lowest mixed symmetry state in ^28Si and the 43+ state is also a mixed symmetry state.  相似文献
