The integrable open-boundary conditions for the model of three coupled one-dimensional XY spin chains are considered in the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method. The diagonal boundary K-matrices are found and a class of integrable boundary terms is determined. The boundary model Hamiltonian is solved by using the coordinate space Bethe ansatz technique and Bethe ansatz equations are derived.  相似文献

Results of Monte Carlo simulations of XY and Heisenberg spin glass models in three dimensions are presented. A finite-size scaling analysis of the correlation length of the spins and chiralities of both models shows that there is a single, finite-temperature transition at which both spins and chiralities order.  相似文献

We develop the BRST approach to Lagrangian formulation for massive higher integer spin fields on a flat space–time of arbitrary dimension. General procedure of gauge invariant Lagrangian construction describing the dynamics of massive bosonic field with any spin is given. No off-shell constraints on the fields (like tracelessness) and the gauge parameters are imposed. The procedure is based on construction of new representation for the closed algebra generated by the constraints defining an irreducible massive bosonic representation of the Poincaré group. We also construct Lagrangian describing propagation of all massive bosonic fields simultaneously. As an example of the general procedure, we derive the Lagrangians for spin-1, spin-2 and spin-3 fields containing total set of auxiliary fields and gauge symmetries of free massive bosonic higher spin field theory.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate spherically symmetric vacuum solutions of f(R) gravity in a higher-dimensional spacetime. With this objective we construct a system of non-linear differential equations whose solutions depend on the explicit form assumed for the function F(R)=\fracdf(R)dRF(R)=\frac{df(R)}{dR} . We explicit show that for specific classes of this function exact solutions from the field equations are obtained; also we find approximated results for the metric tensor for more general cases admitting F(R) close to the unity.  相似文献

Asymptotical behaviour of effective action in higher derivative gravity is investigated in the limit of strong gravitational and strong scalar fields. It is shown that asymptotic is determined by the scalar self-interaction or by Weyl tensor in power 2.We are grateful to E. S. Fradkin, I. V. Tyutin and A. O. Barvinsky for useful discussions.  相似文献

We perform the dual transformation of theYang-Mills theory in three dimensions using the Wilson action on the cubic lattice. The dual lattice is made of tetrahedra triangulating a 3-dimensional curved manifold but which is embedded into a flat 6-dimensional space [for the SU(2) gauge group]. In the continuum limit, the theory can be reformulated in terms of 6-component gauge-invariant scalar fields having the meaning of the external coordinates of the dual lattice sites. These 6-component fields induce a metric and a curvature of the 3-dimensional dual-color space. The Yang-Mills theory can also be rewritten as a quantum gravity theory with the Einstein-Hilbert action but with a purely imaginary Newton constant plus a homogeneous “ether” term. The theory can be formulated in a gauge-invariant and local form without explicit color degrees of freedom.  相似文献

The quadratic curvature lagrangians having metric field equations with second order trace are constructed relative to an orthonormal coframe. In n > 4 dimensions, pure quadratic curvature lagrangian having second order trace constructed contains three free parameters in the most general case. The fourth order field equations of some of these models, in arbitrary dimensions, are cast in a particular form using the Schouten tensor. As a consequence, the field equations for the New massive gravity theory are related to those of the Topologically massive gravity. In particular, the conditions under which the latter is “square root” of the former are presented.  相似文献

We analyze the constraints on the general form and the singularity structure of the correlation functions of the symmetric, traceless and conserved stress-energy tensor implied by conformal invariance and higher spin symmetry in four dimensions. In particular, we show that all these correlation functions will have at most double pole singularities. We then compute the 4-, 5- and 6-point functions of the stress-energy tensor and find that they are linear combinations of the three free field expressions (scalar, fermion and Maxwell field). This is a strong indication that all such theories are essentially free.  相似文献
