In this paper an approximate solution of the problem for the calculation of the frequency spectrum in circular, convex AT-cut bevelled — design quartz resonators, operating in overtones of coupled TS-TT modes of vibration is given. A plot of nondimensional resonance frequency as a function of the plates geometry is made. The graph includes the influence of the bevel on the suppression of the unwanted anharmonic overtones of vibration.  相似文献

采用Tiersten方程研究了环形ZnO薄膜谐振器中横模寄生问题, 获得了环(圆)形薄膜谐振器的横模振动方程, 求得横模位移场解和频率色散方程; 然后采用电磁学模式合成理论进行分析, 发现环形薄膜谐振器横模频率与环形电极的内外径之比a/b有关, 振动模式可由圆形薄膜谐振器横模模式合成得到, 通过控制a/b能够抑制横模模式数和调控基膜频率. 采用外差激光干涉仪和网络矢量分析仪测量并比较了同批次的圆形和环形薄膜谐振器的上电极横模振动图样和电阻抗曲线. 振动图样显示环形薄膜谐振器振动模式可由半径为a和半径为b的圆形薄膜谐振器振动模式合成, 仅存在节圆数大于0的横模振动, 等于0的横模模式被抑制; 电阻抗曲线显示当a/b为0.436时, 环形薄膜谐振器的基频(约1217 MHz)和圆形的(0, 1)模式频率相等. 测量数据验证了模式合成理论的分析结果正确性, 为薄膜谐振器的横模抑制研究提供了理论基础和新方法.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the buckling properties of circular double-layered graphene sheets (DLGSs), using plate theory. The two graphene layers are modeled as two individual sheets whose interactions are determined by the Lennard-Jones potential of the carbon-carbon bond. An analytical solution of coupled governing equations is proposed for predicting the buckling properties of circular DLGSs. Using the present theoretical approach, the influences of boundary conditions, plate sizes, and buckling-mode shapes on the buckling behaviors are investigated in detail. The buckling stability is significantly affected by the buckling-mode shapes. As a result of van der Waals interactions, the buckling stress of circular DLGSs is much larger for the anti-phase mode than for the in-phase mode.  相似文献

The out-of-plane vibrations of a generalized thermoelastic circular plate are studied under different environmental temperature, plate dimensions and boundary conditions. The analytical expressions for thermoelastic damping of vibration and phase velocity of circumferential surface wave modes are obtained. It is noticed that the damping of vibrations and phase velocities of circumferential surface wave modes significantly depend on thermal relaxation time in addition to thermoelastic coupling in circular plates under resonance conditions. The surface conditions also impose significant effects on the vibrations of such resonators. The expressions for displacement and temperature fields in the plate resonator are also derived and obtained. Some numerical results have also been presented for illustration purpose in case of silicon material plate.  相似文献

Predicting thermoelastic damping (TED) is crucial in the design of high Q micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) resonators. In the past, some analytical models have been developed for TED in microbeam resonators. Rectangular and circular microplates are also common elements in many micro-resonators. Two analytical models have been developed for TED in the contour-mode vibration and the out-of-plane vibration of circular microplates, respectively. However, there is lack of works that model the TED in the out-of-plane vibration of rectangular microplates. This paper presents an analytical model for the TED in the fully clamped and simply supported rectangular microplates. The quality factor is found by calculating the energy dissipated per cycle of vibration over the volume of the microplate. The derivation in this paper shows that the model for the TED in the fully clamped and simply supported rectangular plates is the same as the model for the TED in the fully clamped and simply supported circular plates. For the rectangular microplates with other boundary conditions, based on Rayleigh's method, this paper presents a set of analytical approximate models to estimate the TED in the rectangular microplates vibrating in the fundamental mode. The present model is validated by comparison with previously reported model and the FEM model.  相似文献

本文利用表观弹性法分析了矩形六面体的三维耦合振动,重点分析并计算了矩形六面体的基模方式耦合振动,推出了矩形六面体基频振动的总体频率方程,得出了六面体基模耦合振动的三个谐振频率,即六面体三个轴向的谐振频率fx,fyfz,实验表明谐振频率的测量值与计算值基本符合,本研究将为复频超声清洗中换能振动系统的设计提供理论依据。  相似文献

This paper presents a new high power ultrasonic (HPU) radiator, which consists of a transducer, an ultrasonic horn, and a metal circular ring. Both the transducer and horn in longitudinal vibrations are used to drive a metal circular ring in a radial-axial coupled vibration. This coupled vibration cannot only generate ultrasound in both the radial and axial directions, but also focus the ultrasound inside the circular ring. Except for the radial-axial coupled vibration mode, the third longitudinal harmonic vibration mode with relative large vibration amplitude is also detected, which can be used as another operation mode. Overall, the HPU with these two vibration modes should have good potential to be applied in liquid processing, such as sonochemistry, ultrasonic cleaning, and Chinese herbal medicine extraction.  相似文献

利用三维离散元法对垂直方向上的直线、圆和椭圆振动模式颗粒分离过程进行了数值模拟研究,对直线振动时上层大颗粒的波动及圆和椭圆振动时出现的聚集、循环等现象的形成机理进行了分析,并讨论了振动强度对各振动模式下颗粒分离形态的影响规律. 研究表明,综合运用空隙填充、侧面驱动的颗粒运动和能量非均匀分布三种机理,并结合颗粒群的速度矢量分布情况能够较好地解释各振动模式下的颗粒分离行为. 振动强度对圆和椭圆振动模式的分离形态具有显著的影响,并在振动强度约为3时,各种振动模式均具有良好的颗粒分离效果和稳定的颗粒运动状态.  相似文献

Tunable filter based on two metal–insulator–metal (MIM) waveguides coupled to each other by a ring resonator with double narrow gaps is designed and numerically investigated by finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations. The propagating modes of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) are studied. By introducing narrow gaps in ring resonators, the transmission in different resonance modes can be effectively adjusted by changing the gap width (g), and the transmitted peak wavelength has a nonlinear relationship with g. Another structure consisting two cascading ring resonators and regular MIM waveguide have also been proposed. The mechanism based on circular ring resonators with narrow gaps may provide a novel method for designing all-optical integrated components in optical communication and computing.  相似文献

Whispering gallery mode particle sensing experiments are commonly performed with solid resonators, whereby the sensing volume is limited to the weak evanescent tail of the mode near the resonator surface. In this work we discuss in detail the sensitivity enhancements achievable in liquid droplet resonators wherein the stronger internal fields and convenient means of particle delivery can be exploited. Asymptotic formulae are derived for the relative resonance shift, line broadening and mode splitting of TE and TM modes in liquid droplet resonators. As a corollary the relative fraction of internal and external mode energy follows, which is shown to govern achievable sensitivity enhancements of solute concentration measurements in droplet sensors. Experimental measurements of nanoparticle concentration based on whispering gallery mode resonance broadening are also presented.  相似文献

AlGaInAs/InP coupled-circular microlasers with radius of 10- and 2-μm width middle bus waveguide are fabricated by photolithography and inductively coupled plasma etching techniques. Room-temperature continuous-wave single-mode operation is realized with an output power of 0.17 mW and a side-mode suppression ratio of 23 dB at 45 mA. A longitudinal mode interval of 11 nm is obtained from the lasing spectra, and mode Q factor of 6.2×10 3 is estimated from 3-dB width of a minor peak near the threshold current. The mode characteristics are simulated by finite-difference time-domain technique for coupled- circular resonators. The results show that, in addition to the coupled modes, high-radial-order whispering gallery modes with travelling wave behaviors can also have high Q factors in the coupled-circular resonators with a middle bus waveguide.  相似文献

Three geometries of split-ring resonators (SRRs) including circular geometry and two elliptical geometries were fabricated by modern photolithography process. The samples were measured by terahertz time-domain transmission spectroscopy. These spectra clearly revealed the lower-frequency LC resonances and the higher-frequency dipole resonances; meanwhile, the coupling effect between the LC and dipole resonance had played an important role in the overall response. Comparing the results shows that the LC resonance, dipole resonance, and the coupling effect can be designed. A simple transmission-line (TL) RLC circuit model was used to help us understand this coupling behavior and the extent of its effects. But the simple model has some disadvantage. For better matching TL-RLC model results with measured data, an improved model was introduced for the circular and y-direction stretched elliptical geometry SRRs. Other resonances and modes existing at higher frequencies except the typical LC and dipole resonances were revealed by the improved model.  相似文献

In this paper, vibration analysis of the coupled system of double-layered graphene sheets (CS-DLGSs) embedded in a Visco-Pasternak foundation is carried out using the nonlocal elasticity theory of orthotropic plate. The two DLGSs are coupled by an enclosing viscoelastic medium which is simulated as a Visco-Pasternak foundation. Considering the Von Kármán nonlinear strain-displacement-relations, the motion equations are derived using the Hamilton's principle. Differential quadrature method (DQM) is applied to obtain the frequency ratio for various boundary conditions. The detailed parametric study is conducted, focusing on the combined effects of the nonlocal parameter, aspect ratio, graphene sheet's size, boundary conditions and the elastic and viscoelastic medium coefficients on the frequency ratio of CS-DLGSs. In this coupled system, two case of DLGSs vibration are investigated and compared with each other: (1) In-phase vibration (2) Out-of-phase vibration. The results indicate that the frequency ratio of the CS-DLGSs is more than the single-layered graphene sheet (SLGS). The results are in good agreement with the previous researches.  相似文献

This paper presents the implementation of autoparametric phenomena to reduce the symmetrical vibration of a curved beam/panel under external harmonic excitation. The internal energy transfer of a first symmetric mode into first anti-symmetric mode in a curved panel is one example of autoparametric vibration absorber effect. This is similar to the vibration energy transfer from the resonance of a primary structure to the resonance of a secondary spring–mass (tuned mass damper). The nonlinear response of a curved beam is analyzed using an equation with two modes, and a shaker test. The effect of different configurations of the curve beam/panel, including damping ratios and excitation levels, on the energy transfer of the first symmetric mode to the first anti-symmetric mode was studied.The conventional tuned mass damper (TMD) can reduce the resonance response by energy transfer using damping dissipation, whereas an autoparametric vibration absorber (AVA) can reduce the resonance response by energy transfer using parametric interaction. The results indicate that there is a non-absorption region in which vibration is amplified. For the AVA, the non-absorption region can be minimized by tuning the resonance frequency of the first anti-symmetric mode to half of the first symmetric mode resonance frequency using additional mass. No additional damping material is required for achieving sufficient vibration reduction. The AVA can maintain reliable performance in hot and corrosive environments where damping material cannot perform effectively. This paper presents the first successful experimental results of an autoparametric vibration absorption mechanism in a curved beam.  相似文献

Quartz crystal resonators (QCRs) with circular electrodes have been widely used for various liquid and gas sensing applications. In this work,quartz crystal resonators with elliptical electrodes were studied and tested for liquid property measurement. Mindlin’s theory was used to optimize the dimension and geometry of the electrodes and a 5-MHz QCR with minimum series resistance and without any spurious modes was obtained. A series of AT-cut QCRs with elliptical electrodes of different sizes were fabricated and their sensing performances were compared to devices with circular electrodes. The experimental result shows that the device with elliptical electrodes can obtain lower resonance impedance and a higher Q factor,which results in a better loading capability. Even though the sensitivities of devices with elliptical and circular electrodes are found to be similar,the sensor with elliptical electrodes has much higher resolution due to a better frequency stability. The study indicates that the performance of QCRs with elliptical electrodes is superior to that of traditional QCRs with circular electrodes.  相似文献

Cavity aeroacoustic noise is relevant for aerospace and automotive industries and widely investigated since the 1950s. Most investigations so far consider cavities where opening length and width are of similar scale. The present investigation focuses on a less investigated setup, namely cavities that resemble the door gaps of automobiles. These cavities are both slender (width much greater than length or depth) and partially covered. Furthermore they are under influence of a low Mach number flow with a relatively thick boundary layer. Under certain conditions, these gaps can produce tonal noise. The present investigation attempts to reveal the aeroacoustic mechanism of this tonal noise for higher resonance modes. Experiments have been conducted on a simplified geometry, where unsteady internal pressures have been measured at different spanwise locations. With increasing velocity, several resonance modes occur. In order to obtain higher mode shapes, the cavity acoustic response is simulated and compared with experiment. Using the frequency-filtered simulation pressure field, the higher modes shapes are retrieved. The mode shapes can be interpreted as the slender cavity self-organizing into separate Helmholtz resonators that interact with each other. Based on this, an analytical model is derived that shows good agreement with the simulations and experimental results.  相似文献

Threshold conditions for electrothermal automodulation instability in high-Q ferroelectric microwave cryogenic resonators operating in the two-mode regime are investigated. The dependence of the electrothermal automodulation frequency on the numbers of interacting modes for different combinations of thermal modes and surface electromagnetic whispering-gallery modes is presented. The threshold power exciting the electrothermal automodulation of the oscillation of the partial mode electromagnetic amplitudes is compared with the threshold power of strictional parametric excitation of acoustic oscillations in the resonator. It is shown that the electrothermal automodulation in the two-mode regime may take place at an excitation power from 10 to 120 μW depending on the combination of interacting thermal and electromagnetic surface modes. Calculated threshold powers are low, which makes it possible to apply the electrothermal automodulation for improving the sensitivity of resonance bolometers and distributed microwave antennas with basic elements built around nonlinear microwave resonators. In addition, the electrothermal automodulation could be applied in developing novel microwave metamaterials. Nonlinear microwave whispering-gallery cryogenic resonators can be used as elements increasing the sensitivity of EPR spectroscopy methods.  相似文献

Elliptical deformation of oversized, smooth-wall circular waveguides can produce choosable elliptical or circular polarization from a linearly polarized TE11 or TM11 mode used as intermediate linearly polarized modes in TEO1 to HE11 mode conversion sequences in electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) of magnetically confined thermonuclear fusion plasmas with high-power gyrotrons. Mode coupling in elliptically distorted overmoded circular waveguides has been studied theoretically and experimentally in order to optimize TE11 (and TM11) polarizers (I.D.=27.79 mm) for the 1 MW/70 GHz long-pulse (3s) ECRH system on the Garching Stellarator W VII-AS. Coupling coefficients for ellipticity coupling of non-degenerate modes are given (coupled-mode differential equations formalism). The polarization converters essentially consist of smooth-wall circular waveguides which are gradually squeezed. A sine-squared function of the length coordinate is used to get an almost elliptical crosssection in the middle and circular cross sections at both ends. Arbitrary elliptical polarization states can be generated introducing an extremely low level (<<1%) of undesired spurious modes. Well defined differential phase characteristics have been achieved.  相似文献
