部分偏振光通过透镜时的偏振像差分析   总被引:4,自引:1,他引:3  
本文定量推导了轴上物点发出的部分偏振光通过透镜时其偏振度、偏振分量方位角和椭率角与透镜参数和入射光参量间的关系。对已知参数的透镜进行了定量计算,表明处于一定偏振状态的部分偏振光经透镜后其偏振度、偏振分量方位角和椭率角在出射光束截面上呈一定分布,产生偏振像差。给出了部分偏振光基本参量变化的数量级。指出在高精度光学测量中为避免透镜偏振像差影响,应尽可能减小光束半径和发散角。  相似文献

We analyze symmetry properties of the three-dimensional magnetization distribution in the optic-magneto film induced by focused circularly polarized lights. The magnetization distributions are derived and evaluated based on the vector diffraction theory and the inverse Faraday effect of the isotropic and nonmagnetically ordered material. It is shown that for any radial symmetrical amplitude, phase, or hybrid amplitude-phase pupil filter, the magnetization distribution of the axial component is circular symmetric but those of the radial and azimuthal components are annular symmetric with regard to the optical axis. All of the three components have a symmetric distribution with regard to the focal plane. The direction of both axial and radial components can be inversed with the helicity of incident circularly polarized light but the direction of azimuthal component is independent of helicity. The axial component has a decisive effect to all-optical magnetic recording, and within the effective axial range, the size of its magnetization domain hardly expands in the transverse direction.  相似文献

Analytical transform formulae for partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams propagating in dispersive and absorbing media are derived by use of a new tensor method. Using the derived formulae, we studied the polarization and irradiance distribution properties of partially polarized GSM beams in dispersive and absorbing media. The results show that the dispersive and absorbing media has strong influence on the polarization and irradiance distribution of partially polarized GSM beams. The polarization and irradiance distribution of partially polarized GSM beams in dispersive and absorbing media are also closely related to the initial coherence and the source spectral width of partially polarized GSM beams. The propagation properties of an nonpolarized GSM beam and partially polarized GSM beams are compared and discussed. Our method provides a convenient way to treat the propagation of partially polarized GSM beams in different linear medium.  相似文献

部分偏振光传播时的光强和偏振态变化情况比较复杂, 尤其是当大数值孔径成像时, 光束的偏振态还会影响成像质量. 本文提出一种用于分析部分偏振光能量传递和偏振态的光线椭圆方法, 采用光线椭圆叠加的办法来分析光束在各向同性的均匀介质中传输时能量和偏振态的变化情况, 同时直观性好, 计算量小. 论文最后, 对大数值孔径、 高像质的齐明透镜系统讨论了入射无偏振光的能量、 偏振态变化, 以及偏振效应问题. 结果表明, 大数值孔径使成像光束中TM偏振光强度相对增加, 影响成像对比度; 提高像方介质的折射率, 会改善此种偏振效应问题.  相似文献

The tight focusing of spirally polarized focused vortex beams is analyzed numerically based on the vectorial Debye theory. The expressions for the electric field and the orbital angular momentum of focused beams are derived. It is shown that the intensity distribution in the focal plane is dependent on the specific spirally polarized state and the coefficient of the spiral polarization function. By presenting the phase contours of the component polarized in the radial direction, it is found that the radii of dislocation lines will increase with the increase of the power of the spirally polarization function. It is reveled that the same orbital angular momentum can be obtained for different spirally polarized state at certain distance along the propagation direction in the focal region. Besides, the orbital angular momentum distributions for different polarized states have fewer crossover points with each other for higher topological charge. The influence of the spirally polarized state on the orbital angular momentum in the focal plane is also studied.  相似文献

 为了精确地测量旋光效应中偏振光的旋光角度及其分布,提出了基于偏振分束成像的旋光角度场测量新方法。分析和推理论证了旋光角度场测量理论基础,设计构建了光电检测验证系统,即根据偏振光分束原理,借助于高清晰度CCD采集图像,由计算机对图像进行中值滤波和基于奇异值的匹配处理,再采用“差除和”信号处理以消除光源波动的影响,得到检测结果。实验结果表明,与传统的测量方法相比,该方法不受光源波动的影响,能精确、快速地检测旋光角度二维分布场,并具有很好的线性,数据的均方差仅为传统测量方法的40%。  相似文献

The surface of a solid plate light guide patterned with nanostructure composed of bilayered dielectric and metallic stripes is capable of partially transmitting only one of two orthogonal polarizations while reflecting most of the other, and therefore performs as a reflective polarizer. The polarization dependent transmittance, polarization efficiency and extinction ratio of both parallel and cross stacking of the bilayered nanostructure have been analyzed for all radial and azimuthal light incident angles. Both configurations have shown overall polarization efficiency above 98% over the visible spectrum, and exhibit an extinction ratio above 1,000 within a specific range of light incident angle. Accompanied by a proper polarization converter and light extraction pattern, the polarized light guide can provide a high efficiency or even a polarizer free illumination optics for an application where a planar illuminator with polarized light is required.  相似文献

Circularly polarized light exerts torque on birefringent objects. In the case of axially symmetric particles, however, the moment of radiation force balances the direct optical torque. This explains the observation that radial liquid-crystal droplets, in contrast to planar droplets, do not spin in circularly polarized light. The conclusion is in agreement with considerations based on the angular momentum conservation of light [Phys. Rev. Lett.96, 163905 (2006)].  相似文献

In the present work the propagation of a partially coherent radially polarized beam through aligned and misaligned ABCD optical systems is discussed. The elements of the beam coherence-polarization matrix for a partially coherent radially polarized beam propagating through these systems are derived for the first time. Using the derived analytical results the intensity distribution of the focused partially coherent radially polarized beam after a low-NA lens is investigated. It is shown that the coherence of the light source affects the beam intensity profile at the focal plane significantly, while for the given coherence of the light source the focal length of the used lens does not affect the beam intensity profile at the focal plane. This is consistent with the case of a partially coherent Hermite-Gaussian beam, as expected.  相似文献

Focal shift in radially polarized beam with radial cosine phase wavefront are investigated theoretically by vector diffraction theory. The wavefront phase distribution is cosine function of radial coordinate. Simulation results show that when the radially polarized beam with radial cosine wavefront phase is focused, the focal pattern differs considerably with frequency parameter in the cosine function term. On increasing C, focus can shift along optical axis and focal pattern changes remarkably. Focus may move in different direction under different condition. Focal shift distance fluctuates on increasing C, and fluctuation amplitude also increases simultaneously. In addition, focal shift direction can also be adjusted by changing frequency parameter in cosine function.  相似文献

Based on the extended Huygens–Fresnel principle and the unified theory of coherence and polarization of light, we investigate the propagation properties of a radially polarized beam through turbulent ocean. Analytic formulae for the spectral density, the spectral degree of polarization, and the beam characteristics of such a beam on propagation are discussed. It is shown that under the influence of oceanic turbulence, the radially polarized beam will change to a partially polarized one and the beam profile will approach to a Gaussian distribution.  相似文献

A method is developed for analyzing the state of polarization of a plane wave transmitted through a polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal (PDLC) film with nanosized liquid-crystal (LC) droplets. This method is based on the anisotropic-dipole approximation for describing scattering by a separate droplet and on the Foldy-Twersky approximation for describing propagation of light in a film. Equations are obtained that relate the ellipsometric parameters of coherent (direct) light transmitted through a PDLC film to the order parameters that characterize the morphological and structural properties of the film. Elliptic and circular polarizations and the rotation of the plane of polarization of a wave transmitted through a film are investigated under the normal illumination of the PDLC film by a linearly polarized plane wave. The order parameters of the PDLC film are determined as a function of a control field under the transition from a partially ordered structure of optical axes of LC droplets to a homeotropic structure.  相似文献

A method is developed for modeling and computing the angular distribution of light scattered forward from a single-layer polymer-dispersed liquid-crystal (PDLC) film. The method is based on effective-medium approximation, anomalous diffraction approximation, and far-field single-scattering approximation. The angular distribution of forward-scattered light is analyzed for PDLC films with droplet size larger than the optical wavelength. The method can be used to study field-and temperature-induced phase transitions in LC droplets with cylindrical symmetry by measuring polarized scattered light intensity.  相似文献

Target mass correction (TMC) is employed to amend the polarized helium structure functions, 3He . The structure function can be obtained via the convolution of the light cone momentum distribution with the polarized structure of the proton and neutron. The calculation of the polarized structure function of the nucleon is based on the constituent quark model. The analytical result for 3He polarized structure function at low values of Q2 is not in good agreement with the available experimental data. The reliability of calculations is increased using TMC effect. New comparison confirms a better agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

We discuss a rigorous vectorial theory as a model to represent the enhanced backscattering of polarized light from a random medium. The theory is based on the well known relation between the contributions of the ladder and cyclical diagrams to the intensity which allows to express these contributions in terms of radiative transfer theory. The tensor transfer equation for the electromagnetic field in a half-space occupied by point-like scatterers is explicitly solved with the aid of the Wiener-Hopf method. For the case of normal incidence the angular distribution of the backscattered intensity and the enhancement factor are found for arbitrary angles between the incident and detected linear polarizations and the scanning plane. To describe spatial anisotropy of the backscattering cone the half width at half maximum of the intensity is calculated as a function of these angles. Coherent backscattering of circularly polarized light is also considered.  相似文献

The method of polarization visualization of a multiply scattering medium containing macroinhomogeneities based on analysis of polarization spatial distribution of a scattered linearly polarized light is discussed. The treatment is based on statistical properties of the effective optical path distribution of scattered field components. The influence of media scattering properties and the geometry of the experiment on the inhomogeneity image contrast obtained with use of polarization degree and of normalized scattered intensity of radiation as visualization parameters are discussed, as well as spatial resolution achieved in these both cases. Using the results of theoretical analysis and of the experimental model, the relationship between the shapes of spatial distributions of polarization degree and the intensity of the scattered light is considered as a function of the position of the visualized object (an absorbing half-plane immersed in a plane layer of the scattering medium). The opportunities for enhancing the quality of the images formed in this way are also discussed.  相似文献

通过对菲涅耳三维漫反射全息记录光路中物光与参考光偏振状态的实验检测,发现线偏振的激光被不同表面材料的物体散射和漫反射后变成“部分偏振光”,几乎所有目标物都有显著的消偏振现象,全息干板上实际记录的是线偏振的参考光与“部分偏振”的物光形成的相干度较低的干涉条纹。物光偏振度的大幅度下降影响干涉条纹的衬比度,并增加全息图的噪声。给出实验方案和检测光路,采用在参考光路中插入1/4波片的方法,可充分利用非偏振物光各个振动方向的光能,提高条纹的衬比度。  相似文献

It is known that one can determine the mode orders(i.e.,the azimuthal order and radial order)of a partially coherent LG_(pl) beam(i.e.,a partially coherent vortex beam)based on the measurement of the cross-correlation function(CCF)and the double correlation function(DCF)together.The technique for measuring the CCF is known.In this Letter,we propose a method for measuring the DCF.Based on the proposed method,the determination of the mode orders of a partially coherent LG_(pl) beam is demonstrated experimentally.  相似文献

针对传统基于正弦波磁光调制的方位失调角测量系统存在测量精度不高的问题,提出了一种新的系统方位失调角测量模型以提高系统测量精度。通过分析传统的基于正弦波磁光调制的方位失调角测量原理发现,由于采用省略高阶项的贝塞尔函数展开式表示磁光调制后的信号,引入了信号截断误差和方法误差,影响了系统测量精度。在分析基础上推导建立了一种基于纯三角函数表示的无理论误差的方位失调角测量新模型并进行了仿真。仿真结果表明,利用推导建立的失调角测量新模型,系统测量精度明显高于传统方法,这对重新理解基于正弦波磁光调制的方位失调角测量系统原理、提高系统测量精度具有一定的参考意义。  相似文献
