There is a well-known fact, that any group G 1 is a CEP-subgroup both for the direct product G 1 × G 2 and the free productG 1 * G 2 of G 1 with any group G 2. The paper gives a necessary and sufficient condition providing that a multiplier G i of a n-periodic product Π iI n G i of any family of groups {G i } iI is a CEP-subgroup. Particularly, the found criterionmeans that any group G 1 of odd period n ≥ 665 is a CEP-subgroup of the n-periodic product Π iI n G i for any group G 2.  相似文献

Let F n be the free group of rank n, and let Aut+(F n ) be its special automorphism group. For an epimorphism π : F n G of the free group F n onto a finite group G we call the standard congruence subgroup of Aut+(F n ) associated to G and π. In the case n = 2 we fully describe the abelianization of Γ+(G, π) for finite abelian groups G. Moreover, we show that if G is a finite non-perfect group, then Γ+(G, π) ≤ Aut+(F 2) has infinite abelianization.  相似文献

In the present paper for arbitrary automorphism φ of the free Bunside group B(m, n) and for any odd number n ≥ 1003 a sufficient condition for existence of non-φ-admissible normal subgroup of B(m, n) was found. In particular, if automorphism φ is normal, then for any basis {a 1, a 2, …, a m } of the group B(m, n) there is an integer k such that for each i the elements a i and φ(a i) k are conjugates.  相似文献

For a field F of characteristic zero and an additive subgroup G of F, a Lie algebra B(G) of the Block type is defined with the basis {Lα,i, c|α∈G, -1≤i∈Z} and the relations [Lα,i,Lβ,j] = ((i 1)β- (j 1)α)Lα β,i j αδα,-βδi j,-2c,[c, Lα,i] = 0. Given a total order (?) on G compatible with its group structure, and anyα∈B(G)0*, a Verma B(G)-module M(A, (?)) is defined, and the irreducibility of M(A,(?)) is completely determined. Furthermore, it is proved that an irreducible highest weight B(Z )-module is quasifinite if and only if it is a proper quotient of a Verma module.  相似文献

An involution v of a group G is said to be finite (in G) if vv g has finite order for any gG. A subgroup B of G is called a strongly embedded (in G) subgroup if B and G\B contain involutions, but BB g does not, for any gG\B. We prove the following results. Let a group G contain a finite involution and an involution whose centralizer in G is periodic. If every finite subgroup of G of even order is contained in a simple subgroup isomorphic, for some m, to L 2(2 m ) or Sz(2 m ), then G is isomorphic to L 2(Q) or Sz(Q) for some locally finite field Q of characteristic two. In particular, G is locally finite (Thm. 1). Let a group G contain a finite involution and a strongly embedded subgroup. If the centralizer of some involution in G is a 2-group, and every finite subgroup of even order in G is contained in a finite non-Abelian simple subgroup of G, then G is isomorphic to L 2(Q) or Sz(Q) for some locally finite field Q of characteristic two (Thm. 2). Let a set B have the following properties: if zB, then z ± 2πB and the intersection of B with the vertical strip 0 ≤ Re xπ is a closed and bounded set. In this paper we study the approximation of a continuous on B and 2π-periodic function f(z) by trigonometric polynomials T n (z). We establish the necessary and sufficient conditions for the function f(z) to be entire and specify a formula for calculating its order. We create a method which allows an arbitrary group G with an infrainvariant system ℒ(G) of subgroups to be embedded in a group G* with an infrainvariant system ℒ(G*) of subgroups, so that G α*G ∈ ℒ(G) for every subgroup G α*G ∈ ℒ(G*) and each factor B/A of a jump of subgroups in ℒ(G*) is isomorphic to a factor of a jump in ℒ(G), or to any specified group H. Using this method, we state new results on right-ordered groups. In particular, it is proved that every Conrad right-ordered group is embedded with preservation of order in a Conrad right-ordered group of Hahn type (i.e., a right-ordered group whose factors of jumps of convex subgroups are order isomorphic to the additive group ℝ); every right-ordered Smirnov group is embedded in a right-ordered Smirnov group of Hahn type; a new proof is given for the Holland–McCleary theorem on embedding every linearly ordered group in a linearly ordered group of Hahn type.  相似文献

According to a classical result of Burnside, if G is a finite 2-group, then the Frattini subgroup Φ(G) of G cannot be a nonabelian group of order 8. Here we study the next possible case, where G is a finite 2-group and Φ(G) is nonabelian of order 16. It is proved that, if G is a finite group that has the same set of element orders as the simple group D p (q), where p is prime, p ≥ 5 and q ∈ {2, 3, 5}, then the commutator group of G/F(G) is isomorphic to D p (q), the subgroup F(G) is equal to 1 for q = 5 and to O q (G) for q ∈ {2, 3}, F(G) ≤ G′, and |G/G′| ≤ 2.  相似文献

The paper gives a construction of a free monoid of rank 2 in the group of automorphisms of free periodic groups B(m, n) of any odd period n ≥ 665 and any rank m > 1.Moreover, it is proved that if the period is any prime numbern > 1003 and the group B(m, n) is nested in some n-periodic group G as a normal subgroup, then B(m, n) is a direct factor in G.  相似文献

And show if σ2(G) ≥ n + k − 1, then for any set of k independent vertices v 1,...,v k , G has k vertex-disjoint cycles C 1,..., C k such that v i V(C i ) for all 1 ≤ i ≤ k, V(C 1) ∪...∪ V(C k ) = V(G), and |C i | ≤ 4 for all 1 ≤ i ≤ k − 1. It is proved that all the equivalence relations of a universal algebra A are its congruences if and only if either |A| ≤ 2 or every operation f of the signature is a constant (i.e., f(a 1 , . . . , a n ) = c for some c ∈ A and all the a 1 , . . . , a n A) or a projection (i.e., f(a 1 , . . . , a n ) = a i for some i and all the a 1 , . . . , a n A). All the equivalence relations of a groupoid G are its right congruences if and only if either |G| ≤ 2 or every element aG is a right unit or a generalized right zero (i.e., x a  = y a for all x, yG). All the equivalence relations of a semigroup S are right congruences if and only if either |S| ≤ 2 or S can be represented as S = AB, where A is an inflation of a right zero semigroup, and B is the empty set or a left zero semigroup, and ab = a, ba = a 2 for aA, bB. If G is a groupoid of 4 or more elements and all the equivalence relations of it are right or left congruences, then either all the equivalence relations of the groupoid G are left congruences, or all of them are right congruences. Let K2 be the Milnor functor and let Фn (x)∈ Q[X] be the n-th cyclotomic polynomial. Let Gn(Q) denote a subset consisting of elements of the form {a, Фn(a)}, where a ∈ Q^* and {, } denotes the Steinberg symbol in K2Q. J. Browkin proved that Gn(Q) is a subgroup of K2Q if n = 1,2, 3, 4 or 6 and conjectured that Gn(Q) is not a group for any other values of n. This conjecture was confirmed for n =2^T 3S or n = p^r, where p ≥ 5 is a prime number such that h(Q(ζp)) is not divisible by p. In this paper we confirm the conjecture for some n, where n is not of the above forms, more precisely, for n = 15, 21,33, 35, 60 or 105.  相似文献

For a finite group G, let T(G) denote a set of primes such that a prime p belongs to T(G) if and only if p is a divisor of the index of some maximal subgroup of G. It is proved that if G satisfies any one of the following conditions: (1) G has a p-complement for each p∈T(G); (2)│T(G)│= 2: (3) the normalizer of a Sylow p-subgroup of G has prime power index for each odd prime p∈T(G); then G either is solvable or G/Sol(G)≌PSL(2, 7) where Sol(G) is the largest solvable normal subgroup of G.  相似文献

An explicit formula is given for the number of subgroups of indexp n in the principle congruence subgroups of SL2(ℤ p ) (for odd primesp), and for the zeta function associated with the group. Asymptotically this number iscnp n , wherec is a constant depending on the congruence subgroup. Also, the zeta function of thei-th congruence subgroup coincides with the partial zeta function of the 3-generated subgroups of thei+1-th congruence subgroup, and for each indexp n the ratio between 2-generated subgroups and 3-generated subgroups tends top - 1:1, asn tends to infinity.
