The two pentadentate amino-pyridine ligands L5(2) and L5(3) (L5(2) and L5(3) stand for the N-methyl-N,N',N'-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine and the N-methyl-N,N',N'-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)propane-1,3-diamine, respectively) were used to synthesize four mononuclear Mn(II) complexes, namely [(L5(2))MnCl](PF6) (1(PF6)), [(L5(3))MnCl](PF6) (2(PF6)), [(L5(2))Mn(OH2)](BPh4)2 (3(BPh4)2), and [(L5(3))Mn(OH2)](BPh4)2 (4(BPh4)2). The X-ray diffraction studies revealed different configurations for the ligand L5(n) (n = 2, 3) depending on the sixth exogenous ligand and/or the counterion. Solid state high-field electron paramagnetic resonance spectra were recorded on complexes 1-4 as on previously described mononuclear Mn(II) systems with tetra- or hexadentate amino-pyridine ligands. Positive and negative axial zero-field splitting (ZFS) parameters D were determined whose absolute values ranged from 0.090 to 0.180 cm(-1). Density-functional theory calculations were performed unraveling that, in contrast with chloro systems, the spin-spin and spin-orbit coupling contributions to the D-parameter are comparable for mixed N,O-coordination sphere complexes.  相似文献

Functional systems that combine redox-active metals and noninnocent ligands are no longer rare chemical oddities; they are instead emerging as significant components of catalytic and enzymatic reactions. The present work examines the synthetic and functional aspects of iron compounds ligated by a family of new trisamidoamine ligands of the type [(RNC6H4)3N]3- (L1). When R is the electron-rich 4-t-Bu-Ph moiety, the ligand can undergo oxidative rearrangement and store oxidizing equivalents under specific conditions. Starting ferrous complexes of the general formula [(L1)FeIIsolv]- (solv=CH3CN, dimethylformamide) can be easily oxidized (a) by dioxygen to afford the corresponding [(L1)FeIIIOH]- complexes, featuring several cases of terminal hydroxo units, and (b) by organochlorides (R-Cl) to provide [(L1)FeIIIsolv] congeners and coupled R-R products. Efforts to synthesize [(L1)FeIII-O-FeIII(L1)]2- by using [Cl3FeIII-O-FeIIICl3]2- indicate that intrinsic FeIIICl units can oxidatively rearrange the ligand to afford [(L1re)(Cl)FeII][Et4N]2, although the oxidizing equivalent is not retained. Compound [(L1re)(Cl)FeII][Et4N]2 can be further oxidized to [(L1re-2)(Cl)FeIII][Et4N] by CH2Cl2. Finally, oxidation of [(L1)FeIIIsolv] by FeCl3 affords [(L1reH)(Cl)FeII(micro-Cl)2FeII(Cl)(L1re-2H)], which features a similar ligand rearrangement that also gives rise to a diamagnetic, doubly oxidized moiety. These results underscore the complexity of chemical transformations available to systems in which both the metal and the ligand are redox-active entities.  相似文献

A new Schiff base, {1-[(2-hydroxy-naphthalen-1-ylmethylene)-amino]-4-phenyl-2-thioxo-1, 2-dihydro-pyrimidin-5-yl}-phenyl-methanone, has been synthesized from N-amino pyrimidine-2-thione and 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde. Metal complexes of the Schiff base were prepared from acetate/chloride salts of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) in methanol. The chemical structures of the Schiff-base ligand and its metal complexes were confirmed by elemental analyses, IR, 13C-NMR, 1H-NMR, API-ES, UV-Visible spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, and thermogravimetric analyses. The electronic spectral data and magnetic moment measurements suggest mononuclear octahedral and mononuclear or binuclear square planar structures for the metal complexes. In light of these results, it was suggested that this ligand coordinates to each metal atom by hydroxyl oxygen, azomethine nitrogen, and thione sulfur to form octahedral complexes with Cd(II) and Zn(II).  相似文献

Reaction of [Cp*IrCl2]2 (1) with dpmp in the presence of KPF6 afforded a binuclear complex [Cp*IrCl(dpmp-P1,P2;P3)IrCl2Cp*](PF6) (2) (dpmp =(Ph2PCH2)2PPh). The mononuclear complex [Cp*IrCl(dpmp-P1,P2)](PF6) (4) was generated by the reaction of [Cp*IrCl2(BDMPP)](BDMPP =PPh[2,6-(MeO)2C6H3]2) with dpmp in the presence of KPF6. These mono- and binuclear complexes have four-membered ring structures with a terminal and a central P atom of the dpmp ligand coordinated to an iridium atom as a bidentate ligand. Since there are two chiral centers at the Ir atom and a central P2 atom, there are two diastereomers that were characterized by spectrometry. Complexes anti-4 and syn-4 reacted with [Cp*RhCl2]2 or [(C6Me6)RuCl2]2, giving the corresponding mixed-metal complexes, anti- and syn- [Cp*IrCl(dppm-P1,P2;P3)MCl2L](PF6) (6: M = Rh, L = Cp*; 7: M = Ru, L = C6Me6). Treatment with AuCl(SC4H8) gave tetranuclear complexes, anti- and syn-8 [[Cp*IrCl(dppm-P1,P2;P3)AuCl]2](PF6)2 bearing an Au-Au bond. Reaction of anti- with PtCl2(cod) generated the trinuclear complex anti-9, anti-[[Cp*IrCl(dppm-P1,P2;P3)]2PtCl2](PF6)2. These reactions proceeded stereospecifically. The P,O-chelated complex syn-[Cp*IrCl(BDMPP-P,O)] (syn-10)(BDMPP-P,O = PPh[2,6-(MeO)2C6H3][2-O-6-(MeO)C6H3]2) reacted with dpmp in the presence of KPF6, generating the corresponding anti-complex as a main product as well as a small amount of syn-complex, [Cp*Ir(BDMPP-P,O)(dppm-P1)](PF6) (11). The reaction proceeded preferentially with inversion. The reaction processes were investigated by PM3 calculation. anti- was treated with MCl2(cod), giving anti-[Cp*Ir(BDMPP-P,O)(dppm-P1;P2,P3)MCl2](PF6)(14: M = Pt; 15: M = Pd), in which the MCl2 moiety coordinated to the two free P atoms of anti-11. The X-ray analyses of syn-2, anti-2, anti-4, anti-8 and anti-11 were performed.  相似文献

A new dioxime ligand, (2E,3E)-3-[(6-{[(1E,2E)-2-(hydroxyimino)-1-methylpropylidene]amino}-pyridin-2-yl)imino]butan-2-one oxime, (H2Pymdo) (3) has been synthesized in H2O by reacting 2,3-butenedione monoxime (2) with 2,6-diaminopyridine. Mono-, di- and tri-nuclear copper(II) complexes of the dioxime ligand (H2Pymdo) and/or 1,10-phenanthroline have been prepared. The dioxime ligand (H2Pymdo) and its copper(II) complexes were characterized by 1H-n.m.r., 13C-n.m.r. and elemental analyses, magnetic moments, i.r. and mass spectral studies. The mononuclear copper(II) complex of H2Pymdo was found to have a 1:1 metal:ligand ratio. Elemental analyses, stoichiometric and spectroscopic data of the metal complexes indicated that the metal ions are coordinated to the oxime and imine nitrogen atoms (C=N). In the dinuclear complexes, in which the first Cu(II) ion was complexed with nitrogen atoms of the oxime and imine groups, the second Cu(II) ion is ligated with dianionic oxygen atoms of the oxime groups and are linked to the 1,10-phenanthroline nitrogen atoms. The trinuclear copper(II) complex (6) was formed by coordination of the third Cu(II) ion with dianionic oxygen atoms of each of two molecules of the mononuclear copper(II) complexes. The data support the proposed structure of H2Pymdo and its Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

The new pincer ligand 2,6-bis[(1,3-di-tert-butylimidazolin-2-imino)methyl]pyridine (TL(tBu)) has been prepared in high yield from 2,6-bis(hydroxymethyl)pyridine (1) and 1,3-di-tert-butylimidazolin-2-imine (3). Reaction of TL(tBu) with [Cu(MeCN)4]PF6 affords the highly reactive copper(I) complex [(TL(tBu))Cu]PF6, [5]PF6, which forms the stable copper(I) isocyanide complexes [6a]PF6 (nu(CN) = 2179 cm(-1)) and [6b]PF6 (nu(CN) = 2140 cm(-1)) upon addition of tert-butyl or 2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide, respectively. For the cations 6a and 6b, DFT calculations reveal ground-state electronic structures of the type [(TL(tBu)-kappaN(1):kappaN(2))Cu(CNR)] with tricoordinate geometries around the copper atoms. Exposure of [5]PF6 to the air readily leads to trapping of atmospheric CO2 to form the square-planar complex [(TL(tBu))Cu(HCO3-kappaO)]PF6, [7]PF6, with the bicarbonate ligand adopting a rarely observed monodentate coordination mode. In chlorinated solvents such as dichloromethane or chloroform, [5]PF(6) rapidly abstracts chloride by reductive dechlorination of the solvent to yield [(TL(tBu))CuCl]PF6, [8]PF6 quantitatively. Reaction of TL(tBu) with copper(I) bromide or chloride affords complexes 9a and 9b, respectively, for which X-ray diffraction analysis, low-temperature NMR experiments and DFT calculations reveal the presence of a kappa(2)-coordinated ligand of the type [(TL(tBu)-kappaN(1):kappaN(2))CuX]. In solution, complex 9b undergoes slow disproportionation forming the mixed-valence copper(II)/copper(I) system [(TL(tBu))CuCl][CuCl2], [8]CuCl2 with a linear dichlorocuprate(I) counterion.  相似文献

The reaction of Fe2+ with CN-, which was first performed in 1704, has been used to synthesize a new series of basic [FeII,III(CN)4L2]n- complexes, where L is a monodentate ligand. trans-Na2[FeII(CN)4(DMSO)2] and cis-[NEt4]2[FeII(CN)4(pyridine)2] are synthesized by the direct reaction of FeCl2 with 4 equiv of CN- in DMSO or pyridine. Air oxidation of the latter compound gives cis-[NEt4][FeIII(CN)4(pyridine)2]. The non-cyanide ligands in these complexes undergo facile ligand exchange reactions with solvent. Reaction of cis-[NEt4]2[FeII(CN)4(pyridine)2] with CO at room temperature gives trans-[NEt4]2[FeII(CN)4(pyridine)(CO)].  相似文献

The syntheses of the chloro complexes [Ru(eta5-C5R5)Cl(L)] (R = H, Me; L = phosphinoamine ligand) (1a-d) have been carried out by reaction of [(eta5-C5H5)RuCl(PPh3)2] or {(eta5-C5Me5)RuCl}4 with the corresponding phosphinoamine (R,R)-1,2-bis((diisopropylphosphino)amino)cyclohexane), R,R-dippach, or 1,2-bis(((diisopropylphosphino)amino)ethane), dippae. The chloride abstraction reactions from these compounds lead to different products depending on the starting chlorocomplex and the reaction conditions. Under argon atmosphere, chloride abstraction from [(eta5-C5Me5)RuCl(R,R-dippach)] with NaBAr'4 yields the compound [(eta5-C5Me5)Ru(kappa3P,P'-(R,R)-dippach)][BAr'4] (2b) which exhibits a three-membered ring Ru-N-P by a new coordination form of this phosphinoamine. However, under the same conditions the reaction starting from [(eta5-C5Me5)RuCl(dippae)] yields the unsaturated 16 electron complex [(eta5-C5Me5)Ru(dippae)][BAr'4] (2d). The bonding modes of R,R-dippach and dippae ligands have been analyzed by DFT calculations. The possibility of tridentate P,N,P-coordination of the phosphinoamide ligand to a fragment [(eta5-C5Me5)Ru]+ is always present, but only the presence of a cyclohexane unit in the ligand framework converts this bonding mode in a more favorable option than the usual P,P-coordination. Dinitrogen [(eta5-C5R5)Ru(N2)(L)][BAr'4] (3a-d) and dioxygen complexes [(eta5-C5H5)Ru(O2)(R,R-dippach)][BPh4] (4a) and [(eta5-C5Me5)Ru(O2)(L)][BPh4] (4b,d) have been prepared by chloride abstraction under dinitrogen or dioxygen atmosphere, respectively. The presence of 16 electron [(eta5-C5H5)Ru(R,R-dippach)]+ species in fluorobenzene solutions of the corresponding dinitrogen or dioxygen complexes in conjunction with the presence of [BAr'4]- gave in some cases a small fraction of [Ru(eta5-C5H5)(eta6-C6H5F)][BAr'4] (5a), which has been isolated and characterized by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Metal complexes with terminal chalcogenido ligands are known for the early transition-metal complexes, yet for the heavier congeners (e.g., sulfido and selenido), there are no analogous examples for the late 3d metal ions. Reported herein is the isolation and characterization of monomeric iron(III) complexes containing sulfido and selenido ligands; isolation was accomplished using the tripodal ligand tris[(N'-tert-butylureaylato)-N-ethylene]aminato ([H3buea]3-). The FeIII-E (E = S2-, Se2-) complexes were prepared from the iron(II) precursor, [FeII(H3buea)]2-, and the elemental forms of the chalogen. The formulation of [FeIIIH3buea(S)]2- and [FeIIIH3buea(Se)]2- as monomeric complexes with Fe-E units is supported by spectroscopic, analytical, and X-ray diffraction studies. For instance, X-band EPR spectra contain well-resolved axial signals, which are consistent with each complex having S = 5/2 ground states. The solid-state molecular structures reveal FeIII-E bond lengths of 2.211(1) and 2.355(1) A for [FeIIIH3buea(S)]2- and [FeIIIH3buea(Se)]2-, respectively. The primary coordination sphere for each complex also contains three deprotonated urea nitrogen atoms from [H3buea]3-; the apical amine nitrogen atom weakly interacts with the iron centers at distances of greater than 2.6 A. The terminal chalcogenido ligands appear to weakly hydrogen-bond with the urea NH groups of the [H3buea]3-; however, open H-bond cavities are observed for [FeIIIH3buea(S)]2- and [FeIIIH3buea(Se)]2-, which may contribute to their observed long-term instability.  相似文献

The electronic structures of nickel and cobalt centers coordinated by two alpha-iminoketone ligands have been elucidated using density functional theory calculations and a host of physical methods such as X-ray crystallography, cyclic voltammetry, UV-vis spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. In principle, alpha-iminoketone ligands can exist in three oxidation levels: the closed-shell neutral form (L)0, the closed-shell dianion (L(red))(2-), and the open-shell monoanion (L*)(-). Herein, the monoanionic pi-radical form (L*)(-) of alpha-iminoketones is characterized in the compounds [(L*)2Ni] (1) and [(L*)2Co] (3), where (L*)(-) is the one-electron-reduced form of the neutral ligand (t-Bu)N=CH-C(Ph)=O. The metal centers in 1 and 3 are divalent, high-spin, and coupled antiferromagnetically to two ligand pi radicals. These bis(ligand)metal complexes can be chemically oxidized by two electrons to give the dications [trans-(L)2Ni(CH3CN)2](PF6)2 (2) and [trans-(L)2Co(CH3CN)2](PF6)2 (4), wherein the ligands are in the neutral form.  相似文献

The coordination ability of the electroactive TTF-based chelating ligand 5,5'-bis(4,5-bis(thiomethyl)-4'-carbamoyltetrathiafulvalene)-2,2'-bipyridine (L) has been tested with Cu(I) and Cu(II) centres. [(L)2Cu(I)](PF6), [(L)2Cu(II)](OTf)2 and [(L)Cu(II)(DMF)3](OTf)2 have been synthesized. A single-crystal X-ray analysis was performed on [(L)Cu(II)(DMF)3](OTf)2, showing a distorted octahedral geometry around the Cu(II) centre, and the formation of dimeric units in the solid state through weak coordination in apical position of an amide oxygen atom from a neighbouring complex. Magnetic data show that the paramagnetic metallic centres are isolated, in agreement with the solid-state structure. Electrochemical measurements were performed on the three complexes and in all cases the Cu(I)/Cu(II) and TTF/TTF+*/TTF2+ redox processes were observed.  相似文献

A series of copper(I) complexes with a sterically hindered, bidentate ligand, BL iPr, derived from an N-heterocyclic carbene precursor have been isolated, characterized and their reactivity studied. The ethylene-bridged bis(imidazolin-2-imine) ligand (BL iPr) provides strongly donating N-donor atoms for the stabilization of a copper(I) metal center, priming it for reactivity. The complexes [(BL iPr)Cu(XyNC)]PF6 (4) and [(BL iPr)CuCl] (5) were characterized by X-ray crystallography and exhibit trigonal coordination at the copper centers. The reactivity of [(BL iPr)Cu]SbF6 toward dioxygen was studied at low temperature, indicating formation of a thermally sensitive intermediate with intense UV/Vis features and an isotope-sensitive vibration at 625 cm(-1) (599 cm(-1) with 18 O2). The intermediate is assigned as containing the bis(mu-oxo)dicopper(III) core, [2](PF6)2, and the related, stable hydroxo form was crystallized as [{(BL iPr)Cu}2(mu-OH)2](PF6)2, [3](PF6)2. The reactivity of 5 as a catalyst for the ATR polymerization of styrene was assessed in terms of reaction kinetics and polymer properties, with low PDI values achieved for polymers with molecular weights up to 30 000 g mol(-1).  相似文献

The synthesis, structural, and spectroscopic characterization of four new coordinatively unsaturated mononuclear thiolate-ligated manganese(II) complexes ([Mn(II)(S(Me2)N(4)(6-Me-DPEN))](BF(4)) (1), [Mn(II)(S(Me2)N(4)(6-Me-DPPN))](BPh(4))·MeCN (3), [Mn(II)(S(Me2)N(4)(2-QuinoPN))](PF(6))·MeCN·Et(2)O (4), and [Mn(II)(S(Me2)N(4)(6-H-DPEN)(MeOH)](BPh(4)) (5)) is described, along with their magnetic, redox, and reactivity properties. These complexes are structurally related to recently reported [Mn(II)(S(Me2)N(4)(2-QuinoEN))](PF(6)) (2) (Coggins, M. K.; Kovacs, J. A. J. Am. Chem. Soc.2011, 133, 12470). Dioxygen addition to complexes 1-5 is shown to result in the formation of five new rare examples of Mn(III) dimers containing a single, unsupported oxo bridge: [Mn(III)(S(Me2)N(4)(6-Me-DPEN)](2)-(μ-O)(BF(4))(2)·2MeOH (6), [Mn(III)(S(Me2)N(4)(QuinoEN)](2)-(μ-O)(PF(6))(2)·Et(2)O (7), [Mn(III)(S(Me2)N(4)(6-Me-DPPN)](2)-(μ-O)(BPh(4))(2) (8), [Mn(III)(S(Me2)N(4)(QuinoPN)](2)-(μ-O)(BPh(4))(2) (9), and [Mn(III)(S(Me2)N(4)(6-H-DPEN)](2)-(μ-O)(PF(6))(2)·2MeCN (10). Labeling studies show that the oxo atom is derived from (18)O(2). Ligand modifications, involving either the insertion of a methylene into the backbone or the placement of an ortho substituent on the N-heterocyclic amine, are shown to noticeably modulate the magnetic and reactivity properties. Fits to solid-state magnetic susceptibility data show that the Mn(III) ions of μ-oxo dimers 6-10 are moderately antiferromagnetically coupled, with coupling constants (2J) that fall within the expected range. Metastable intermediates, which ultimately convert to μ-oxo bridged 6 and 7, are observed in low-temperature reactions between 1 and 2 and dioxygen. Complexes 3-5, on the other hand, do not form observable intermediates, thus illustrating the effect that relatively minor ligand modifications have upon the stability of metastable dioxygen-derived species.  相似文献

The thioethers 4-tert-butyl-2,6-bis((2-(dimethylamino)ethylimino)methyl)phenyl(tert-butyl)sulfane (tBu-L3) and 4-tert-butyl-2,6-bis((2-(dimethylamino)ethylimino)methyl)phenyl(tert-butyl)sulfane (tBu-L4) react with PdCl2(NCMe)2 to give the dinuclear palladium thiophenolate complexes [(L3)Pd2Cl2]+ (2) and [(L4Pd2(mu-Cl)]2+ (3) (HL3= 2,6-bis((2-(dimethylamino)ethylimino)methyl)-4-tert-butylbenzenethiol, HL4 = 2,6-bis((2-(dimethylamino)ethylamino)methyl)-4-tert-butylbenzenethiol). The chloride ligands in could be replaced by neutral (NCMe) and anionic ligands (NCS-, N3-, CN-, OAc-) to give the diamagnetic Pd(II) complexes [(L3)Pd2(NCMe)2]3+ (4), [(L3)Pd2(NCS)2]+ (5), [(L3)Pd2(N3)2]+ (6), [{(L3)Pd2(mu-CN)}2]4+ (7) and [(L3)Pd2(OAc)]2+ (9). The nitrile ligands in and in [(L3)Pd2(NCCH2Cl)2]3+ are readily hydrated to give the corresponding amidato complexes [(L3)Pd2(CH3CONH)]2+ (8) and [(L3)Pd2(CH2ClCONH)]2+ (10). The reaction of [(L3)Pd2(NCMe)2]3+ with NaBPh4 gave the diphenyl complex [(L3)Pd2(Ph)2]+ (11). All complexes were either isolated as perchlorate or tetraphenylborate salts and studied by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. In addition, complexes 2[ClO4], 3[ClO4]2, 5[BPh4], 6[BPh4], 7[ClO4]4, 9[ClO4]2, 10[ClO4]2 and 11[BPh4] have been characterized by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Lithium N-[(N,N-dimethylamino)dimethylsilyl]-2-pyridylamidate (2) was prepared from the reaction of new compound N-[(N,N-dimethylamino)dimethylsilyl]-2-pyridylamine (1) and LiBu(n). Treatment of the lithium salt (2) with an equal equivalent of MgBr(2)(THF)(2), FeCl(2) and CoCl(2) afforded the corresponding dinuclear complexes , , and , in which metal atoms possess similar trigonal bipyramidal geometries and each ligand functions as a bimetallic bridging binding aminopyridinato moiety with N-donation from the dimethylamino group. While the stoichiometric reaction of with ZrCl(4) gave the mononuclear zirconium complex (6); the seven coordinated zirconium atom adopts a distorted pentagonal bipyramid geometry and the ligand acts as monoanionic η(2)-aminopyridinato moiety with the pendant arm coordinated via N(CH(3))(2). The reaction of with one equivalent of TiCl(4)(THF)(2) produced the interesting dinuclear titanium complex (7) owing to the elimination of a (N,N-dimethylamino)dimethylsilyl group from the original ligand, and the two titanium centers present different coordination geometries. The molecular structures of the crystalline metal complexes have been confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. Upon activation with methylaluminoxane (MAO), both complexes and exhibited moderate catalytic activities toward ethylene polymerization and produced high molecular weight polyethylenes with broad molecular weight distributions.  相似文献

The new sterically hindered scorpionate tris(3-phenylpyrazolyl)methanesulfonate (Tpms(Ph))(-) has been synthesized and its coordination behavior toward a Cu(I) center, in the presence of 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane (PTA), N-methyl-1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane tetraphenylborate ((mPTA)[BPh4]) or hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) has been studied. The reaction between Li(Tpms(Ph)) (1) and [Cu(MeCN)4][PF6] yields [Cu(Tpms(Ph))(MeCN)] (2) which, upon further acetonitrile displacement on reaction with PTA, HMT, or (mPTA)[BPh4], gives the corresponding complexes [Cu(Tpms(Ph))(PTA)] (3), [Cu(Tpms(Ph))(HMT)] (4), and [Cu(Tpms(Ph))(mPTA)][PF6] (5). All the compounds have been characterized by (1)H, (31)P, (13)C, COSY or HMQC-NMR, IR, elemental analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. In the complexes (3) and (5), which bear a phosphine ligand (i.e., PTA and mPTA, respectively), the new scorpionate ligand shows the typical N, N, N-coordination mode, whereas in (2) and (4), bearing a N-donor ligand (i.e., MeCN and HMT, respectively), it binds the metal via the N,N,O chelating mode, involving the sulfonate moiety.  相似文献

The new ligand, [(1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecan-1-yl)methyl]phosphonic acid (H(2)te1P, H(2)L), was synthesized and its complexing properties towards selected metal ions were studied potentiometrically. The ligand forms a very stable complex with copper(ii)(logbeta(CuL)= 27.34), with a high selectivity over binding of other metal ions (i.e. logbeta(ZnL)= 21.03). The crystal structures of the free ligand (in its protonated form with bromide as counter-ion) and two copper(ii) complexes (obtained by crystallization at various pH) were determined. The free ligand adopts the common conformation for such macrocycles with the protonated nitrogen atoms in the corners of a virtual rectangle. In the trans-Br,O-[Cu(Br)(Hte1P)].H(2)O species, the central metal ion is surrounded by four in plane nitrogen atoms, one oxygen atom of the pendant moiety in the apical position and a bromide anion positioned trans to the oxygen atom, forming a distorted octahedral coordination sphere. In the compound [Cu(H(2)te1P)][Cu(Hte1P)]Br(3).6H(2)O, obtained from a highly acidic solution, the bromide anions are placed further away from the copper(ii) ion and the coordination environment (N(4)O) is thus square-pyramidal. In both structures, the protons are associated with non-coordinated phosphonate oxygen atoms.  相似文献

Three FeII complexes, [Fe(HLR)2](BPh4)2.solvent (R=H, Me, Ph), were synthesized, where BPh4-=tetraphenylborate and HLR=2-substituted-imidazol-4-yl-methylideneamino-2-ethylpyridine. The magnetic susceptibility measurements in 5-300 K revealed that [Fe(HLH)2](BPh4)2.H2O, [Fe(HLMe)2](BPh4)2.2CH3CN, and [Fe(HLPh)2](BPh4)2.CH3CN are low-spin (LS), spin-crossover (SC), and high-spin (HS) FeII complexes, respectively, indicating that the spin state can be effectively tuned by the bulkiness of the substituent. Complex shows a steep SC around 250 K, where it assumes a cyclic structure of {[Fe(HLMe)2]BPh4}2 constructed by four NH/pi bonds between the imidazole group and the phenyl ring of BPh4- in the HS state and a deformed structure with NH/pi bonds and linear CH3CN...HN hydrogen bonds at the terminals in the LS state.  相似文献

Two new iron complexes, [L(5)(3)Fe(II)Cl]PF(6) (1.PF(6)) and [(L(5)(3)H(+))Fe(III)Cl(3)]PF(6) (2.PF(6)), were synthesized (L(5)(3) = N-methyl-N,N',N'-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)propane-1,3-diamine), and their molecular structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. Their behavior in solution was studied by UV-vis spectroscopy and electrochemistry. Upon addition of a base to an acetonitrile solution of 2, the new unsymmetrical dinuclear complex [L(5)(3)Fe(III)OFe(III)Cl(3)](+) was detected. Treating 1 with hydrogen peroxide has allowed us to detect the low spin [L(5)(3)Fe(III)OOH](2+). Its spectroscopic properties (UV-vis, EPR and resonance Raman) are similar to those reported for related FeOOH complexes obtained with amine/pyridine ligands. Using stopped-flow absorption spectroscopy, the formation and degradation of [L(5)(3)Fe(III)OOH](2+) has been monitored, and a mechanism is proposed to reproduce the kinetic data.  相似文献

Chloro complexes [RuCl(N-N)P3]BPh4 (1-3) [N-N = 2,2'-bipyridine, bpy; 1,10-phenanthroline, phen; 5,5'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine, 5,5'-Me2bpy; P = P(OEt)3, PPh(OEt)2 and PPh2OEt] were prepared by allowing the [RuCl4(N-N)].H2O compounds to react with an excess of phosphite in ethanol. The bis(bipyridine) [RuCl(bpy)2[P(OEt)3]]BPh4 (7) complex was also prepared by reacting RuCl2(bpy)2.2H2O with phosphite and ethanol. Treatment of the chloro complexes 1-3 and 7 with NaBH4 yielded the hydride [RuH(N-N)P3]BPh4 (4-6) and [RuH(bpy)2P]BPh4 (8) derivatives, which were characterized spectroscopically and by the X-ray crystal structure determination of [RuH(bpy)[P(OEt)3]3]BPh4 (4a). Protonation reaction of the new hydrides with Br?nsted acid was studied and led to dicationic [Ru(eta2-H2)(N-N)P3]2+ (9, 10) and [Ru(eta(2-H2)(bpy)2P]2+ (11) dihydrogen derivatives. The presence of the eta2-H2 ligand was indicated by a short T(1 min) value and by the measurements of the J(HD) in the [Ru](eta2-HD) isotopomers. From T(1 min) and J(HD) values the H-H distances of the dihydrogen complexes were also calculated. A series of ruthenium complexes, [RuL(N-N)P3](BPh4)2 and [RuL(bpy)2P](BPh4)2 (P = P(OEt)3; L = H2O, CO, 4-CH3C6H4NC, CH3CN, 4-CH3C6H4CN, PPh(OEt)2], was prepared by substituting the labile eta2-H2 ligand in the 9, 10, 11 derivatives. The reactions of the new hydrides 4-6 and 8 with both mono- and bis(aryldiazonium) cations were studied and led to aryldiazene [Ru(C6H5N=NH)(N-N)P3](BPh4)2 (19, 21), [[Ru(N-N)P3]2(mu-4,4'-NH=NC6H4-C6H4N=NH)](BPh4)4 (20), and [Ru(C6H5N=NH)(bpy)2P](BPh4)2 (22) derivatives. Also the heteroallenes CO2 and CS2 reacted with [RuH(bpy)2P]BPh4, yielding the formato [Ru[eta1-OC(H)=O](bpy)2P]BPh4 and dithioformato [Ru[eta1-SC(H)=S](bpy)2P]BPh4 derivatives.  相似文献
