Let X be a projective scheme over a field k and let A be the local ring at the vertex of the affine cone of X under some embedding . We prove that, when char(k)>0, the Lyubeznik numbers λi,j(A) are intrinsic numerical invariants of X, i.e., λi,j(A) depend only on X, but not on the embedding.  相似文献

Abstract

Taking G to be a Chevalley group of rank at least 3 and U to be the unipotent radical of a Borel subgroup B,an extremal subgroup A is an abelian normal subgroup of U which is not contained in the intersection of all the unipotent radicals of the rank 1 parabolic subgroups of G containing B. If there is an unique rank 1 parabolic subgroup P of G containing B with the property that A is not contained in the unipotent radical of P,then A is called a unique node extremal subgroup. In this paper we investigate the embedding of unique node extremal subgroups in U and prove that, apart from some specified cases, such a subgroup is contained in the unipotent radical of a certain maximal parabolic subgroup.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Consider an adjunction <F,U;n,c>: K. → A, T = <T,n,u> the monad it induces in K and ø: A → KT the comparison functor, KT being the category of T-algebras. By ø*: Proj UProj UT we denote the restriction and co-restriction of ø to the subcategories of U-projective and UT -projective objects, respectively. In this paper we deal with the following problem, raised by R.-E. Hoffmann in [5] 1.16 (b):

Assuming that ø* is an equivalence of categories when is it possible to find a category C and a right adjoint functor V: C → K inducing the same monad T in K, and a full reflective embedding E: A → K, such that:

(1) V.E = U.

(2) ø = ø'. E for the comparison functor ø': C → KT .

(3) F'X is contained (via E) in A, for each K-object X, F' being the left adjoint of V.

(4) ø': C → KT has a full and faithful left adjoint L'.

We prove that there exists a pair (C,V) satisfying the conditions of the problem, with A an isomorphism-closed subcategory of C, such that:

(5) For all C ? Obj C the reflection map rC: C → A is ø'-initial.

We also prove that this pair (C,V) is the universal solution satisfying condition (5), i.e. if (Ci,Vi) is a pair satisfying conditions (1)-(5) with Ei: A → C2 the embedding and Li left adjoint to the comparison functor øi: Ci KT then there exists a unique full and faithful functor Hi: C → Ci such that H. E = Ei and Hi. L'—Li. Moreover the universal solution is uniquely determined up to isomorphisms of categories and natural isomorphisms of functors. Finally, we study a particular situation and find, within the solutions of the problem satisfying two further conditions, the lease and the largest element. We conclude the paper with an example of this situation.  相似文献

A finite set A = {a1 < … <an}? ? is said to be convex if the sequence (ai ? ai?1)ni=2 is strictly increasing. Using an estimate of the additive energy of convex sets, one can estimate the size of the sumset as ∣A + A∣ ? ∣A102/65, which slightly sharpens Shkredov’s latest result ∣A + A∣ ? ∣A58/37.

In this paper we consider not necessarily symmetric co-positive as well as semi-monotoneQ-matrices and give a set of sufficient conditions for such matrices to beR 0-matrices. We give several examples to show the sharpness of our results. Construction of these examples is based on the following elementary proposition: IfA is a square matrix of ordern whose first two rows are identical and bothA 11 andA 22 areQ-matrices whereA ii stands for the principal submatrix ofA obtained by deleting rowi and columni fromA, thenA is aQ-matrix.Dedicated to our colleague and friend B. Abstract

Let A be a basic connected finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field. We show that if Γ is an infinite connected component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver ΓA of A in which each ΓA-orbit contains only finitely many vertices, then the number of indecomposable direct summands of the middle term of any mesh, whose starting vertex belongs to the infinite stable part of Γ, is less than or equal to 3. Moreover, if the nonstable vertices belong to τA-orbits of exceptional projectives in Γ, then Γ can be obtained from a stable tube by a finite number of multiple coray-ray insertions of type α?γ and multiple coray-ray insertions of type α?γ.

Summary We define a ?classe localmente filtrale? as follows: LetK be a class of similar algebras;K is a ?classe localmente filtrale? if for andn ∈ ω and for anyA 0,...,A n−1 ink and for any family of finite subsetsV i ofA i(i∈n), the class {B 0,...,B n−1 of algebras generated byV o, ...,V n−1 consists of finite algebras and is ?filtrale?. We show that ifK is ?localmente filtrale? thenV L (K)=IR L DS(K) and we give a characterization theorem for these classes.

Abstract  For a Gorenstein curve X and a nonsingular point PX, we construct Abel maps and , where JXi is the moduli scheme for simple, torsion-free, rank-1 sheaves on X of degree i. The image curves of A and AP are shown to have the same arithmetic genus of X. Also, A and AP are shown to be embeddings away from rational subcurves LX meeting in separating nodes. Finally we establish a connection with Seshadri’s moduli scheme UX(1) for semistable, torsion-free, rank-1 sheaves on X, obtaining an embedding of A(X) into UX(1). We prove for abelian varieties a global form of Denef and Loeser?s motivic monodromy conjecture, in arbitrary characteristic. More precisely, we prove that for every tamely ramified abelian variety A over a complete discretely valued field with algebraically closed residue field, its motivic zeta function has a unique pole at Chai?s base change conductor c(A) of A, and that the order of this pole equals one plus the potential toric rank of A. Moreover, we show that for every embedding of Q? in C, the value exp(2πic(A)) is an ?-adic tame monodromy eigenvalue of A. The main tool in the paper is Edixhoven?s filtration on the special fiber of the Néron model of A, which measures the behavior of the Néron model under tame base change.  相似文献

Jeek and Kepka [4] proved that a universal algebra A with at least one at least binary operation is isomorphic to the factor of a subdirectly irreducible algebra B by its monolith if and only if the intersection of all of its (nonempty) ideals is nonempty, and that B may be chosen to be finite if A is finite. (By an ideal of A is meant a non-empty subset I of A such that f(a1, . . . , an) I whenever f is an n-ary fundamental operation of A and a1, . . . , an A are elements with ai I for at least one index i.) In the present paper, we prove that if A is a semigroup, then B may be chosen also to be a semigroup, but that a finite semigroup need not be isomorphic to the factor of a finite subdirectly irreducible semigroup by its monolith.  相似文献

Abstract

Let D be a Prüfer domain, and denote by ± b?(D) the multiplicative group of all invertible fractional ideals of D, ordered by A ≤ B if and only if A ? B. Denote by G i the value group of the valuation associated with the valuation ring D M i , where {M i } iI is the collection of all maximal ideals of D. In this note we prove that the natural map from ± b?(D) into ± b iI G i is an isomorphism onto the cardinal sum ± b? iI G i if and only if D is h-local. As a corollary, the group of divisibility of an h-local Bézout domain is isomorphic to ± b? iI G i , the notation being as above.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we introduce a concept of A-sequences of Halpern type where A is an averaging infinite matrix. If A is the identity matrix, this notion become the well-know sequence generated by Halpern's iteration. A necessary and sufficient condition for the strong convergence of A-sequences of Halpern type is given whenever the matrix A satisfies some certain concentrating conditions. This class of matrices includes two interesting classes of matrices considered by Combettes and Pennanen [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 2002;275:521–536]. We deduce all the convergence theorems studied by Cianciaruso et al. [Optimization. 2016;65:1259–1275] and Muglia et al. [J. Nonlinear Convex Anal. 2016;17:2071–2082] from our result. Moreover, these results are established under the weaker assumptions. We also show that the same conclusion remains true under a new condition.  相似文献

Abstract

We prove that a tame weakly shod algebra A which is not quasi-tilted is simply connected if and only if the orbit graph of its pip-bounded component is a tree, or if and only if its first Hochschild cohomology group H1(A) with coefficients in A A A vanishes. We also show that it is strongly simply connected if and only if the orbit graph of each of its directed components is a tree, or if and only if H1(A) = 0 and it contains no full convex subcategory which is hereditary of type 𝔸?, or if and only if it is separated and contains no full convex subcategory which is hereditary of type 𝔸?.  相似文献

In this article, we study injective modules over a ring of Krull type A. Our main result is E(K/A)? ?ω∈Ω t E(K/?ω), where Ω t is a thin defining family of valuations of A. We also characterize the rings of Krull type A such that TE(K/A) is a cogenerator of the quotient category Mod(A)/?0, where ?0 is the thick subcategory of the modules with trivial maps into the codivisorial modules.  相似文献

We give sufficient conditions for a differential equation to have a given semisimple group as its Galois group. For any group G with G 0 = G 1 · ··· · G r , where each G i is a simple group of type A?, C?, D?, E6, or E7, we construct a differential equation over C(x) having Galois group G.  相似文献

An anisotropic Sobolev and Nikol'skii-Besov space on a domain G is determined by its integro-differential (shortly, ID) parameters. On the other hand, the geometry of G is characterized by the set Λ(G) of all vectors λ=(λ1,..., λn) such that G satisfies the λ-horn condition. We study the dependence of the totality of possible embeddings upon the set Λ(G) and theID-parameters of the space. We consider only embeddings with q≥pi, where pi are the integral parameters of the space and q is the integral embedding parameter. For a given space, we introduce its initial matrix A0 determined by theID-parameters. A0 turns out to be a Z-matrix. On the basis of a natural classification of Z-matrices, a classification of anisotropic spaces is introduced. This classification allows one to restate the existence of an embedding with q≥pi in terms of certain specific properties of A0. Let A0 be a nondegenerate M-matrix. Any vector λ∈Λ(G) gives rise to a certain set of admissible values of the embedding parameters. We call λ optimal if this set is the largest possible. It turns out that the optimal vector λ G * is determined by Λ(G) and A0, and may be found by a linear optimization procedure. The following cases are possible: a) , b) , c) λ G * does not exist. In case a) the set of admissible values of the embedding parameters is the biggest, while in case c) no embeddings with q≥pi exist. In case b) the so-called saturation phenomenon occurs, i.e., certain variations of some differential parameters of the space do not change the set of admissible values of the embedding parameters. The latter fact has some applications to the problem of extension of all functions belonging to the given space from G to En. Bibliography: 20 titles.
