A geometric model for twisted K‐homology is introduced. It is modeled after the Mathai–Melrose–Singer fractional analytic index theorem in the same way as the Baum–Douglas model of K‐homology was modeled after the Atiyah–Singer index theorem. A natural transformation from twisted geometric K‐homology to the new geometric model is constructed. The analytic assembly mapping to analytic twisted K‐homology in this model is an isomorphism for torsion twists on a finite ‐complex. For a general twist on a smooth manifold the analytic assembly mapping is a surjection. Beyond the aforementioned fractional invariants, we study T‐duality for geometric cycles.  相似文献

The notion of descent algebra of a bialgebra is lifted to the Barratt-Joyal setting of twisted bialgebras. The new twisted descent algebras share many properties with their classical counterparts. For example, there are twisted analogs of classical Lie idempotents and of the peak algebra. Moreover, the universal twisted descent algebra is equipped with two products and a coproduct, and there is a fundamental rule linking all three. This algebra is shown to be naturally related to the geometry of the Coxeter complex of type A.  相似文献

Classically, the exponent of a group is the least common multiple of the orders of its elements. This notion was generalized by Etingof and Gelaki to Hopf algebras. Kashina, Sommerhäuser, and Zhu later observed that there is a strong connection between exponents and Frobenius–Schur indicators. In this article, we introduce the notion of twisted exponents and show there is a similar relationship between the twisted exponent and the twisted Frobenius–Schur indicators defined in previous work of the authors. In particular, we exhibit a new formula for the twisted indicators and use it to prove periodicity and rationality statements.  相似文献

New methods for computing eigenvectors of symmetric block tridiagonal matrices based on twisted block factorizations are explored. The relation of the block where two twisted factorizations meet to an eigenvector of the block tridiagonal matrix is reviewed. Based on this, several new algorithmic strategies for computing the eigenvector efficiently are motivated and designed. The underlying idea is to determine a good starting vector for an inverse iteration process from the twisted block factorizations such that a good eigenvector approximation can be computed with a single step of inverse iteration.  相似文献

In this article, we first introduce the notion of a bitwistor and discuss conditions under which such bitwistor forms a bialgebra as a generalization of the well-known Radford's biproduct. Then, in order to obtain new quasitriangular bialgebras, we consider a construction called twisted tensor biproduct, which is a special case of bitwistor bialgebra, and give a necessary and sufficient condition for such twisted tensor biproduct to admit quasitriangular structures.  相似文献

By using p-adic q-deformed fermionic integral on ℤ p , we construct new generating functions of the twisted (h, q)-Euler numbers and polynomials attached to a Dirichlet character χ. By applying Mellin transformation and derivative operator to these functions, we define twisted (h, q)-extension of zeta functions and l-functions, which interpolate the twisted (h, q)-extension of Euler numbers at negative integers. Moreover, we construct the partially twisted (h, q)-zeta function. We give some relations between the partially twisted (h, q)-zeta function and twisted (h, q)-extension of Euler numbers.   相似文献

Using the relation between subspaces of Banach spaces and quotients of their duals, we introduce the concept of colocality to give a new method that guarantees the existence of nontrivial twisted sums in which finite quotients play a major role (Theorem 1.7). An interesting point is that no restrictions are imposed on the quotients, only on the various subspaces. New examples of nontrivial twisted sums are given.  相似文献

As an analog of the quantum TKK algebra, a twisted quantum toroidal algebra of type A 1 is introduced. Explicit realization of the new quantum TKK algebra is constructed with the help of twisted quantum vertex operators over a Fock space.  相似文献

It is shown that a mixed Ricci-flat twisted product semi-Riemannian manifold can be expressed as a warped product semi-Riemannian manifold. As a consequence, any Einstein twisted product semi-Riemannian manifold is in fact, a warped product semi-Riemannian manifold. Received: 8 March 2001 / Revised version: 25 July 2001  相似文献

The so-called “invariance under twisting” for twisted tensor products of algebras is a result stating that, if we start with a twisted tensor product, under certain circumstances we can “deform” the twisting map and we obtain a new twisted tensor product, isomorphic to the given one. It was proved before that a number of independent and previously unrelated results from Hopf algebra theory are particular cases of this theorem. In this article we show that some more results from literature are particular cases of invariance under twisting, for instance a result of Beattie-Chen-Zhang that implies the Blattner-Montgomery duality theorem.  相似文献

We construct the new algebra A#H of an H-bimodule algebra A called the L-R twisted smash product, and give the duality theorem for L-R twisted smash products which extends the duality theorem for smash products given by Blattner and Montgomery. Furthermore, by using the duality theorem for L-R twisted smash products, we establish the relationship of global dimension between the H-bimodule algebra A and its L-R twisted smash product A#H.  相似文献

We introduce a new quantum group which is a quantization of the enveloping superalgebra of a twisted affine Lie superalgebra of type Q. We study generators and relations for superalgebras in the finite and twisted affine cases, and also universal central extensions. Afterwards, we apply the FRT formalism to a certain solution of the quantum Yang–Baxter equation to define that new quantum group and we study some of its properties. We construct a functor of Schur–Weyl type which connects it to affine Hecke–Clifford algebras and prove that it provides an equivalence between two categories of modules.  相似文献

In order to use the trace formula of Arthur–Selberg in the twisted case, we need to prove the “twisted weighted fundamental lemma”, that is a sophisticated version of the fundamental lemma. Here, we prove that this twisted weighted fundamental lemma follows from two others lemmas, where the torsion has disappeared: the weighted fundamental lemma for Lie algebras and a “non-standard weighted fundamental lemma”, concerning Lie algebras too.  相似文献

This work focuses on sampling from hidden Markov models (Cappe et al. 2005) whose observations have intractable density functions. We develop a new sequential Monte Carlo (e.g. Doucet, 2011) algorithm and a new particle marginal Metropolis-Hastings (Andrieu et al J R Statist Soc Ser B 72:269-342, 2010) algorithm for these purposes. We build from Jasra et al (2013) and Whiteley and Lee (Ann Statist 42:115-141, 2014) to construct the sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) algorithm, which we call the alive twisted particle filter. Like the alive particle filter (Amrein and Künsch, 2011, Jasra et al, 2013), our new SMC algorithm adopts an approximate Bayesian computation (Tavare et al. Genetics 145:505-518, 1997) estimate of the HMM. Our alive twisted particle filter also uses a twisted proposal as in Whiteley and Lee (Ann Statist 42:115-141, 2014) to obtain a low-variance estimate of the HMM normalising constant. We demonstrate via numerical examples that, in some scenarios, this estimate has a much lower variance than that of the estimate obtained via the alive particle filter. The low variance of this normalising constant estimate encourages the implementation of our SMC algorithm within a particle marginal Metropolis-Hastings (PMMH) scheme, and we call the resulting methodology “alive twisted PMMH”. We numerically demonstrate, on a stochastic volatility model, how our alive twisted PMMH can converge faster than the standard alive PMMH of Jasra et al (2013).  相似文献

In this paper, we develop twisted K-theory for stacks, where the twisted class is given by an S1-gerbe over the stack. General properties, including the Mayer-Vietoris property, Bott periodicity, and the product structure are derived. Our approach provides a uniform framework for studying various twisted K-theories including the usual twisted K-theory of topological spaces, twisted equivariant K-theory, and the twisted K-theory of orbifolds. We also present a Fredholm picture, and discuss the conditions under which twisted K-groups can be expressed by so-called “twisted vector bundles”.Our approach is to work on presentations of stacks, namely groupoids, and relies heavily on the machinery of K-theory (KK-theory) of C-algebras.  相似文献

We will prove a result concerning the inclusion of non-trivial invariant ideals inside non-trivial ideals of a twisted crossed product. We will also give results concerning the primeness and simplicity of crossed products of twisted actions of locally compact groups on -algebras. We consider the nonrelativistic contraction of a canonically deformed N = 1{\mathcal{N}} = 1 super-Poincaré Hopf algebra. In such a way we get the new quantum supergroup – a canonically twisted super-Galilei Hopf algebra equipped with the Clifford-like spinorial sector of the corresponding super-space. Besides, we also propose the new Lie-algebraic twist deformation of a super-Galilei algebra leading to classical time and quantum space as well as to the Clifford-like fermionic part of the twisted N = 1{\mathcal{N}} = 1 superspace.  相似文献
