Far-i.r. absorption intensities have been measured for H2O and D2O in C6H6 solutions. Beer's law plots were found to be nonlinear. From the plots, the equilibrium constants of dimer formation in benzene were estimated to be 2.4M-1 and 3.3M-1 for H2O and D2O at 20°C, respectively. Based on Onsager's reaction field and including explicitly the effect of differences in molecular size between solute and solvent molecules, the internal moment of a water molecule and the volume ratio of a molecule to a cavity were estimated from the integrated absorption intensity of a D2O monomer in C6H6 as 1.98 D and 0.7, respectively 相似文献

Synthesis, crystal structure, and dielectric properties of [C6H4(NH3)2]2ClBiCl6.H2O are reported. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system with space group P21/n. The unit cell dimensions are a = 9.836(5), b = 19.582(5), c = 13.082(5) ?, β = 104.731(5)° with Z = 4. The atomic arrangement can be described by an alternation of organic and inorganic layers. The anionic layer is built
up of octahedral of [BiCl6]3- arranged in sandwich between the organic layers. The crystal packing is governed by means of the ionic N–H···Cl hydrogen
bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. The dielectric properties have been investigated at temperature range from 297
to 410 K at various frequencies (10 Hz–100 kHz). Dielectric studies were performed to confirm results obtained with thermal

The interaction of O2, CO2, CO, C2H4 AND C2H4O with Ag(110) has been studied by low energy electron diffraction (LEED), temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). For adsorbed oxygen the EELS and TPD signals are measured as a function of coverage (θ). Up to θ = 0.25 the EELS signal is proportional to coverage; above 0.25 evidence is found for dipole-dipole interaction as the EELS signal is no longer proportional to coverage. The TPD signal is not directly proportional to the oxygen coverage, which is explained by diffusion of part of the adsorbed oxygen into the bulk. Oxygen has been adsorbed both at pressures of less than 10-4 Pa in an ultrahigh vacuum chamber and at pressures up to 103 Pa in a preparation chamber. After desorption at 103 Pa a new type of weakly bound subsurface oxygen is identified, which can be transferred to the surface by heating the crystal to 470 K. CO2 is not adsorbed as such on clean silver at 300 K. However, it is adsorbed in the form of a carbonate ion if the surface is first exposed to oxygen. If the crystal is heated this complex decomposes into Oad and CO2 with an activation energy of 27 kcal/mol(1 kcal = 4.187 kJ). Up to an oxygen coverage of 0.25 one CO2 molecule is adsorbed per two oxygen atoms on the surface. At higher oxygen coverages the amount of CO2 adsorbed becomes smaller. CO readily reacts with Oad at room temperature to form CO2. This reaction has been used to measure the number of O atoms present on the surface at 300 K relative to the amount of CO2 that is adsorbed at 300 K by the formation of a carbonate ion. Weakly bound subsurface oxygen does not react with CO at 300 K. Adsorption of C2H4O at 110 K is promoted by the presence of atomic oxygen. The activation energy for desorption of C2H4O from clean silver is ~ 9 kcal/mol, whereas on the oxygen-precovered surface two states are found with activation energies of 8.5 and 12.5 kcal/mol. The results are discussed in terms of the mechanism of ethylene epoxidation over unpromoted and unmoderated silver. 相似文献

Electron spin resonance spectra of Cu2+ doped in single crystals of strontium tartrate trihydrate grown by a diffusion technique have been investigated at 77K. Copper enters the lattice substitutionally and is trapped at two magnetically inequivalent sites. ESR measurements gave the following values for the spin-Hamiltonian parameters. Cu2+(I): ggg = 2.0380, gyy = 2.1317, gzz = 2.3918 and Axx = 26.3 G, Ayy = 56.3 G, Azz = 110.8 G. Cu2+(II): gxx = 2.0497, gyy = 2.1297, gzz = 2.3706 and Axx = 19.2 G, Ayy = 61.4 G, Azz = 107.2 G. 相似文献

Infrared and Raman spectra of polycrystalline H3OUO2PO4·3 H2O (HUP) and its D and P18O4 derivatives, in the form of dense transparent disks and wet powder, have been investigated at various temperatures in the 100–300 K region. The bands due to framework vibrations are similar to those of KUP, whereas those for the protonic species are different. OH stretching and bending bands of the oxonium ion have been identified at 2920, 1740 and 1160 cm?1 in the low-temperature spectrum of HUP. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and infrared (IR) intensity investigations show a phase transition between 274 and 260 K. The mechanism of the phase transition consists, as in the case of KUP, of ordering of the protonic species, which induces ordering of PO4 tetrahedra. The ordering can be influenced by excess water content, stacking faults and stress (ferroelastic behaviour is evidenced). The conductivity mechanism in HUP is discussed. 相似文献

Optical absorption spectra of Ni2+ in (NH4)2Mg(SO4)2·6H2O and Co2+ in Na2Zn(SO4)2·4H2O single crystals have been studied at room and liquid nitrogen temperatures. From the nature and position of the observed bands, a successful interpretation could be made assuming octahedral symmetry for both the ions in the crystals. The splitting observed for band in Ni2+ and band in Co2+ at liquid nitrogen temperature have been explained as due to spin-orbit interaction. The extra band observed at 16,325 cm-1 in the case of Ni2+ at low temperature has been interpreted to be the superposition of vibrational mode of SO2-4 radical on band. The observed band positions in both the crystals have been fitted with four parameters B, C, Dq and ζ. 相似文献

Thermal decomposition products of the Mohr salt (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2·6H2O have been studied and identified using the Mössbauer effect, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and the gravimetric and thermal differential methods. It has been found that the Mohr salt heated for 96 hr. in air at 520K changes to a single substance identified as NH4Fe(SO4)2 with a single Mössbauer line (width 0.30 mm/sec; isomeric shift 0.30 mm/sec). When the Mohr salt is heated for 1 hr. in air at 770 K it changes to Fe2(SO4)3 with a single Mössbauer line (width 0.33 mm/sec; isomeric shift 0.31 mm/sec) strikingly similar to line of NH4Fe(SO4)2. 相似文献

A specific heat investigation of nickel perchlorate hexahydrate was performed between 2 and 17 K. Lattice vibration and magnetic contributions were separated. The lattice term obeys a Debye αT3 law, with mol. The magnetic contribution comes from the splitting of the ground state triplet of the Ni2+ ions, by axial and rhombic crystal field distortions, which can be explained by a Schottky specific heat with D = 1.72 KandE = 0.06 K. 相似文献

Using Thermal Programmed Desorption (TPD), Low Energy Electron Diffraction (LEED) and Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES) we have studied the adsorption of hydrogen-containing molecules (H2, C2H2, C2H4, C2H6) and oxygen-containing molecules (CO and NO) on two vicinal planes of the Re(0001) surface. The two surfaces are designated thus: ReS ¦14(0001)(101̄1)¦, ReS |6(0001)(167̄1) | . The structural defects have little effect on the adsorption of hydrogen and the hydrocarbons. They are more influential in the case of the oxygen-containing molecules. This is particularly true for CO; on the kink sites the CO molecules can completely dissociate whereas only a partial dissociation is possible on the steps. These results should be viewed in relation to the strong bond energy between carbon and oxygen in a CO molecule of 256 kcal/mole and the great affinity of oxygen for rhenium; ERe?O = 127 kcal/mole. 相似文献

A novel layered hydrotalcite-like material, Co7(H2O)2(OH)12(C2H4S2O6), has been prepared hydrothermally and the structure determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction (a=6.2752(19) Å, b=8.361(3) Å, c=9.642(3) Å, α=96.613(5)°, β=98.230(5)°, γ=100.673(5)°, R1=0.0551). The structure consists of brucite-like sheets where 1/6 of the octahedral sites are replaced by two tetrahedrally coordinated Co(II) above and below the plane of the layer. Ethanedisulfonate anions occupy the space between layers and provide charge balance for the positively charged layers. The compound is ferrimagnetic, with a Curie temperature of 33 K, Curie-Weiss θ of −31 K, and a coercive field of 881 Oe at 5 K. 相似文献

The low temperature spontaneous magnetization of the spin 1/2 b.c.c. ferromagnet has been computed using the self-consistently renormalized spin-wave theory of Bloch, taking into account weakly anisotropic exchange. A good agreement with our experimental data in Cu(NH4)2Br4, 2H2O and CuRb2Br4, 2H2O is observed for 0 < T/Tc < 0.5, using the following anisotropy fields at 0°K: (293 ± 25) oe in Cu(NH4)2Br4, 2H2O and (300 ± 25)oe in CuRb2Br4, 2H2O. 相似文献

Electron energy-loss spectroscopy has been applied to the study of Si(111) surfaces covered with H2S, H2O and O2 at room temperature and the surfaces annealed at ~ 600°C. The experimental results strongly suggest that H2S and H2O adsorb in the molecular states at room temperature. It is proposed that O2 is first adsorbed in a molecular state, then adsorbs as atoms, and finally oxidizes forming SiO2. 相似文献

The electron-stimulated desorption (ESD) of D− and H− ions from condensed D2O and H2O films is investigated. Three low-energy peaks are observed in the ESD anion yield, which are identified as arising from excitation of 2B1, 2A1 and 2B2 dissociative electron attachment (DEA) resonances. Additional structure is observed between 18 and 32 eV, which may be due to ion pair formation or to DEA resonances involving the 2a1 orbital. The ion yield resulting from excitation of the 2B1 resonance increases as the film is heated. We attribute the increase in the ion yield to thermally induced hydrogen bond breaking near the surface, which enhances the lifetimes of the excited states that lead to desorption. 相似文献

Results of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) and optical absorption studies of VO2+ ion doped in struvite at room liquid nitrogen temperatures are reported. Three preferential V=O bond directions in the crystal have been identified. The optical and EPR data have shown the formation of NH4(PO4VO(H2O)5 complex in the crystal as a result of VO2+ doping. Correlating the optical and EPR data the molecular orbital coefficients are also obtained and discussed. 相似文献

The satellite NMR spectrum of 23Na in ammonium Rochelle salt (NaNH4C4H4O6 ? 4H2O) is investigated near the transition temperature. From an ESR study of Mn2+ doped single crystals of Cd(BF4)2, 6H2O, two first order structural phase transitions at 324 ± 2 K (monoclinic to trigonal) and at 177 ± 2 K (trigonal to monoclinic or triclinic) are detected and studied for the first time. 相似文献
