In this paper, we study the blow-up profiles of the nonlocal dispersal equation. More precisely, we prove that the positive solution of nonlocal dispersal equation has different blow-up profiles, depending on the refuge domain.

This paper concerns with a nonlinear degenerate parabolic system coupled via nonlocal sources, subjecting to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. Blow-up and lifespan of solutions to a nonlocal parabolic equation at arbitrary initial energy level

We consider a nonlocal parabolic equation. By exploiting the boundary condition and the variational structure of the equation, we prove finite time blow-up of the solution for initial data at arbitrary energy level. We also obtain the lifespan of the blow-up solution. The results generalize the former studies on this equation.     

Global existence and blow-up of solutions of nonlocal diffusion problems with free boundaries

In this paper, we investigate some nonlocal diffusion problems with free boundaries. We first give the existence and uniqueness of local solution by the ODE basic theory and the contraction mapping principle. Then we provide a complete classification for the global existence and finite time blow-up of solutions. Moreover, estimates of blow-up rate and blow-up time are also obtained for the blow-up solution.

Moreover, we establish blow-up rate estimates under some appropriate hypotheses.

The conditions on the existence and nonexistence of global positive solutions are given. Moreover, we give the precise blow-up rate estimate and the uniform blow-up estimate for the blow-up solution.

In this article, we investigate the blow-up properties of the positive solutions to a degenerate parabolic system with nonlocal boundary condition. We give the criteria for finite time blow-up or global existence, which shows the important influence of nonlocal boundary. And then we establish the precise blow-up rate estimate for small weighted nonlocal boundary.     

Global existence, singularities and ill-posedness for a nonlocal flux

In this paper we study a one-dimensional model equation with a nonlocal flux given by the Hilbert transform that is related with the complex inviscid Burgers equation. This equation arises in different contexts to characterize nonlocal and nonlinear behaviors. We show global existence, local existence, blow-up in finite time and ill-posedness depending on the sign of the initial data for classical solutions.

Variational theory and domain decomposition for nonlocal problems

In this article we present the first results on domain decomposition methods for nonlocal operators. We present a nonlocal variational formulation for these operators and establish the well-posedness of associated boundary value problems, proving a nonlocal Poincaré inequality. To determine the conditioning of the discretized operator, we prove a spectral equivalence which leads to a mesh size independent upper bound for the condition number of the stiffness matrix. We then introduce a nonlocal two-domain variational formulation utilizing nonlocal transmission conditions, and prove equivalence with the single-domain formulation. A nonlocal Schur complement is introduced. We establish condition number bounds for the nonlocal stiffness and Schur complement matrices. Supporting numerical experiments demonstrating the conditioning of the nonlocal one- and two-domain problems are presented.

A degenerate parabolic system with localized sources and nonlocal boundary condition

This paper deals with the blow-up properties of the positive solutions to a degenerate parabolic system with localized sources and nonlocal boundary conditions. We investigate the influence of the reaction terms, the weight functions, local terms and localized source on the blow-up properties. We will show that the weight functions play the substantial roles in determining whether the solutions will blow-up or not, and obtain the blow-up conditions and its blow-up rate estimate.

Evolutions of the momentum density,deformation tensor and the nonlocal term of the Camassa–Holm equation

Methods originally developed to study the finite time blow-up problem of the regular solutions of the three dimensional incompressible Euler equations are used to investigate the regular solutions of the Camassa–Holm equation. We obtain results on the relative behaviors of the momentum density, the deformation tensor and the nonlocal term along the trajectories. In terms of these behaviors, we get new types of asymptotic properties of global solutions, blow-up criterion and blow-up time estimate for local solutions. More precisely, certain ratios of the quantities are shown to be vaguely monotonic along the trajectories of global solutions. Finite time blow-up of the accumulated momentum density is necessary and sufficient for the finite time blow-up of the solution. An upper estimate of the blow-up time and a blow-up criterion are given in terms of the initial short time trajectorial behaviors of the deformation tensor and the nonlocal term.

Uniform blow-up rate for parabolic equations with a weighted nonlocal nonlinear source

In this paper, the blow-up rate of solutions of semi-linear reaction-diffusion equations with a more complicated source term, which is a product of nonlocal (or localized) source and weight function a(x), is investigated. It is proved that the solutions have global blow-up, and that the rates of blow-up are uniform in all compact subsets of the domain. Furthermore, the blow-up rate of _∞|u(t)| is precisely determined.
