In this paper, a chemostat model with variable yield and impulsive state feedback control is considered. We obtain sufficient conditions of the globally asymptotical stability of the system without impulsive state feedback control. We also obtain that the system with impulsive state feedback control has periodic solution of order one. Sufficient conditions for existence and stability of periodic solution of order one are given. In some cases, it is possible that the system exists periodic solution of order two. Our results show that the control measure is effective and reliable.  相似文献

In this paper, applying both Lyapunov function techniques and monotone iterative techniques, we establish new sufficient conditions under which the infected equilibrium of an HIV pathogenesis model with cure rate is globally asymptotically stable. By giving an explicit expression for eventual lower bound of the concentration of susceptible CD4+ T cells, we establish an affirmative partial answer to the numerical simulations investigated in the recent paper [Liu, Wang, Hu and Ma, Global stability of an HIV pathogenesis model with cure rate, Nonlinear Analysis RWA (2011) 12 : 2947–2961]. Our monotone iterative techniques are applicable for the small and large growth rate in logistic functions for the proliferation rate of healthy and infected CD4+ T cells. Recent studies reveal that cell-to-cell transmission via formation of virological synapses can contribute significantly to virus spread, and hence, may play a more important role than virus-to-cell infection in some situations. Age-structured models can be employed to study the variations w.r.t. infection age in modeling the death rate and virus production rate of infected cells. Considering the above characteristics for within-host dynamics of HIV, in this paper, we formulate an age-structured hybrid model to explore the effects of the two infection modes in viral production and spread. We offer a rigorous analysis for the model, including addressing the relative compactness and persistence of the solution semiflow, and existence of a global attractor. By subtle construction and estimates of Lyapunov functions, we show that the global attractor actually consists of an singleton, being either the infection free steady state if the basic reproduction number is less than one, or the infection steady state if the basic reproduction number is larger than one.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the classical mathematical model with saturation response of the infection rate and time delay.
