We study the doubling property of binomial measures on the middle interval Cantor set. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition that enables a binomial measure to be doubling. Then we determine those doubling binomial measures which can be extended to be doubling on [0,1]. Finally, we construct a compact set X in [0,1] and a doubling measure μ on X, such that [`(F)]X=X\overline{F}_{X}=X and m|EX{\mu|}_{E_{X}} is doubling on E X , where E X is the set of accumulation points of X and F X is the set of isolated points of X.  相似文献

We show that the set of Liouville numbers carries a positive measure whose Fourier transform vanishes at infinity. The proof is based on a new construction of a Cantor set of Hausdorff dimension zero supporting such a measure.

Volberg and Konyagin have proved that a compact metric space carries a nontrivial doubling measure if and only if it has finite uniform metric dimension. Their construction of doubling measures requires infinitely many adjustments. We give a simpler and more direct construction, and also prove that for any , the doubling measure may be chosen to have full measure on a set of Hausdorff dimension at most .

In this paper, we investigate what are Carleson measures on open subsets in the complex plane. A circular domain is a connected open subset whose boundary consists of finitely many disjoint circles. We call a domain G multi-nicely connected if there exists a circular domain W and a conformal map ψ from W onto G such that ψ is almost univalent with respect the arclength on δW. We characterize all Carleson measures for those open subsets so that each of their components is multinicely connected and harmonic measures of the components are mutually singular. Our results suggest the extension of Carleson measures probably is up to this class of open subsets  相似文献

In this paper, we will discuss the constructiOn problems about the invariant sets and invariant measures of continues maps~ which map complexes into themselves, using simplical approximation and Markov cbeirs. In [7], the author defined a matrix by using r-normal subdivi of the w,dimensional unit cube, considered it a Markov matrix, and constructed the invariantset and invafiant measure, In fact, the matrix he defined is not Markov matrix generally. So wewill give [7] and amendment in the last pert of this paper. We also construct an invariant set thatis the chain-recurrent set of the map by means of a non-negative matrix which only depends on themap. The measure of scrambled sets of interval self-maps was studied by many authors, including Smítal, Misiurewicz, Bruckner and Hu, and Xiong and Yang. In this note, first we introduce the notion of ``-chaos" which is related to chaos in the sense of Li-Yorke, and we prove a general theorem which is an improvement of a theorem of Kuratowski on independent sets. Second, we apply the result to scrambled sets of higher dimensional cases. In particular, we show that if a map of the unit -cube is -chaotic on , then for any there is a map such that and are topologically conjugate, and has a scrambled set which has Lebesgue measure 1, and hence if , then there is a homeomorphism with a scrambled set satisfying that is an -set in and has Lebesgue measure 1.

Kernel methods and rough sets are two general pursuits in the domain of machine learning and intelligent systems. Kernel methods map data into a higher dimensional feature space, where the resulting structure of the classification task is linearly separable; while rough sets granulate the universe with the use of relations and employ the induced knowledge granules to approximate arbitrary concepts existing in the problem at hand. Although it seems there is no connection between these two methodologies, both kernel methods and rough sets explicitly or implicitly dwell on relation matrices to represent the structure of sample information. Based on this observation, we combine these methodologies by incorporating Gaussian kernel with fuzzy rough sets and propose a Gaussian kernel approximation based fuzzy rough set model. Fuzzy T-equivalence relations constitute the fundamentals of most fuzzy rough set models. It is proven that fuzzy relations with Gaussian kernel are reflexive, symmetric and transitive. Gaussian kernels are introduced to acquire fuzzy relations between samples described by fuzzy or numeric attributes in order to carry out fuzzy rough data analysis. Moreover, we discuss information entropy to evaluate the kernel matrix and calculate the uncertainty of the approximation. Several functions are constructed for evaluating the significance of features based on kernel approximation and fuzzy entropy. Algorithms for feature ranking and reduction based on the proposed functions are designed. Results of experimental analysis are included to quantify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

We present a geometric characterization of acceptance sets for monotone, co-monotone and convex risk measures on finite state spaces. Geometrically, such acceptance sets can be represented by convex polygons with edges only on certain hyperplanes. We also provide some lower dimensional examples, and study acceptance sets for value at risk and expected shortfall.  相似文献
