Interpolating sequences for bounded analytic functions

We prove that any sequence in the open ball of a complex Banach space even in that of whose norms are an interpolating sequence for is interpolating for the space of all bounded analytic functions on The construction made yields that the interpolating functions depend linearly on the interpolated values.

     

Hankel-type operators on the space of bounded harmonic functions

We study Hankel-type operators on the space of bounded harmonic functions on the open unit disk. These operators are related to tight uniform algebras, the Dunford-Pettis property, and Bourgain algebras.

     

Fredholm composition operators on algebras of analytic functions on Banach spaces

We prove that Fredholm composition operators acting on the uniform algebra H^∞(BE) of bounded analytic functions on the open unit ball of a complex Banach space E with the approximation property are invertible and arise from analytic automorphisms of the ball.

Boundaries for algebras of analytic functions on function module Banach spaces

We consider the uniform algebra of continuous and bounded functions that are analytic on the interior of the closed unit ball of a complex Banach function module X. We focus on norming subsets of , i.e., boundaries, for such algebra. In particular, if X is a dual complex Banach space whose centralizer is infinite‐dimensional, then the intersection of all closed boundaries is empty. This also holds in case that X is an ‐sum of infinitely many Banach spaces and further, the torus is a boundary.     

Classes of analytic functions associated with the Choi-Saigo-Srivastava operator

We investigate several properties of the linear Choi-Saigo-Srivastava operator and associated classes of analytic functions which were introduced and studied by J.H. Choi, M. Saigo and H.M. Srivastava [J.H. Choi, M. Saigo, H.M. Srivastava, Some inclusion properties of a certain family of integral operators, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 276 (2002) 432-445]. Several theorems are an extension of earlier results of the above paper.     

On K_0-groups of operator algebras on Banach spaces

This paper merges some classifications of G-M-type Banach spaces simplifically, discusses the condition of K0(B(X)) = 0 for operator algebra B(X) on a Banach space X, and obtains a result to improve Laustsen's sufficient condition, gives an example to show that X ≈ X2 is not a sufficient condition of K0(B(X)) = 0.     

Certain inequality properties of multivalent analytic functions involving the Dziok-Srivastava operator

The object of the present paper is to derive certain inequality properties of multivalent analytic functions involving the Dziok-Srivastava operator.     

The functional analytic foundation of Colombeau algebras

Colombeau algebras constitute a convenient framework for performing nonlinear operations like multiplication on Schwartz distributions. Many variants and modifications of these algebras exist for various applications. We present a functional analytic approach placing these algebras in a unifying hierarchy, which clarifies their structural properties as well as their relation to each other.     

Homomorphisms and composition operators on algebras of analytic functions of bounded type

Let U and V be convex and balanced open subsets of the Banach spaces X and Y, respectively. In this paper we study the following question: given two Fréchet algebras of holomorphic functions of bounded type on U and V, respectively, that are algebra isomorphic, can we deduce that X and Y (or X^* and Y^*) are isomorphic? We prove that if X^* or Y^* has the approximation property and H_wu(U) and H_wu(V) are topologically algebra isomorphic, then X^* and Y^* are isomorphic (the converse being true when U and V are the whole space). We get analogous results for H_b(U) and H_b(V), giving conditions under which an algebra isomorphism between H_b(X) and H_b(Y) is equivalent to an isomorphism between X^* and Y^*. We also obtain characterizations of different algebra homomorphisms as composition operators, study the structure of the spectrum of the algebras under consideration and show the existence of homomorphisms on H_b(X) with pathological behaviors.     

Some G-M-type Banach spaces and K-groups of operator algebras on them

By providing several new varieties of G-M-type Banach spaces according todecomposable and compoundable properties, this paper discusses the operator structuresof these spaces and the K-theory of the algebra of the operators on these G-M-type Ba-nach spaces through calculation of the K-groups of the operator ideals contained in theclass of Riesz operators.     

Weakly compact composition operators between algebras of bounded analytic functions

We prove a characterization (up to the approximation property) of weakly compact composition operators in terms of their inducing analytic maps .

     

Approximation of analytic functions by Laguerre functions

We will solve the inhomogeneous Laguerre differential equation and apply this result to prove that if a function can be represented by a power series whose radius of convergence is larger than 1, then the function can be approximated, on the interval [0, 1), by a Laguerre function with an error bound C x for some constant C > 0.

Integral means of analytic functions

For analytic functions f(z) and g(z) which satisfy the subordination f(z)?g(z), J.E. Littlewood [Proc. London Math. Soc. 23 (1925) 481-519] has shown some interesting results for integral means of f(z) and g(z). The object of the present paper is to derive some applications of integral means by J.E. Littlewood. We also show interesting examples for our theorems.     

Composition operators on a Banach space of analytic functions

In this paper, we study composition operators on a Banach space of analytic functions, denoted byX, which includes the Bloch space. This space arises naturally as the dual space of analytic functions in the Bergman spaceL _α ¹ (D) which admit an atomic decomposition. We characterize the functions which induce compact composition operators and those which induce Fredholm operatorson this space. We also investigate when a composition operator has a closed range. A variational approach to norm attainment of some operators and polynomials

If X is an Asplund space, then every uniformly continuous function on Bx＊ which is holomorphic on the open unit ball, can be perturbed by a w＊ continuous and homogeneous polynomial on X＊ to obtain a norm attaining function on the dual unit ball. This is a consequence of a version of Bourgain-Stegall＇s variational principle. We also show that the set of N-homogeneous polynomials between two Banach spaces X and Y whose transposes attain their norms is dense in the corresponding space of N-homogeneous polynomials. In the case when Y is the space of Radon measures on a compact K, this result can be strengthened.
