In this article we give a topological approach to the global behavior of arbitrary single-valued solutions in a simple connected domain of some general classes of complex differential equations with multi-valued coefficients. In particular, this permits us to describe certain globally multi-valued solutions as well as algebraic and algebroid solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider evolution equations with time-dependent pseudomonotone and quasimonotone operators by a new approach based on equilibrium problems theory. We establish new existence results for equilibrium problems associated to pseudomonotone and quasimonotone bifunctions in the topological sense. The results obtained are then applied to derive existence of solutions for evolution equations. The approach is new and leads to improve and unify most of the results obtained in this direction.  相似文献

We establish the existence of positive entire solutions to cooperative systems of semilinear elliptic equations involving nonlinearities with critical and supercritical growth. Consequently, we obtain existence results to several well-known model examples such as systems of the Hénon, Lane–Emden, and stationary Schrödinger types. The main technique for generating our results relies on a topological approach for the shooting method combined with nonexistence results to closely related boundary value problems.  相似文献

This paper studies a technique employing both cellular neural networks (CNNs) and linear matrix inequality (LMI) for edge detection of noisy images. Our main work focuses on training templates of noise reduction and edge detection CNNs. Based on the Lyapunov stability theorem, we derive a criterion for global asymptotical stability of a unique equilibrium of the noise reduction CNN. Then we design an approach to train edge detection templates, and this approach can detect the edge precisely and efficiently, i.e., by only one iteration. Finally, we illustrate performance of the proposed methodology from the aspect of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) through computer simulations. Moreover, some comparisons are also given to prove that our method outperforms classical operators in gray image edge detection.  相似文献

In this article, we study the existence of solutions for nonlinear implicit differential equations associated to a time-dependent pseudomonotone (respectively, quasimonotone) operator by using a new approach based on the theory of equilibrium \hboxproblems. More precisely, we first establish some existence results of solutions for mixed equilibrium problems where the \hboxbifunctions are, respectively, maximal monotone and \hboxpseudomonotone (quasimonotone) in the topological sense. Then, we write the nonlinear implicit differential equations in the form of a mixed equilibrium problem. By using the existence results for mixed equilibrium problems, we establish the existence of solutions of nonlinear implicit differential equations. This new approach provides some new and nice results which improve and unify most of the recent results obtained in this direction.  相似文献

We study generic constrained differential equations (CDEs) with three parameters, thereby extending Takens's classification of singularities of such equations. In this approach, the singularities analyzed are the Swallowtail, the Hyperbolic, and the Elliptic Umbilics. We provide polynomial local normal forms of CDEs under topological equivalence. Generic CDEs are important in the study of slow–fast (SF) systems. Many properties and the characteristic behavior of the solutions of SF systems can be inferred from the corresponding CDE. Therefore, the results of this paper show a first approximation of the flow of generic SF systems with three slow variables.  相似文献

The topological sensitivity analysis method gives the variation of a criterion with respect to the creation of a small hole in the domain. In this paper, we use this method to control the mechanical aeration process in eutrophic lakes. A simplified model based on incompressible Navier–Stokes equations is used, only considering the liquid phase, which is the dominant one. The injected air is taken into account through local boundary conditions for the velocity, on the injector holes. A 3D numerical simulation of the aeration effects is proposed using a mixed finite element method. In order to generate the best motion in the fluid for aeration purposes, the optimization of the injector location is considered. The main idea is to carry out topological sensitivity analysis with respect to the insertion of an injector. Finally, a topological optimization algorithm is proposed and some numerical results, showing the efficiency of our approach, are presented.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the asymptotic behavior of solutions of nonlinear differential equations of the third-order with quasiderivatives. We give the necessary and sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence of bounded nonoscillatory solutions. This article addresses Tikhonov-like regularization methods with convex penalty functionals for solving nonlinear ill-posed operator equations formulated in Banach or, more general, topological spaces. We present an approach for proving convergence rates that combines advantages of approximate source conditions and variational inequalities. Precisely, our technique provides both a wide range of convergence rates and the capability to handle general and not necessarily convex residual terms as well as nonsmooth operators. Initially formulated for topological spaces, the approach is extensively discussed for Banach and Hilbert space situations, showing that it generalizes some well-known convergence rates results.  相似文献

We propose a new approach for developing continuum models fit to describe the mechanical behavior of textiles. We develop a physically motivated model, based on the properties of the yarns, which can predict and simulate the textile behavior. The approach relies on the selection of a suitable topological model for the patch of the textile, coupled with constitutive models for the yarn behavior. The textile structural configuration is related to the deformation through an energy functional, which depends on both the macroscopic deformation and the distribution of internal nodes. We determine the equilibrium positions of these latter, constrained to an assigned macroscopic deformation. As a result, we derive a macroscopic strain energy function, which reflects the possibly nonlinear character of the yarns as well as the anisotropy induced by the microscopic topological pattern. By means of both analytical estimates and numerical experiments, we show that our model is well suited for both academic test cases and real industrial textiles, with particular emphasis on the tricot textile.  相似文献

In this article we present a review of results on asymptotic behavior and stability of strong solutions for functional differential equations (FDE). We also formulate several results about spectral properties (completeness and basisness) of exponential solutions of the above-mentioned equations. It is relevant to emphasize that our approach for the research of FDE is based on the spectral analysis of operator pencils that are symbols (characteristic quasi-polynomials) with operator coefficients. The article is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to the research on FDE in a Hilbert space; the second part is devoted to the research on FDE in a finite-dimensional space.  相似文献

We propose a reliable method for constructing a directed weighted complex network (DWCN) from a time series. Through investigating the DWCN for various time series, we find that time series with different dynamics exhibit distinct topological properties. We indicate this topological distinction results from the hierarchy of unstable periodic orbits embedded in the chaotic attractor. Furthermore, we associate different aspects of dynamics with the topological indices of the DWCN, and illustrate how the DWCN can be exploited to detect unstable periodic orbits of different periods. Examples using time series from classical chaotic systems are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.  相似文献

We derive a linearization theorem in the framework of dynamic equations on time scales. This extends a recent result from [Y. Xia, J. Cao, M. Han, A new analytical method for the linearization of dynamic equation on measure chains, J. Differential Equations 235 (2007) 527-543] in various directions: Firstly, in our setting the linear part need not to be hyperbolic and due to the existence of a center manifold this leads to a generalized global Hartman-Grobman theorem for nonautonomous problems. Secondly, we investigate the behavior of the topological conjugacy under parameter variation.These perturbation results are tailor-made for future applications in analytical discretization theory, i.e., to study the relationship between ODEs and numerical schemes applied to them.  相似文献

We prove that a local flow can be constructed for a general class of nonautonomous retarded functional differential equations (RFDE). This is an extension to a result of Artstein (J. Differential Equations 23 (1977) 216) and fits in the classical theory of R. Miller and G. Sell. The main tool in this paper are generalized ordinary differential equations according to Kurzweil (Czech. Math. J. 7 (82) (1957) 418). In obtaining our results, we must prove the space of RFDEs can be embedded in a space of generalized ordinary differential equations. In opposition to the technical hypotheses of Oliva and Vorel (Bol. Soc. Mat. Mexicana 11 (1996) 40), this auxiliary result, as we present, is advantageous in the sense that our assumptions have an explanatory character. Applications based on topological dynamics techniques follow naturally from our results. As an illustration of this fact we show how to achieve in this setting a theorem on continuous dependence on initial data of solutions of RFDEs.  相似文献

We consider the problem of finding T-periodic solutions for a differential system whose vector field depend on a small parameter ε. An answer to this problem can be given using the averaging method. Our main results are in this direction, but our approach is new. We use topological methods based on Brouwer degree theory to solve operator equations equivalent to this problem. The regularity assumptions are weaker then in the known results (up to second order in ε). A result for third order averaging method is also given.As an application we provide a way to study bifurcations of limit cycles from the period annulus of a planar system and notice relations with the displacement function. In this paper we describe a new approach for the detection of fine structures in an image. This approach is based on the computation of the topological gradient associated with a cost function defined from a regularization of the data (possibly noisy). We get this approximation by solving a fourth-order PDE. The study of the topological sensitivity is made in the cases of both a circular inclusion and a crack. We illustrate our approach by giving two experimental results.  相似文献

We construct topological conjugacies between linear and nonlinear evolution operators that admit either a nonuniform exponential contraction or a nonuniform exponential dichotomy. We consider evolution operators defined by nonautonomous differential equations x=A(t)x+f(t,x) in a Banach space. The conjugacies are obtained by first considering sufficiently small linear and nonlinear perturbations of linear equations x=A(t)x. In the case of linear perturbations, we construct in a more or less explicit manner topological conjugacies between the two linear flows. In the case of nonlinear perturbations, we obtain a version of the Grobman-Hartman theorem for nonuniformly hyperbolic dynamics. Furthermore, all the conjugacies that we construct are locally Hölder continuous provided that the vectors fields are of class C1. As a byproduct of our approach, we give conditions for the robustness of strong nonuniform exponential behavior, in the sense that under sufficiently small perturbations the structure determined by the stable and unstable bundles persists up to small variations. We also show that the constants determining the nonuniform exponential contraction or nonuniform exponential dichotomy vary continuously with the perturbation. All the results are obtained in Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we study the topological properties of integral curves of a system of implicit differential equations associated to rarefaction curves of a system of three conservation laws. This system of equations becomes singular at the points of eigenvalue of multiplicity greater or equal to two. We focus our attention to the generic case of multiplicity two and three. In this paper, we prove the strong Feller property for stochastic delay (or functional) differential equations with singular drift. We extend an approach of Maslowski and Seidler to derive the strong Feller property of those equations, see Maslowski and Seidler (2000). The argumentation is based on the well-posedness and the strong Feller property of the equations’ drift-free version. To this aim, we investigate a certain convergence of random variables in topological spaces in order to deal with discontinuous drift coefficients.  相似文献
