A new class of holography is proposed, in which (1) the evanescent part of a guided wave, or (2) the guided wave in a thin-film hologram is utilized as the reference wave and/or the illuminating one. The hologram was designated as “wave-guide hologram” and has advantages in the possibility of integration, wide field of view, and compactness and high reliability of the reconstructing system. The possibility of the waveguide hologram has been proved through reconstruction experiments with a guided wave of a waveguide hologram recorded with a plane reference wave. 相似文献

A large family of cosh-Gaussian travelling wave solution of a complex Ginzburg–Landau equation (CGLE), that describes dissipative semiconductor laser cavity is derived. Using perturbation method, the stability region is identified. Bifurcation analysis is done by smoothly varying the cavity loss coefficient to provide insight of the system dynamics. He’s variational method is adopted to obtain the standard sech-type and the not-so-explored but promising cosh-Gaussian type, travelling wave solutions. For a given set of system parameters, only one sech solution is obtained, whereas several distinct solution points are derived for cosh-Gaussian case. These solutions yield a wide variety of travelling wave profiles, namely Gaussian, near-sech, flat-top and a cosh-Gaussian with variable central dip. A split-step Fourier method and pseudospectral method have been used for direct numerical solution of the CGLE and travelling wave profiles identical to the analytical profiles have been obtained. We also identified the parametric zone that promises an extremely large family of cosh-Gaussian travelling wave solutions with tunable shape. This suggests that the cosh-Gaussian profile is quite generic and would be helpful for further theoretical as well as experimental investigation on pattern formation, pulse dynamics and localization in semiconductor laser cavity. 相似文献

Wave propagation in an inhomogeneous excitable medium is modeled by a two-dimensional, multi-state cellular automaton with absorbing boundary conditions. The inhomogeneity of the meduim affects the normal pattern of wave propagation and various phenomena like delayed propagation and circular wave formation are observed. The different types of wave propagation observed in our computer simulations are summarized in a phase diagram and the predictions of the stochastic models for two of the wave propagation phenomena are presented. The fully developed turbulence can be regarded as a nonlinear system, with wave coupling inside, which causes the nonlinear energy to transfer, and drives the turbulence to develop further or be suppressed. Spectral analysis is one of the most effective methods to study turbulence system. In order to apply it to the study of the nonlinear wave coupling process of edge plasma turbulence, an efficient algorithm based on spectral analysis technology is proposed to solve the nonlinear wave coupling equation. The algorithm is based on a mandatory temporal static condition with the nonideal spectra separated from the ideal spectra. The realization idea and programing flow are given. According to the characteristics of plasma turbulence, the simulation data are constructed and used to verify the algorithm and its implementation program. The simulation results and experimental results show the accuracy of the algorithm and the corresponding program, which can play a great role in the studying the energy transfer in edge plasma turbulences. As an application, the energy cascade analysis of typical edge plasma turbulence is carried out by using the results of a case calculation. Consequently, a physical picture of the energy transfer in a kind of fully developed turbulence is constructed, which confirms that the energy transfer in this turbulent system develops from lower-frequency region to higher-frequency region and from linear growing wave to damping wave. 相似文献

本文以氟里昂作工质,对自然循环过冷沸腾流动不稳定性进行了实验研究.实验过程中发现自然循环系统内可能发生高频脉动和低频脉动二种类型的过冷沸腾流动不稳定性.通过实验研究揭示了这二种类型流动不稳定性的发生机理,证实高频脉动属于声波型脉动,低频脉动属于密度波型脉动.通过实验得出了判断系统稳定性的界限,并使用积分方程无因次分析方法得出了预测密度波型流动不稳定性的经验公式. 相似文献

The transverse charge density of pions is calculated based on relativistic quantum mechanics, where the pion is regarded as a quark-antiquark bound state. Corrections from the two spin-1/2 constituents and from the wave function of a quark and antiquark inside the bound system are discussed. The calculated results are compared to the results with a realistic effective Lagrangian approach as well as to that with a simple covariant model where the pion is regarded as a composite system with two scalar particles. 相似文献

A phenomenological amplitude equation introduced earlier to calculate steady states of convection in a finite container, is studied numerically as a function of space and time. The effect of sidewalls on wave number selection is demonstrated by observing the response of the system to the sudden imposition of boundary conditions. The wave vectors of stable steady states are studied as a function of Rayleigh number near threshold, and it is shown that more than one state can be stable for fixed Rayleigh number. 相似文献

We present an orientational quantum interferometer sensitive to gravitational waves that is based on orienting quantum objects
like molecules, atoms, or nuclei in space. The detection principle is based on inducing non-sphericity to the corresponding
wave functions by light-pulses. In the field of a gravitational wave these objects then possess spectra that depend on their
orientation in space. In our measurement scheme we investigate the adiabatic influence of a monochromatic gravitational wave
over a quarter gravitational wave period and compare the corresponding frequencies at instances with maximal and vanishing
gravitational wave elongation. We therefore explore the effect over a quarter gravitational wave period (or wavelength) and
the resulting frequency shift scales with the binding energy of the system times the amplitude of the gravitational wave.
In particular, a gravitational wave with amplitude h = 10−23 will induce a frequency shift of the order of 110 μHz for an atom interferometer based on a 91-fold charged uranium ion. 相似文献

A general theory is presented of harmonic wave propagation in one-dimensional periodic systems with multiple coupling between adjacent periodic elements. The motion of each element is expressed in terms of a finite number of displacement coordinates. The nature and number of different wave propagation constants at any frequency are discussed, and the energy flow associated with waves having real, complex or imaginary propagation constants is investigated. Kinetic and potential energy functions are derived for the propagating waves and a generalized Rayleigh's Quotient and Rayleigh's Principle for the complex wave motion have been found. This is extended to yield a generalized Rayleigh-Ritz method of finding approximate, yet accurate, relationships between the frequencies and propagation constants of the propagating waves. The effect of damping is also considered, and a special class of “damped forced waves” is postulated for hysteretically damped periodic systems. An energy definition for the loss factor of these waves is found. Briefly considered is the two-dimensional multi-coupled periodic system in which a simple wave motion analogous to a plane wave propagates across the whole system. 相似文献

This paper presents the wave filtering method for a rectangular panel, which is necessary for a feedforward wave control system, and clarifies its validity in the control system. Firstly, a wave solution of a rectangular panel is derived to describe the wave dynamics of the structure. This is followed by the derivation of the wave filtering equations that indicates the structure of the filter. It is found that the proposed wave filter consists of a modal filter, a rearrangement filter and a wave decomposition filter. Then, from the viewpoint of numerical simulations, the characteristics of the wave propagation in a rectangular panel as well as the accuracy of the wave fitter are verified. For the evaluation of the filter accuracy, the condition number is used as a performance index. Finally, an experiment on the adaptive feedforward control system using the wave filter is carried out, demonstrating that the reflected wave absorbing control enables the inactivation of vibration modes. 相似文献

A variational wave function is used to describe the binding energy of atomic negative ions using a two-electron system in the 2p2-state. Each electron is described by a modified screened hydrogenic wave function involving two free screening parameters denoted by c and a. The model is applied to hydrogen, helium, lithium, and boron anions, where the optimum values of the screening parameters are deduced through fitting the optimized energy to available experimental and theoretical values. The behavior of the optimum wave function for each anion is also investigated as a function of electronic radial distance and compared with its counterpart in the screened hydrogenic model and the Hartree–Fock method. 相似文献
