We introduce multiple Dedekind–Rademacher sums, in terms of values of Bernoulli functions, that generalize the classical Dedekind–Rademacher sums. The aim of this paper is to give and prove a reciprocity law for these sums. We consider some random series parametrised by Martin-Löf random sequences. The simplest case is that of Rademacher series, independent of a time parameter. This is then extended to the case of Fourier series on the circle with Rademacher coefficients. Finally, a specific Fourier series which has coefficients determined by a computable function is shown to converge to an algorithmically random Brownian motion.  相似文献

In his book Topics in Analytic Number Theory, Hans Rademacher conjectured that the limits of certain sequences of coefficients that arise in the ordinary partial fraction decomposition of the generating function for partitions of integers into at most N parts exist and equal particular values that he specified. Despite being open for nearly four decades, little progress has been made towards proving or disproving the conjecture, perhaps in part due to the difficulty in actually computing the coefficients in question. In this paper, we present a recurrence (alias difference equation) which provides a fast algorithm for calculating the Rademacher coefficients, a large amount of data, direct formulae for certain collections of Rademacher coefficients, and overwhelming evidence against the truth of the conjecture. While the limits of the sequences of Rademacher coefficients do not exist (the sequences oscillate and attain arbitrarily large positive and negative values), the sequences do get very close to Rademacher's conjectured limits for certain (predictable) indices in the sequences.  相似文献

For a finite function class, we describe the large sample limit of the sequential Rademacher complexity in terms of the viscosity solution of a G-heat equation. In the language of Peng’s sublinear expectation theory, the same quantity equals to the expected value of the largest order statistics of a multidimensional G-normal random variable. We illustrate this result by deriving upper and lower bounds for the asymptotic sequential Rademacher complexity.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a certain product of double sine functions as an analogue of the Dedekind–Rademacher sum. Its reciprocity formulas are established by decomposition of a certain double zeta function. As their applications, we reconstruct and refine a part of Arakawa?s work on ray class invariants of real quadratic fields, and prove directly explicit relations between various invariants which are defined in terms of the double sine function and are related to the Stark–Shintani conjecture. Moreover, in some examples, new expressions of the invariants are revealed. As two appendices, we give a new proof of Carlitz?s three-term relation for the Dedekind–Rademacher sum and a simple proof of Arakawa?s transformation formula for an analogue of the generalized Eisenstein series originated with Lewittes.  相似文献

In his classic book, Topics in Analytic Number Theory, H. Rademacher posed a natural conjecture concerning the generating function for p(n), the number of partitions of n. In this paper we undertake a systematic study of an expansion technique that has its genesis in the work of Cayley. We apply this to the Rademacher conjecture, and obtain the first positive result providing theoretical evidence for the conjecture.   相似文献

In this paper, we present a new technique for bounding local Rademacher averages of function classes induced by a loss function and a reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS). At the heart of this technique lies the observation that certain expectations of random entropy numbers can be bounded by the eigenvalues of the integral operator associated with the RKHS. We then work out the details of the new technique by establishing two new oracle inequalities for support vector machines, which complement and generalize previous results.  相似文献

The concept of Rademacher typep (1≤p≤2) plays an important role in the local theory of Banach spaces. In [3] Mascioni considers a weakening of this concept and shows that for a Banach spaceX weak Rademacher typep implies Rademacher typer for allr<p. As with Rademacher typep and weak Rademacher typep, we introduce the concept of Haar typep and weak Haar typep by replacing the Rademacher functions by the Haar functions in the respective definitions. We show that weak Haar typep implies Haar typer for allr<p. This solves a problem left open by Pisier [5]. The method is to compare Haar type ideal norms related to different index sets.  相似文献
