Effect of temperature on the evolution of bright and dark screening—photovoltaic spatial solitons

We investigate theoretically the temperature effects on the evolution of both bright and dark screening-photovoltaic optical spatial solitons in biased photovoltaic-photocefractive crystals in the case of neglecting the diffusion process.For a stable bright or dark screening-photovoltaic soliton originally formed in a crystal at a given temperature,when the crystal temperature changes,it will evolve into another stable screening-photovoltaic soliton if the change is quite small,whereas it will become unstable or break down if the temperature change is large enough.The spatial shape of a stable screening-photovoltaic soliton can be reshaped by appropriately adjusting the crystal temperature. 相似文献

The signal generated by an initial perturbation dispersively propagates in the vertical granular chain under gravity.For the power-law-type contact force,the signal speed follows power-law with the depth.When the perturbation is very weak,the exponent is 1/2(1-1/p).When the perturbation is very strong,the exponent approaches zero.The transition of the exponent from oscillatory regime with weak nonlinearity to quasi-solitary regime with strong nonlinearity is smooth. 相似文献

The self-deflection of a bright solitary beam can be controlled by a dark solitary beam via a parametric coupling effect between the bright and dark solitary beams in a separate bright-dark spatial soliton pair supported by an unbiased series photorefractive crystal circuit. The spatial shift of the bright solitary beam centre as a function of the input intensity of the dark solitary beam (\hatρ) is investigated by taking into account the higher-order space charge field in the dynamics of the bright solitary beam via both numerical and perturbation methods under steady-state conditions. The deflection amount (Δs_0), defined as the value of the spatial shift at the output surface of the crystal, is a monotonic and nonlinear function of \hatρ. When \hatρ is weak or strong enough, Δs_0 is, in fact, unchanged with \hatρ, whereas Δs_0 increases or decreases monotonically with \hatρ in a middle range of \hatρ. The corresponding variation range (δs) depends strongly on the value of the input intensity of the bright solitary beam (r). There are some peak and valley values in the curve of δs versus r under some conditions. When \hatρ increases, the bright solitary beam can scan toward both the direction same as and opposite to the crystal's c-axis. Whether the direction is the same as or opposite to the c-axis depends on the parameter values and configuration of the crystal circuit, as well as the value of r. The two-parameter family of Estevez-Mansfield-Clarkson equations with fully nonlinear dispersion (called E(m,n) equations),(uz^m)zzτ γ(uz^nuτ)z uττ=0 which is a generalized model of the integrable Estevez-Mansfield-Clarkson equation uzzzτ γ(uzuzτ uzzuτ) uττ=0,is presented.Five types of symmetries of the E9m,n) equation are obtained by making use of the direct reduction method.Using these obtained reductions and some simple transformations,we obtain the solitary-like wave solutions of E(1,n) equation.In addition,we also find the compacton solutions (which are solitary waves with the property that after colliding with other compacton solutions,they reemerge with the same coherent shape) of E(3,2) equation and E(m,m-1) for its potentials,say,uz,and compacton-like solutions of E(m,m-1) equations,respectively.Whether there exist compacton-like solutions of the other E(m,n) equation with m≠n 1 is still an open problem. 相似文献

Correlations among multiple noise perturbations are considered in a sofiton system. It is found that these perturbations lead to disintegration of soliton, their correlations play important roles and reinforce their effects.Furthermore, there is a limiting case among the multiple noise perturbations in the system, here their effect is the largest.
