An extended mapping deformation method is proposed for finding new exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs). The key idea of this method is to take full advantage of the simple algebraic mapping relation between the solutions of the PDEs and those of the cubic nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. This is applied to solve a system of variant Boussinesq equations. As a result, many explicit and exact solutions are obtained, including solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, Jacobian elliptic function solutions and other exact solutions.  相似文献

A linear superposition is studied for Wronskian rational solutions to the Kd V equation, which include rogue wave solutions. It is proved that it is equivalent to a polynomial identity that an arbitrary linear combination of two Wronskian polynomial solutions with a difference two between the Wronskian orders is again a solution to the bilinear Kd V equation. It is also conjectured that there is no other rational solutions among general linear superpositions of Wronskian rational solutions.  相似文献

An algebraic method with symbolic computation is devised to uniformly construct a series of exact solutions of the (2 1)-dimensional Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon-Kotera-Sawda equation. The solutions obtained in this paper include solitary wave solutions, rational solutions, triangular periodic solutions, Jacobi and Weierstrass doubly periodic solutions. Among them, the Jacobi periodic solutions exactly degenerate to the solutions at a certain limit condition. Compared with most existing tanh method, the method used here can give new and more general solutions. More importantly, this method provides a guideline to classify the various types of the solution according to some parameters.  相似文献

By using the general solutions of a new coupled Riccati equations, a direct algebraic method is described to construct doubly periodic solutions (Jacobi elliptic function solution) for the coupled nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations.It is shown that more doubly periodic solutions and the corresponding solitary wave solutions and trigonometric function solutions can be obtained in a unified way by this method.  相似文献

The influence of a Lorentz violation on soliton solutions generated by a system of two coupled scalar fields is investigated. Lorentz violation is induced by a fixed tensor coefficient that couples the two fields. The Bogomol’nyi method is applied and first-order differential equations are obtained whose solutions minimize the energy and are also solutions of the equations of motion. The analysis of the solutions in phase space shows how the stability is modified with the Lorentz violation. It is shown explicitly that the solutions preserve linear stability despite the presence of Lorentz violation. Considering Lorentz violation as a small perturbation, an analytical method is employed to yield analytical solutions.  相似文献

We study separable and self-similar solutions to the HunterSaxton equation,a nonlinear wave equation which has been used to describe an instability in the director field of a nematic liquid crystal(among other applications).Essentially,we study solutions which arise from a nonlinear inhomogeneous ordinary differential equation which is obtained by an exact similarity transform for the HunterSaxton equation.For each type of solution,we are able to obtain some simple exact solutions in closed-form,and more complicated solutions through an analytical approach.We find that there is a whole family of self-similar solutions,each of which depends on an arbitrary parameter.This parameter essentially controls the manner of self-similarity and can be chosen so that the self-similar solutions agree with given initial data.The simpler solutions found constitute exact solutions to a nonlinear partial differential equation,and hence are also useful in a mathematical sense.Analytical solutions demonstrate the variety of behaviors possible within the wider family of similarity solutions.Both types of solutions cast light on self-similar phenomenon arising in the HunterSaxton equation.  相似文献

A unified approach is presented for finding the travelling wave solutions to one kind of nonlinear evolution equation by introducing a concept of "rank". The key idea of this method is to make use of the arbitrariness of the manifold in Painleve analysis. We selected a new expansion variable and thus obtained a rich variety of travelling wave solutions to nonlinear evolution equation, which covered solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, Weierstrass elliptic function solutions, and rational solutions. Three illustrative equations are investigated by this means, and abundant travelling wave solutions are obtained in a systematic way. In addition, some new solutions are firstly reported here.  相似文献

The solutions to a linear wave equation can satisfy the principle of superposition,i.e.,the linear superposition of two or more known solutions is still a solution of the linear wave equation.We show in this article that many nonlinear wave equations possess exact traveling wave solutions involving hyperbolic,triangle,and exponential functions,and the suitable linear combinations of these known solutions can also constitute linear superposition solutions to some nonlinear wave equations with special structural characteristics.The linear superposition solutions to the generalized KdV equation K(2,2,1),the Oliver water wave equation,and the k(n,n) equation are given.The structure characteristic of the nonlinear wave equations having linear superposition solutions is analyzed,and the reason why the solutions with the forms of hyperbolic,triangle,and exponential functions can form the linear superposition solutions is also discussed.  相似文献

Static, spherically symmetric solutions of the Yang-Mills-Dilaton theory are studied. It is shown that these solutions fall into three different classes. The generic solutions are singular. Besides there is a discrete set of globally regular solutions further distinguished by the number of nodes of their Yang-Mills potential. The third class consists of oscillating solutions playing the role of limits of regular solutions, when the number of nodes tends to infinity. We show that all three sets of solutions are non-empty. Furthermore we give asymptotic formulae for the parameters of regular solutions and confront them with numerical results.  相似文献

This paper applies an extended auxiliary equation method to obtain exact solutions of the KdV equation with variable coefficients. As a result, solitary wave solutions, trigonometric function solutions, rational function solutions, Jacobi elliptic doubly periodic wave solutions, and nonsymmetrical kink solution are obtained. It is shown that the extended auxiliary equation method, with the help of a computer symbolic computation system, is reliable and effective in finding exact solutions of variable coefficient nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

The generalized transformation method is utilized to solve three-dimensional Nizhnik-Novikov-Veselov equation and construct a series of new exact solutions including kink-shaped and bell-shaped soliton solutions, trigonometric function solutions, and Jacobi elliptic doubly periodic solutions. Among them, the Jacobi elliptic periodic wave solutions exactly degenerate to the soliton solutions at a certain limit condition. The functional variable method is a powerful solution method for obtaining exact solutions of some nonlinear partial differential equations. In this paper, the functional variable method is used to establish exact solutions of the generalized forms of Klein–Gordon equation, the (2?+?1)-dimensional Camassa–Holm Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation and the higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equation. By using this useful method, we found some exact solutions of the above-mentioned equations. The obtained solutions include solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and combined formal solutions. It is shown that the proposed method is effective and general.  相似文献

Simple but novel rational solutions of a fifth-order Korteweg–de Vries (KdV)-like equation are presented. Travelling wave solutions, which reduce to these rational solutions in the long-wavelength limit, are also presented. Other aspects of travelling wave solutions are discussed, including the possibility of additional integrations. The truncated Painlevé expansion is developed and it is shown how this and related forms lead to a variety of solutions.  相似文献

Elliptic equation is taken as an ansatz and applied to solve nonlinear wave equations directly. More kinds of solutions are directly obtained, such as rational solutions, solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and so on.
