A planar metamaterial of analogue of Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT-like) is theoretically and experimentally investigated. The EIT-like metamaterial unit cell, whose electrical size is only , consists of a split ring resonator (SRR) and a folded-line pair resonator (FLPR). For the TM wave incidence, a sharp transmitted peak with high quality factor can be observed. The EIT-like metamaterial is fabricated and measured. Good agreement is obtained between the simulation and measurement results. A miniature refractive index sensor based on the proposed metamaterial is simulated and exhibits high sensitivity and Figure of Merit (FOM). 相似文献

We aim to present a new scheme for high-dimensional atomic microscopy via double electromagnetically induced transparency in a four-level tripod system. For atom–field interaction, we construct a spatially dependent field by superimposing three standing-wave fields(SWFs) in 3 D-atom localization. We achieve a high precision and high spatial resolution of an atom localization by appropriately adjusting the system variables such as field intensities and phase shifts. We also see the impact of Doppler shift and show that it dramatically deteriorates the precision of spatial information on 3 D-atom localization. We believe that our suggested scheme opens up a fascinating way to improve the atom localization that supplies some practical applications in atom nanolithography, and Bose–Einstein condensation. 相似文献

本文对准型四能级系统中探测功率展宽效应引起的非线性效应进行了理论研究。准型四能级系统包括三个基态精细结构能级和一个激发态能级,除光学耦合场和探测场分别激励一个基态精细结构能级和激发态能级之间的跃迁外,附加了一个射频驱动场作用于其中一个基态精细结构能级和另一个新的基态精细结构能级之间,并通过与耦合场驱动共同能级建立量子相关性。研究结果表明,在射频驱动场的辅助激励下,探测功率展宽效应不仅可以使EIT的线宽增宽,还能引起吸收曲线中的类色散特性,使EIT最终变化为EIA。 相似文献

在Λ型三能级系统的基础上引入两个共振射频场, 通过详细讨论系统的探测吸收特性随两个射频场Rabi频率取不同值时的变化规律, 得出电磁诱导透明(EIT)的分裂规律以及EIT上出现增益现象的产生条件.研究结果表明: 两个射频场对系统所起的控制作用不同, 控制基态精细结构能级之间跃迁的射频场对EIT的分裂起作用, 而控制激发态精细结构能级之间跃迁的射频场不会导致EIT的分裂; 而且, 只有当控制基态精细结构能级之间跃迁的射频场的Rabi频率大于控制激发态精细结构能级之间跃迁的射频场的Rabi频率时, 才能产生EIT与增益相叠加的新特性.

采用一束相干外场作用在倒Y模型原子的基态与另外状态构成的跃迁上,实现对单光子和双光子电磁诱导透明谱的调制。经研究发现相干外场对单光子和双光子的吸收性质有类似的影响效果。由于相干外场的作用,吸收谱的共振点附近出现吸收峰将原单重透明谱分裂为双重透明谱。诱导的吸收峰的高度和透明谱的频谱宽度与相干外场的强度有密切关系。并用缀饰态理论解释了这些物理现象。这些研究对多通道光通信以及对原子光学性质的调控方面有积极意义。 相似文献

We study optomechanically induced amplification and perfect transparency in a double-cavity optomechanical system. We find that if two control lasers with appropriate amplitudes and detunings are applied to drive the system, optomechanically induced amplification of a probe laser can occur. In addition, perfect optomechanically induced transparency, which is robust to mechanical dissipation, can be realized by the same type of driving. These results indicate important progress toward signal amplification, light storage, fast light, and slow light in quantum information processes. 相似文献

本文在典型的里德伯电磁感应透明系统中研究弱探测场在相互作用原子系统中的传播特性,重点关注基于偶极阻塞效应的探测场相位的合作光学非线性行为.通过与探测场透射率和光子关联作对比,发现相位的光学响应具有新特性:共振和Autler-Townes劈裂条件下相位对入射场强和初始光子关联不敏感,而在两者之间的频率范围内相位响应具有非线性特征,尤其在经典光频率处最显著.此外,提高主量子数和原子密度都会促进相位的非线性效应.综上,与探测场透射率和光子关联一样,相位可以作为合作光学非线性的另一个标识来刻画非线性现象,对里德伯电磁感应透明研究是一个有力的补充. 相似文献

We performed an experimental study on the dependence of the linewidth of electromagetically induced transparency (EIT) on the temperature of medium in a Λ-type configuration using caesium vapour. We found that the transparent window is narrowed in the EIT whose two ground levels are composed of two hyperfine levels, and broadened in the case when the two ground levels are degenerated Zeeman sublevels, as the temperature of vapour cell is increased. The explanation for the phenomena is given qualitatively. 相似文献

研究了Λ型能级系统中, 85Rb原子在耦合光频率失谐较小时的电磁感应透明(EIT)现象. 实验中, 随着耦合光频率失谐量的增加, 电磁感应透明窗口的绝对强度有所减弱, 但是其相对深度却有所增加, 透明窗口相对深度最大的位置不在耦合光频率共振处, 而是在耦合光频率失谐约180 MHz的位置. 用三能级和四能级系统的理论分别对实验结果进行对比分析, 发现用四能级系统的理论进行拟合的结果与实验符合得比较好. 对此, 我们提出当耦合光频率失谐较小时, EIT信号是两个激发态共同作用的结果, 并用四能级系统的理论分析了两个激发态之间的能级间隔对透明窗口相对深度最大值位置的影响. 相似文献

Here, we study the controllable optical responses in a two-cavity optomechanical system, especially on the perfect optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) in the model which has never been studied before. The results show that the perfect OMIT can still occur even with a large mechanical damping rate, and at the perfect transparency window the long-lived slow light can be achieved. In addition, we find that the conversion between the perfect OMIT and optomechanically induced absorption can be easily achieved just by adjusting the driving field strength of the second cavity. We believe that the results can be used to control optical transmission in modern optical networks. 相似文献

The ideal optomechanically induced transparency effects of an output probe field are investigated in a cavity optoelectromechanical system, which is composed of an optical cavity, a charged mechanical resonator, and a charged object.Although the charged mechanical resonator damping rate is nonzero, the ideal optomechanically induced transparency can still appear due to the non-rotating wave approximation effect in the system. The location of optomechanically induced transparency dip can be controlled via the Coulomb coupling strength. In addition, we find that both the transparency window width and the maximum dispersion curve slope are closely related to the optical cavity decay rate. 相似文献

We have studied electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) spectra in a frequency span as wide as 300 MHz. This tunability of EIT spectra provides an opportunity to utilize the sub-natural spectra in measuring unknown laser frequency very accurately. EIT is observed when control and probe laser frequency detunings are equal. This correlation has been used to identify and measure unknown probe frequency with a very high degree of accuracy, subject to the condition that control laser frequency is known. 相似文献

We study the ultraslow optical solitons in a resonant
three-level atomic system via electromagnetically induced
transparency under a density-matrix (DM) approach. The results of
linear and nonlinear optical properties are compared with those
obtained by using an amplitude variable (AV) approach. It is found
that the results for both approaches are the same in the linear
regime if the corresponding relations between the
population-coherence decay rates in the DM approach and the
energy-level decay rates in the AV approach are appropriately
imposed. However, in the nonlinear regime there is a small
difference for the self-phase modulation coefficient of the
nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation that governs the time evolution
of probe pulse envelope. All analytical predicts are checked by

在通常的Λ型三能级系统中,光学耦合场和探测场分别激发两个不同的光学跃迁,探测吸收谱呈现电磁诱导透明(EIT)特性.若将此系统拓展为光学-射频双光子耦合场和探测场共同作用下的准Λ型四能级系统,探测吸收谱呈现电磁诱导吸收(EIA)和EIT两种特性.通过求解系统的密度矩阵方程,分析了EIA和EIT的产生条件,并给出了相应的缀饰态解释.研究结果表明,在准Λ型四能级系统中,光学耦合场对EIA和EIT的形成起决定作用,共振时出现EIA,非共振时出现EIT,而且EIA和EIT的线宽随着光学耦合场拉比频率的增大而增加.
