We propose a scheme for implementing conditional quantum phase gates for two four-state atoms trapped in a cavity. The two ground states of the atoms are coupled through two Raman processes induced by the cavity mode and two classical fields. Under certain conditions nonresonant Raman processes lead to two-atom coupling and can be used to produce conditional phase gates. The scheme is insensitive to cavity decay, thermal photons, and atomic spontaneous emission. The scheme does not require individual addressing of the atoms.  相似文献

A protocol is proposed to generate atomic entangled states and implement quantum information transfer in a cavity quantum electrodynamics system. It utilizes Raman transitions or stimulated Raman adiabatic passages between two systems to entangle the ground states of two three-state Λ-type atoms trapped in a single mode cavity. It does not need the measurements on cavity field nor atomic detection and can be implemented in a deterministic fashion. Since the present protocol is insensitive to both cavity decay and atomic spontaneous emission, it may have some interesting applications in quantum information processing.  相似文献

We present a scheme for transferring atomic entangled states via adiabatic passage. In the scheme, we use photons to achieve efficient quantum transmission among spatially distant atoms. The probability of the successful transferring quantum state approaches 1. Meanwhile, the scheme is robust against the effects of atomic spontaneous emission.  相似文献

We demonstrate how to perform quantum phase gate with cavity QED system in decoherence-free subspace by using only linear optics elements and photon detectors. The qubits are encoded in the singlet state of the atoms in cavities among spatially separated nodes, and the quantum interference of polarized photons decayed from the optical cavities is used to realized the desired quantum operation among distant nodes. In comparison with previous schemes, the distinct advantage is that the gate fidelity could not only resist collective noises, but also immune from atomic spontaneous emission, cavity decay, and imperfection of the photodetectors. We also discuss the experimental feasibility of our scheme.  相似文献

We present a sub-Doppler cooling scheme of a two-trapped-ion crystal by quantum feedback control method. In the scheme, we obtain the motional information by continuously measuring the spontaneous emission photons from one single ion of the crystal, and then apply a feedback force to cool the whole chain down.We derive the cooling dynamics of the cooling scheme using quantum feedback theory and quantum regression theorem. The result shows that with experimentally achievable parameters, our scheme can achieve lower temperature and faster cooling rate than Doppler cooling.  相似文献

Based on adiabatic passage, we propose a scheme for implementing the quantum transfer of an unknown atomic state. In our scheme, we utilize photons for ideal quantum transmission between two cavities with the successful probability being about 1. Meanwhile, the scheme is robust against the effects of atomic spontaneous emission. It may be useful for transferring quantum information among spatially distant atoms.  相似文献

The recent development of high quality semiconductor quantum dots as opened the way to quantum optics experiments in the solid-state on these ‘artificial atoms’. We discuss in particular the control of their spontaneous emission in microcavities (strong coupling, spontaneous emission enhancement, monomode emission) and the generation of quantum states of light (single photons and photon pairs). We finally present a single-mode solid-state single photon source, which is based on a single quantum dot in a pillar microcavity, and is the first of a novel class of optoelectronic devices relying on cavity quantum electrodynamics for their operation. 用全量子理论研究二能级原子单模腔耦合系统,通过理论推导和数值计算得出系统的自发辐射光谱和平均粒子数密度.共振时腔与原子的发射光谱在强耦合与弱耦合区域有所不同,腔发射光谱分裂只出现于强耦合区域,而原子发射光谱由于腔感应透明效应在弱耦合区域出现了缺口.本文系统地研究了原子与腔在失谐时的发射光谱,在好腔机理(腔线宽小于原子线宽g)原子与腔即使在大失谐时腔发射出腔频率的光子,这给当前实验上困惑的特性提供了一个理论依据.为了给腔感应透明效应一个新的深入了解,还研究了原子与腔平均粒子数密度随时间的演化,以及平均粒子数密度与光强度之间的关系. 关键词: 自发辐射 强耦合 腔感应透明 好腔机理  相似文献

We propose simple schemes for generating W-type multipartite entangled states in cavity quantum electrodynamics (CQED). Our schemes involve a largely detuned interaction of Λ-type three-level atoms with a single-mode cavity field and a classical laser, and both the symmetric and asymmetric W states can be created in a single step. Our schemes are insensitive to both the cavity decay and atomic spontaneous emission. With the above system, we also propose a scheme for realizing quantum-information concentration which is the reverse process of quantum cloning. In this scheme, quantum-information originally coming from a single qubit, but now distributed into many qubits, is concentrated back to a single qubit in only one step.  相似文献

原子系综内部分原子发生相干态转移后所处量子态被称为集体激发态.如果激发数目在单原子量级则被称为单激发态.在量子存储过程中,单光子以单激发态的形式在原子系综内进行存储.因此,研究单激发态的制备、演化、转化、干涉等过程是量子存储及其应用研究的关键.本文总结了近年来作者所在研究团队针对冷原子系综体系在此研究方向取得的若干成果.主要包括采用动量模式调控、三维光晶格等手段抑制单激发态的退相干,采用环形腔增强原子至光子的转化效率,发展基于拉曼光的单激发态相干转移技术,利用单量子态不同模式间干涉制备光与原子纠缠,利用里德伯阻塞机制提升纠缠制备效率等.此外,简要回顾了基于多个单激发态的量子中继及量子网络实验.  相似文献

We propose a simple scheme to implement multi-qubit quantum Grover search with atomic ensembles by adiabatic passage. The scheme is immune to the atomic spontaneous emission, cavity decay and fiber decay. Furthermore, the process can be speeded up with atomic ensemble instead of single atom, which is important in view of decoherence. With each atomic ensemble confined in an individual cavity, our scheme is experimentally scalable to multi-qubit cases.  相似文献

We propose an approach to detect an unknown quantum state of the atom(s) by measuring the phase shifts of the transmitted photons through a dispersively-coupled cavity. In the framework of the input-output theory, we derive the relations between the phase shifts of the transmitted photons and the states of the atom(s) in the cavity. It is shown that due to the dispersive interaction between the cavity and the atom(s), information about the atomic state can then be extracted by measuring the phase shifts of the transmitted photons through the cavity. The feasibility of the proposal is also discussed with the experimental parameters by numerical method.  相似文献

We investigate (non‐relativistic) atomic systems interacting with quantum electromagnetic field (QEF). The resulting model describes spontaneous emission of light from a two‐level atom surrounded by various initial states of the QEF. We assume that the quantum field interacts with the atom via the standard, minimal‐coupling Hamiltonian, with the A2 term neglected. We also assume that there will appear at most single excitations (photons). By conducting the analysis on a general level we allow for an arbitrary initial state of the QEF (which can be for instance: the vacuum, the ground state in a cavity, or the squeezed state). We derive a Volterra‐type equation which governs the time evolution of the amplitude of the excited state. The two‐point function of the initial state of the QEF, integrated with a combination of atomic wavefunctions, forms the kernel of this equation.  相似文献

We present a quantum-theoretical treatment of cavity linewidth narrowing with intracavity electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT). By means of intracavity EIT, the photons in the cavity are in the form of cavity polaritons:bright-state polariton and dark-state polariton. Strong coupling of the bright-state polariton to the excited state induces an effect known as vacuum Rabi splitting, whereas the dark-state polariton decoupled from the excited state induces a narrow cavity transmission window. Our analysis would provide a quantum theory of linewidth narrowing with a quantum field pulse.  相似文献
