<正>The existence of one-dimensional bright Kerr solitons is investigated in Kerr media beyond the paraxial approximation. It is found that a nonparaxial soliton with no less than a minimum dimensionless width of about 0.76 can exist, which corresponds to the real width about a wavelength.Besides,the coherent interactions between two nonparaxial bright solitons in Kerr media are also investigated in detail.It is found that their separation and intensity ratio have great influence on the coherent interaction between these two solitons.Furthermore,the effect of the relative phase difference on the nonparaxial interaction is quite different from that on the paraxial interaction.Periodical breath, merging,repulsion,and energy transferring can be realized separately by choosing an appropriate initial relative phase between the coherent solitons.  相似文献

用数值方法分析了平行传播异色光伏暗孤子之间及亮-暗孤子之间的相互作用.结果表明,光伏暗孤子共轴传播能在有限的距离内保持准孤子形态,靠近传播时存在着相互吸引的作用 ,而相距较远传播时表现为一孤子暗区使另一孤子的缓变光场部分发生局部会聚作用.光伏暗孤子与亮孤子的相互作用随距离的不同可使亮孤子光强分布变尖锐或变平缓,以及使亮孤子发生能量转移.从两束信号光共同引起折射率波导这一物理机理对光伏孤子这些相互作用给出定性物理解释. 关键词: 光伏空间孤子 暗孤子 亮孤子 相互作用  相似文献

We investigate the generation and properties of dark and bright surface waves at the interface of a conventional medium and a metamaterial. It is shown that the stable dark and bright surface solitons can coexist even when the nonlinear Kerr coefficients of the two media are negative, completely different from those at the interface between two conventional media. Most importantly, both the dark and bright surface solitons exist only within a certain range of the effective refractive index of the metamaterial, greatly depending on the frequency of the electromagnetic wave propagating in it. Therefore, the generation conditions for surface solitons, and the properties of the generated surface solitons such as the peak positions and the intensity of the dark and bright surface solitons, can be controlled by adjusting the structure parameters of the metamaterial and/or the frequency of the electromagnetic wave.  相似文献

The consistent tanh expansion (CTE) method is applied to the (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation which describes the propagation of ultrashort pulse in quadratic nonlinear medium. The interaction solutions are explicitly given, such as the bright soliton-periodic wave interaction solution, variational amplitude periodic wave solution, and kink-periodic wave interaction solution. We also obtain the bright soliton solution, kind bright soliton solution, double well dark soliton solution and kink-bright soliton interaction solution by using Painlevé truncated expansion method. 利用束传播法对(1+1)维光折变亮屏蔽孤子间的相互作用进行了详细地数值模拟研究.结果表明:两同相孤子相互吸引,并伴有孤子融合现象,且孤子融合发生时的作用距离随着孤子初始间距的增大而增大;两反相孤子相互排斥,且排斥作用随着孤子初始间距的减小而增强;当两孤子的相位差位于区间(0,π)和(-π,0)中时,其相互作用过程将伴有能量转移,但两区间内能量转移的方向相反,并表现出反转对称性;由于孤子间的距离和相对相位对孤子间的相互作用均有很大的影响,因此多个孤子间的相互作用过程非常复杂,但可以通过分析相邻孤子间的相互作用对其进行定性的预测.  相似文献

We investigate theoretically the time behavior of spatial solitons in biased centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals. A one-dimensional time-dependent wave propagation equation in biased centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals is presented. It is shown that the bright solitons exist in both quasi-steady-state and steady-state regimes for high saturation values. When the intensity ratio is smaller than unity, the bright soliton width decreases monotonically to a minimum value toward steady state. Moreover, the time-dependent nonlinear wave equation exhibits only steady-state screening dark spatial solitons.  相似文献

Three types of two bright bound solitons with increasing coherence are investigated in the Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) with the exponentially time-dependent interparticle interaction in an expulsive parabolic potential. Two methods are provided with symbolic computation to improve the number of matter density peaks within the given temporal range before the collapse of the solitons under the one-dimensional approximation: (i) enhancing the axial harmonic oscillator frequency; (ii) increasing the initial coherence of the bound solitons. Compression of the three- and four-bright-bound-soliton trains is presented. Estimation of the net binding forces among the bound solitons gives an explanation for the interaction patterns if the coherence of the bound state is limited. Our investigation theoretically reveals the existence of the bright bound solitons in the BECs and analyzes their complex interactions.  相似文献

Holographic dark (bright) screening solitons are predicted in one dimension for a series circuit consisting of two photorefractive crystals connected electronically by electrode leads in a chain with a voltage source. Each crystal can support a holographic screening soliton. The two solitons are known collectively as a separate holographic screening soliton pair with three types: bright--bright, bright--dark and dark--dark. The numerical results show that the two solitons in a soliton pair can affect each other through a light-induced current and their coupling can affect their spatial profiles under the limit in which the optical wave has a spatial extent much less than the width of the crystal.  相似文献

We study the stability of matter-wave bright solitons for a dipolar Bose-Einstein condensate in a harmonic potential which is transversely attractive and longitudinally expulsive. We analyze the physics of bright solitons in 2D dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates. These solitons, which are not possible in short-range interacting gases, constitute the first realistic proposal of fully mobile stable 2D solitons in ultracold gases. In particular, we discuss the necessary conditions for the existence of stable 2D bright solitary waves by means of a 3D analysis of the lowest-lying excitations. We show that the anisotropy of the dipolar potential is crucial, since sufficiently large dipolar interactions can destabilize the 2D soliton. Additionally, we study the scattering of solitary waves, which, contrary to the contact-interacting case, is inelastic and could lead to fusion of the waves. Finally, the experimental possibilities for observability are discussed.  相似文献

对于二阶孤子脉冲对,通过数值求解非线性Schrdinger方程,得到了二阶孤子在光纤中传输时的衰变规律.由于脉冲之间的相互作用,原来的二阶孤子衰变为两个分离的基孤子.二阶孤子对同位相时,相互作用为“吸引”,衰变后峰值小的基孤子位于内侧,二阶孤子对反位相时,相互作用为“排斥”,衰变后峰值小的基孤子位于外侧.两个二阶孤子脉冲间隔越小,反位相时,在相同传输距离处,衰变产生的两个基孤子的分离程度越大.  相似文献

We consider the dynamics of bright solitons in one dimensional Bose Einstein condensate with spin orbit coupling and trapped by an optical lattice potential. We mainly focus on the effects of the spin orbit coupling, Rabi coupling and detuning parameter on the soliton dynamics. The solution of the coupled Gross Pitaevskii equation is performed with the help of the variational and numerical methods for various parameters. The population imbalance and the center of mass motion show different dynamic behaviors depending on the parameters. We also obtain traveling bright solitons related with a given finite initial momentum.  相似文献

Dark (bright) steady-state spatial solitons are predicted in one dimension for a series circuit consisting of two two-photon photorefractive crystals of which at least one must be photovoltaic. Each crystal can support a spatial soliton. The two solitons are known collectively as separate spatial soliton pairs with three types: dark-dark, bright-dark and bright-bright. In the limit in which the optical wave has a spatial extent much less than the width of the crystal, the dark soliton can affect the other soliton by light-induced current, but the bright soliton cannot affect the other soliton in the soliton pair.  相似文献

We demonstrate the coherent interactions of lattice soliton trains, including in-band solitons (IBSs) and gap soliton trains (GSTs), in optically induced two-dimensional photonic lattices with self-defocusing nonlinearity. It is revealed that the $\pi$-staggered phase structures of the lattice soliton trains will lead to anomalous interactions. Solely by changing their initial separations, the transition between attractive and repulsive interaction forces or reversion of the energy transfer can be obtained. The `negative refraction' effect of the soliton trains on the interaction is also discussed. Moreover, two interacting IBSs can merge into one GST when attraction or energy transfer happens.  相似文献

通过数值模拟对飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用进行了研究,并且同飞秒亮孤子和皮秒暗孤子分别进行了比较,结果表明:同飞秒亮孤子相比,飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用比较小,前者表现为相互吸引、碰撞、合二为一,然后相互排斥,不具有周期性;而后者从一开始就相互排斥,且这种排斥作用较亮孤子来说相当微弱,同样也不具有周期性。此外,数值模拟的结果还表明,飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用同皮秒尺度下暗孤子间的相互作用基本一致,并且通过计算表明,飞秒暗孤子间的相互作用在一定范围内仍可利用皮秒尺度下暗孤子间相互作用的经验公式。但是,数值模拟结果显示,两孤子的初始间距越小,由经验公式计算结果所带来的误差就越大。  相似文献

We present three families of soliton solutions to the generalized (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with distributed coefficients. We investigate the dynamics of these solitons in nonlinear optics with some selected parameters. Different shapes of bright solitons, a train of bright solitons and dark solitons are observed. 在圆柱坐标系下,利用分离变量的方法求得了非局域克尔介质中拉盖尔-高斯光束传输的精确解析解。当输入功率等于临界功率时,光束演变为拉盖尔-高斯涡旋光孤子,是一种旋转的多环光孤子;当输入功率接近于临界功率时,光束在传输过程中形成拉盖尔-高斯涡旋呼吸子。结果表明,低阶的拉盖尔-高斯孤子呈现中空多峰亮环分布。  相似文献
