In this article, a class of weak Orlicz function spaces is defined and their basic properties are discused. In particular, for the sequences in weak Orlicz space, we establish several basic convergence theorems including bounded convergence theorem, control convergence theorem and Vitali-type convergence theorem and so on. Moreover, the conditional compactness of its subsets is also discussed.  相似文献

A local convergence theorem and five semi-local convergence theorems of the secant method are listed in this paper.For every convergence theorem,a convergence ball is respectively introduced,where the hypothesis conditions of the corresponding theorem can be satisfied.Since all of these convergence balls have the same center x~*,they can be viewed as a homocentric ball. Convergence theorems are sorted by the different sizes of various radii of this homocentric ball, and the sorted sequence represents the degree of weakness on the conditions of convergence theorems.  相似文献

We offer a new approach to deal with the pointwise convergence of FourierLaplace series on the unit sphere of even-dimensional Euclidean spaces. By using spherical monogenics defined through the generalized Cauchy-Riemann operator, we obtain the spherical monogenic expansions of square integrable functions on the unit sphere. Based on the generalization of Fueter's theorem inducing monogenic functions from holomorphic functions in the complex plane and the classical Carleson's theorem, a pointwise convergence theorem on the new expansion is proved. The result is a generalization of Carleson's theorem to the higher dimensional Euclidean spaces. The approach is simpler than those by using special functions, which may have the advantage to induce the singular integral approach for pointwise convergence problems on the spheres.  相似文献

Under the hypotheses that the second-order and third-order derivatives of a function are bounded, an estimate of the radius of the convergence ball of Ostrowski-Traub’s method is obtained. An error analysis is given which matches the convergence order of the method. Finally, two examples are provided to show applications of our theorem.  相似文献

In this paper, a new weak condition for the convergence of secant method to solve the systems of nonlinear equations is proposed. A convergence ball with the center x0 is replaced by that with xl, the first approximation generated by the secant method with the initial data x-1 and x0. Under the bounded conditions of the divided difference, a convergence theorem is obtained and two examples to illustrate the weakness of convergence conditions are provided. Moreover, the secant method is applied to a system of nonlinear equations to demonstrate the viability and effectiveness of the results in the paper.  相似文献

A theorem on the convergence of a particular sequence of bandlimited functions is proved.Asits applications,the convergence of a speed up error energy reduction algorithm for extrapolatingbandlimited functions in noiseless cases and the convergence of an iterative algorithm to obtainestimations of bandlimited functions in noise cases are derived.Both algorithms are the improvedversions of the Papoulis-Gercheberg algorithm.  相似文献

The central limit theorem of martingales is the fundamental tool for studying the convergence of stochastic processes, especially stochastic integrals and differential equations. In this paper, the central limit theorem and the functional central limit theorem are obtained for martingale-like random variables under the sub-linear expectation. As applications, the Lindeberg's central limit theorem is obtained for independent but not necessarily identically distributed random variables, and a new proof of the Lévy characterization of a GBrownian motion without using stochastic calculus is given. For proving the results, Rosenthal's inequality and the exponential inequality for the martingale-like random variables are established.  相似文献

This paper presents a new trust-region algorithm for n-dimension nonlinear optimiza-tion subject to m nonlinear inequality constraints.Equivalent KKT conditions are derived,which is the basis for constructing the new algorithm.Global convergence of the algorithun to a first-order KKT point is eatablished under mild conditions on the trial steps.local quadratic convergence theorem is provcd for nondegenerate minimizer point.Numerical expcriment is prcsented to show the effectiveness of our approach.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a theorem of convergence to a point for descent minimization methods. When the objective function is differentiable, the convergence point is a stationary point. The theorem, however, is applicable also to nondifferentiable functions. This theorem is then applied to prove convergence of some nongradient algorithms.  相似文献

We study the rate of convergence of a sequence of linear operators that converges pointwise to a linear operator. Our main interest is in characterizing the slowest type of pointwise convergence possible. This is a continuation of the paper Deutsch and Hundal (2010) [14]. The main result is a “lethargy” theorem (Theorem 3.3) which gives useful conditions that guarantee arbitrarily slow convergence. In the particular case when the sequence of linear operators is generated by the powers of a single linear operator, we obtain a “dichotomy” theorem, which states the surprising result that either there is linear (fast) convergence or arbitrarily slow convergence; no other type of convergence is possible. The dichotomy theorem is applied to generalize and sharpen: (1) the von Neumann–Halperin cyclic projections theorem, (2) the rate of convergence for intermittently (i.e., “almost” randomly) ordered projections, and (3) a theorem of Xu and Zikatanov.  相似文献
