It is now well known that the K-theory of a Waldhausen category depends on more than just its (triangulated) homotopy category (Invent. Math. 150 (2002) 111). The purpose of this note is to show that the K-theory spectrum of a (good) Waldhausen category is completely determined by its Dwyer-Kan simplicial localization, without any additional structure. As the simplicial localization is a refined version of the homotopy category which also determines the triangulated structure, our result is a possible answer to the general question: “To which extent K-theory is not an invariant of triangulated derived categories? ”  相似文献

Let A be a graded algebra. It is shown that the derived category of dg modules over A (viewed as a dg algebra with trivial differential) is a triangulated hull of a certain orbit category of the derived category of graded A-modules. This is applied to study derived categories of graded gentle one-cycle algebras.  相似文献

Given a finite quiver without oriented cycles, we describe a family of algebras whose module category has the same derived category as that of the quiver algebra. This is done in the more general setting oft-structures in triangulated categories. A completeness result is shown for Dynkin quivers, thus reproving a result of Happel [H].  相似文献

Staggered t-structures are a class of t-structures on derived categories of equivariant coherent sheaves. In this Note, we show that the derived category of coherent sheaves on a partial flag variety, equivariant for a Borel subgroup, admits a staggered t-structure with the property that all objects in its heart have finite length. As a consequence, we obtain a basis for its equivariant K-theory consisting of simple staggered sheaves. To cite this article: P.N. Achar, D.S. Sage, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. We endow the homotopy category of well generated (pretriangulated) dg categories with a tensor product satisfying a universal property. The resulting monoidal structure is symmetric and closed with respect to the cocontinuous RHom of dg categories (in the sense of Toën [32]). We give a construction of the tensor product in terms of localisations of dg derived categories, making use of the enhanced derived Gabriel-Popescu theorem [27]. Given a regular cardinal α, we define and construct a tensor product of homotopically α-cocomplete dg categories and prove that the well generated tensor product of α-continuous derived dg categories (in the sense of [27]) is the α-continuous dg derived category of the homotopically α-cocomplete tensor product. In particular, this shows that the tensor product of well generated dg categories preserves α-compactness.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of homological systems Θ for triangulated categories. Homological systems generalize, on one hand, the notion of stratifying systems in module categories, and on the other hand, the notion of exceptional sequences in triangulated categories. We prove that, attached to the homological system Θ, there are two standardly stratified algebras A and B, which are derived equivalent. Furthermore, it is proved that the category \(\mathfrak {F}({\Theta }),\) of the Θ-filtered objects in a triangulated category \(\mathcal {T},\) admits in a very natural way a structure of an exact category, and then there are exact equivalences between the exact category \(\mathfrak {F}({\Theta })\) and the exact categories of the Δ-good modules associated to the standardly stratified algebras A and B. Some of the obtained results can be seen also under the light of the cotorsion pairs in the sense of Iyama-Nakaoka-Yoshino (see 6.6 and 6.7 ). We recall that cotorsion pairs are studied extensively in relation with cluster tilting categories, t-structures and co-t-structures.  相似文献

An abelian category with arbitrary coproducts and a small projective generator is equivalent to a module category (Mitchell (1964) [17]). A tilting object in an abelian category is a natural generalization of a small projective generator. Moreover, any abelian category with a tilting object admits arbitrary coproducts (Colpi et al. (2007) [8]). It naturally arises the question when an abelian category with a tilting object is equivalent to a module category. By Colpi et al. (2007) [8], the problem simplifies in understanding when, given an associative ring R and a faithful torsion pair (X,Y) in the category of right R-modules, the heartH(X,Y)of the t-structure associated with (X,Y) is equivalent to a category of modules. In this paper, we give a complete answer to this question, proving necessary and sufficient conditions on (X,Y) for H(X,Y) to be equivalent to a module category. We analyze in detail the case when R is right artinian.  相似文献

First, we show that a compact object C in a triangulated category, which satisfies suitable conditions, induces a t-structure. Second, in an abelian category we show that a complex P· of small projective objects of term length two, which satisfies suitable conditions, induces a torsion theory. In the case of module categories, using a torsion theory, we give equivalent conditions for P· to be a tilting complex. Finally, in the case of artin algebras, we give a one-to-one correspondence between tilting complexes of term length two and torsion theories with certain conditions.  相似文献

Curved A-algebras appear in nature as deformations of dg algebras. We develop the basic theory of curved A-algebras and, in particular, curved dg algebras. We investigate their link with a suitable class of dg coalgebras via the bar construction and produce Quillen model structures on their module categories. We define the analogue of the relative derived category for a curved dg algebra.  相似文献

We prove in this paper that for a quasi-compact and semi-separated (nonnecessarily noetherian) scheme X, the derived category of quasi-coherent sheaves over X, D(Aqc(X)), is a stable homotopy category in the sense of Hovey, Palmieri and Strickland, answering a question posed by Strickland. Moreover we show that it is unital and algebraic. We also prove that for a noetherian semi-separated formal scheme X, its derived category of sheaves of modules with quasi-coherent torsion homologies Dqct(X) is a stable homotopy category. It is algebraic but if the formal scheme is not a usual scheme, it is not unital, therefore its abstract nature differs essentially from that of the derived category Dqc(X) (which is equivalent to D(Aqc(X))) in the case of a usual scheme.  相似文献

A finite poset X carries a natural structure of a topological space. Fix a field k, and denote by Db(X) the bounded derived category of sheaves of finite dimensional k-vector spaces over X. Two posets X and Y are said to be derived equivalent if Db(X) and Db(Y) are equivalent as triangulated categories. We give explicit combinatorial properties of X which are invariant under derived equivalence; among them are the number of points, the Z-congruency class of the incidence matrix, and the Betti numbers. We also show that taking opposites and products preserves derived equivalence. For any closed subset YX, we construct a strongly exceptional collection in Db(X) and use it to show an equivalence Db(X)?Db(A) for a finite dimensional algebra A (depending on Y). We give conditions on X and Y under which A becomes an incidence algebra of a poset. We deduce that a lexicographic sum of a collection of posets along a bipartite graph S is derived equivalent to the lexicographic sum of the same collection along the opposite .This construction produces many new derived equivalences of posets and generalizes other well-known ones.As a corollary we show that the derived equivalence class of an ordinal sum of two posets does not depend on the order of summands. We give an example that this is not true for three summands.  相似文献

This note elaborates on Th. Voronov’s construction [Th. Voronov, Higher derived brackets and homotopy algebras, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 202 (1-3) (2005) 133-153; Th. Voronov, Higher derived brackets for arbitrary derivations, Travaux Math. XVI (2005) 163-186] of L-structures via higher derived brackets with a Maurer-Cartan element. It is shown that gauge equivalent Maurer-Cartan elements induce L-isomorphic structures. Applications in symplectic, Poisson and Dirac geometry are discussed.  相似文献

The calculation of the iterated loop functors and their left derived functors on the category of unstable modules over the Steenrod algebra is a non-trivial problem; Singer constructed an explicit and functorial chain complex to calculate these functors. The results of Singer are analysed to give information on the behaviour of these functors with respect to the nilpotent filtration of the category of unstable modules. We show that, if an unstable module M supports an action of an unstable algebra K, then the derived functors of the iterated loop functors applied to M support actions of iterated doubles of K. This allows the finiteness results of Henn on unstable modules which support actions of unstable algebras to be applied to deduce structural results on the derived functors of iterated loops on such modules.  相似文献

We use Janelidze's Categorical Galois Theory to extend Brown and Ellis's higher Hopf formulae for homology of groups to arbitrary semi-abelian monadic categories. Given such a category A and a chosen Birkhoff subcategory B of A, thus we describe the Barr-Beck derived functors of the reflector of A onto B in terms of centralization of higher extensions. In case A is the category Gp of all groups and B is the category Ab of all abelian groups, this yields a new proof for Brown and Ellis's formulae. We also give explicit formulae in the cases of groups vs. k-nilpotent groups, groups vs. k-solvable groups and precrossed modules vs. crossed modules.  相似文献

Recollements and tilting objects   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We study connections between recollements of the derived category D(Mod R) of a ring R and tilting theory. We first provide constructions of tilting objects from given recollements, recovering several different results from the literature. Secondly, we show how to construct a recollement from a tilting module of projective dimension one. By Nicolás and Saorín (2009) [31], every recollement of D(Mod R) is associated to a differential graded homological epimorphism λ:RS. We will focus on the case where λ is a homological ring epimorphism or even a universal localization. Our results will be employed in a forthcoming paper in order to investigate stratifications of D(Mod R).  相似文献

We prove that the exactness of direct limits in an abelian category with products and an injective cogenerator J is equivalent to a condition on J which is well-known to characterize pure-injectivity in module categories, and we describe an application of this result to the tilting theory. We derive our result as a consequence of a more general characterization of when inverse limits in the Eilenberg–Moore category of a monad on the category of sets preserve regular epimorphisms.  相似文献

We answer a question of Blumberg, Cohen and Teleman, showing that the Chas–Sullivan loop homology is the Hochschild cohomology of any object in the rational string topology category of a compact, simply connected, Lie group G. Moreover, we show that the answer follows from the classification of the localizing subcategories of the derived category of chains on the based loops of G, which we achieve using the stratification machinery of Benson, Iyengar and Krause. For integral coefficients we get similar results for G a simply-connected special unitary group.  相似文献
