The study of maximal-primary irreducible ideals in a commutative graded connected Noetherian algebra over a field is in principle equivalent to the study of the corresponding quotient algebras. Such algebras are Poincaré duality algebras. A prototype for such an algebra is the cohomology with field coefficients of a closed oriented manifold. Topological constructions on closed manifolds often lead to algebraic constructions on Poincaré duality algebras and therefore also on maximal-primary irreducible ideals. It is the purpose of this note to examine several of these and develop some of their basic properties.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the Composition-Diamond lemma for associative algebras with multiple linear operators. As applications, we obtain Gröbner-Shirshov bases of free Rota-Baxter algebra, free λ-differential algebra and free λ-differential Rota-Baxter algebra, respectively. In particular, linear bases of these three free algebras are respectively obtained, which are essentially the same or similar to the recent results obtained by K. Ebrahimi-Fard-L. Guo, and L. Guo-W. Keigher by using other methods.  相似文献

Given two positive integers e and s we consider Gorenstein Artinian local rings R   whose maximal ideal mm satisfies ms≠0=ms+1ms0=ms+1 and rankR/m(m/m2)=erankR/m(m/m2)=e. We say that R is a compressed Gorenstein local ring   when it has maximal length among such rings. It is known that generic Gorenstein Artinian algebras are compressed. If s≠3s3, we prove that the Poincaré series of all finitely generated modules over a compressed Gorenstein local ring are rational, sharing a common denominator. A formula for the denominator is given. When s is even this formula depends only on the integers e and s  . Note that for s=3s=3 examples of compressed Gorenstein local rings with transcendental Poincaré series exist, due to Bøgvad.  相似文献

Let A be a standard graded Artinian K-algebra, with char K=0. We prove the following.
1.
A has the Weak Lefschetz Property (resp. Strong Lefschetz Property) if and only if has the Weak Lefschetz Property (resp. Strong Lefschetz Property) for some linear form z of A.
2.
If A is Gorenstein, then A has the Strong Lefschetz Property if and only if there exists a linear form z of A such that all central simple modules of (A,z) have the Strong Lefschetz Property.
As an application of these theorems, we give some new classes of Artinian complete intersections with the Strong Lefschetz Property.  相似文献

In the present paper, we prove that for an n-dimensional compact orbifold with an s-homological orientation, the duality of the ws-singular cohomology group and the t-singular homology group holds. The key tools are “the t-modification of the cap product” for giving the duality homomorphism and “the Convex Suborbifold Theorem” for extending the local duality isomorphism to the global one. The duality theorem proved in the present paper is a naturally required consequence of the preceding works of the authors.  相似文献

We characterise the class of one-cogenerated Pfaffian ideals whose natural generators form a Gröbner basis with respect to any anti-diagonal term order. We describe their initial ideals as well as the associated simplicial complexes, which turn out to be shellable and thus Cohen-Macaulay. We also provide a formula for computing their multiplicity.  相似文献

Let denote the rational normal curve of order d. Its homogeneous defining ideal admits an SL2-stable filtration J2J4⊆…⊆IC by sub-ideals such that the saturation of each J2q equals IC. Hence, one can associate to d a sequence of integers (α1,α2,…) which encodes the degrees in which the successive inclusions in this filtration become trivial. In this paper we establish several lower and upper bounds on the αq, using inter alia the methods of classical invariant theory.  相似文献

The context for this paper is a class of distributive lattice expansions, called double quasioperator algebras (DQAs). The distinctive feature of these algebras is that their operations preserve or reverse both join and meet in each coordinate. Algebras of this type provide algebraic semantics for certain non-classical propositional logics. In particular, MV-algebras, which model the ?ukasiewicz infinite-valued logic, are DQAs.Varieties of DQAs are here studied through their canonical extensions. A variety of this type having additional operations of arity at least 2 may fail to be canonical; it is already known, for example, that the variety of MV-algebras is not. Non-canonicity occurs when basic operations have two distinct canonical extensions and both are necessary to capture the structure of the original algebra. This obstruction to canonicity is different in nature from that customarily found in other settings. A generalized notion of canonicity is introduced which is shown to circumvent the problem. In addition, generalized canonicity allows one to capture on the canonical extensions of DQAs the algebraic operations in such a way that the laws that these obey may be translated into first-order conditions on suitable frames. This correspondence may be seen as the algebraic component of duality, in a way which is made precise. In many cases of interest, binary residuated operations are present. An operation h which, coordinatewise, preserves ∨ and 0 lifts to an operation which is residuated, even when h is not. If h also preserves binary meet then the upper adjoints behave in a functional way on the frames.  相似文献

In this paper, we define a Grothendieck module associated to a Noetherian ring A. This structure is designed to encode relations between A-modules which can be responsible for the relations among Betti numbers and therefore rationality of the Poincaré series. We will define the Grothendieck module, demonstrate that the condition of being torsion in the Grothendieck module implies rationality of the Poincaré series, and provide examples. The paper concludes with an example which demonstrates that the condition of being torsion in the Grothendieck module is strictly stronger than having rational Poincaré series.  相似文献

In the article, we study the structure of Galois coverings of self-injective artin algebras with infinite cyclic Galois groups. In particular, we characterize all basic, connected, self-injective artin algebras having Galois coverings by the repetitive algebras of basic connected artin algebras and with the Galois groups generated by positive automorphisms of the repetitive algebras.  相似文献

Let A be a Noetherian local ring with the maximal ideal m and an m-primary ideal J. Let S=?n≥0Sn be a finitely generated standard graded algebra over A. Set S+=?n>0Sn. Denote by FJ(S)=?n≥0→(Sn/JSn) the fiber cone of S with respect to J. The paper characterizes the multiplicity and the Cohen-Macaulayness of FJ(S) in terms of minimal reductions of S+.  相似文献

Let X be a topological space. The homology of the iterated loop space HΩnX is an algebra over the homology of the framed n-disks operad HfDn [E. Getzler, Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras and two-dimensional topological field theories, Comm. Math. Phys. 159 (2) (1994) 265-285; P. Salvatore, N. Wahl, Framed discs operads and Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras, Q. J. Math. 54 (2) (2003) 213-231]. We explicitly determine this HfDn-algebra structure on H(ΩnX;Q). We show that the action of H(SO(n)) on the iterated loop space HΩnX is related to the J-homomorphism and that the BV-operator on H(Ω2X) vanishes on spherical classes only in characteristic other than 2.  相似文献

The notion of ε-multiplicity was originally defined by Ulrich and Validashti as a limsup and they used it to detect integral dependence of modules. It is important to know if it can be realized as a limit. In this article we show that the relative ε-multiplicity of reduced standard graded algebras over an excellent local ring exists as a limit. We also obtain some important special cases of Cutkosky's results concerning ε-multiplicity, as corollaries of our main theorem.  相似文献

The Betti-numbers of a graded ideal I in a polynomial ring and the Betti-numbers of its generic initial ideal Gin(I) are compared. In characteristic zero it is shown that if these Betti-numbers coincide in some homological degree, then they coincide in all higher homological degrees. We also compare the Betti-numbers of componentwise linear ideals which are contained in each other and have the same Hilbert polynomial.  相似文献

We investigate the relationship between differential graded algebras (dgas) and topological ring spectra. Every dga C gives rise to an Eilenberg-Mac Lane ring spectrum denoted HC. If HC and HD are weakly equivalent, then we say C and D are topologically equivalent. Quasi-isomorphic dgas are topologically equivalent, but we produce explicit counterexamples of the converse. We also develop an associated notion of topological Morita equivalence using a homotopical version of tilting.  相似文献
