A Rank Theorem of Operators between Banach Spaces

Suppose that E and F are two Banach spaces and that B(E, F) is the space of all bounded linear operators from E to F. Let T ₀∈B(E, F) with a generalized inverse T ₀ ⁺∈B(F, E). This paper shows that, for every T∈B(E, F) with ‖T ₀ ⁺ (T−T ₀)‖<1, B ≡ (I + T ₀ ⁺(T−T ₀))⁻¹ T ₀ ⁺ is a generalized inverse of T if and only if (I−T ₀ ⁺ T ₀)N(T) = N(T ₀), where N(·) stands for the null space of the operator inside the parenthesis. This result improves a useful theorem of Nashed and Cheng and further shows that a lemma given by Nashed and Cheng is valid in the case where T ₀ is a semi-Fredholm operator but not in general.     

Perturbations of Moore–Penrose Metric Generalized Inverses of Linear Operators in Banach Spaces

In this paper,the perturbations of the Moore–Penrose metric generalized inverses of linear operators in Banach spaces are described.The Moore–Penrose metric generalized inverse is homogeneous and nonlinear in general,and the proofs of our results are different from linear generalized inverses.By using the quasi-additivity of Moore–Penrose metric generalized inverse and the theorem of generalized orthogonal decomposition,we show some error estimates of perturbations for the singlevalued Moore–Penrose metric generalized inverses of bounded linear operators.Furthermore,by means of the continuity of the metric projection operator and the quasi-additivity of Moore–Penrose metric generalized inverse,an expression for Moore–Penrose metric generalized inverse is given.     

Continuous homogeneous selections of set-valued metric generalized inverses of linear operators in Banach spaces

In this paper,continuous homogeneous selections for the set-valued metric generalized inverses T of linear operators T in Banach spaces are investigated by means of the methods of geometry of Banach spaces.Necessary and sufficient conditions for bounded linear operators T to have continuous homogeneous selections for the set-valued metric generalized inverses T are given.The results are an answer to the problem posed by Nashed and Votruba.     

Existence theorems for monotone operators in reflexive Banach spaces

In this paper, we obtain an existence theorem for single-valued monotone operators in a reflexive Banach space. Using this result, we prove a fixed point theorem for nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space and an existence theorem for maximal monotone operators in a Banach space. Generalized Browder's and Weyl's theorems for Banach space operators

We find necessary and sufficient conditions for a Banach space operator T to satisfy the generalized Browder's theorem. We also prove that the spectral mapping theorem holds for the Drazin spectrum and for analytic functions on an open neighborhood of σ(T). As applications, we show that if T is algebraically M-hyponormal, or if T is algebraically paranormal, then the generalized Weyl's theorem holds for f(T), where f∈H((T)), the space of functions analytic on an open neighborhood of σ(T). We also show that if T is reduced by each of its eigenspaces, then the generalized Browder's theorem holds for f(T), for each f∈H(σ(T)).     

Existence theorems for m-accretive operators in Banach spaces

In 1985, the second author proved a surjective result for m-accretive and ?-expansive mappings for uniformly smooth Banach spaces. However, in this case, we have been able to remove the uniform smoothness of the Banach space, without any additional assumption.

关于幂等矩阵秩的一个等式

目的:将复数域上幂等矩阵秩的一个等式推广到除环上.方法:采用广义逆矩阵的理论.结果:得到了除环上的类似等式.结论:复幂等矩阵的某些等式是可以推广到除环上的,并且可以进行必要的改进.     

Closed linear operators between nonarchimedean Banach spaces

In this work we establish some basic properties of closed linear operators between nonarchimedean Banach spaces. As a consequence, we characterize the operators with closed range, and we establish the state diagram for closed linear operators when the underlying spaces satisfy a Hahn-Banach property.     

Generalized integral operators and Schwartz kernel type theorems

In analogy to the classical Schwartz kernel theorem, we show that a large class of linear mappings admits integral kernels in the framework of Colombeau generalized functions. To do this, we introduce new spaces of generalized functions with slow growth and the corresponding adapted linear mappings. Finally, we show that, in some sense, Schwartz' result is contained in our main theorem.     

Distortion theorems for biholomorphic convex mappings in Banach spaces*

In this article, we give some distortion theorems for biholomorphic convex mappings in Banach spaces and Hilbert spaces. In particular, we prove that the conjecture of Hamada and Kohr is true in Banach spaces.
