We consider interlayer magnetic coupling in a superlattice and/or overlayer in the case when spacer layer has the tendency towards formation of the helical spin density wave. Within phenomenological Landau-Ginzburg approach we show that the mutual interplay of the SDW and interlayer coupling spin polarization can lead to the helical interlayer coupling. When surface anisotropy is accounted for the effective interaction mimics interlayer biquadratic coupling. 相似文献

A new absolute way to deduce the interlayer exchange coupling via in situ ferromagnetic resonance measurements in Cu/Ni/Cu/Ni/Cu(0 0 1) films is presented. The signal of the first magnetic layer before and after the deposition of the second one is compared and the exchange coupling is extracted from the shift of the resonance position in the coupled system with respect to the Cu/Ni bilayer. 相似文献

The question of the emergence of a preferred basis which is generally understood as that basis in which the reduced density
matrix is driven to a diagonal (classically interpretable) form via environment induced decoherence is addressed. The exact
solutions of the Caldeira-Leggett Master Equation are analyzed for a free particle and a harmonic oscillator system. In both
cases, we see that the reduced density matrix is driven diagonal in the energy basis, which is momentum for the free particle
and the number states for the harmonic oscillator. This seems to single out the energy basis as the preferred basis which
is contrary to the general notion that it is the position basis which is selected since the coupling to the environment is

We study the extended Bose-Hubbard model describing an ultracold gas of dipolar molecules in an optical lattice, taking into account all on-site and nearest-neighbor interactions, including occupation-dependent tunneling and pair tunneling terms. Using exact diagonalization and the multiscale entanglement renormalization ansatz, we show that these terms can destroy insulating phases and lead to novel quantum phases. These considerable changes of the phase diagram have to be taken into account in upcoming experiments with dipolar molecules. 相似文献

Orbital and asymptotic stability for 1-soliton solutions of the Toda lattice equations as well as for small solitary waves
of the FPU lattice equations are established in the energy space. Unlike analogous Hamiltonian PDEs, the lattice equations
do not conserve the adjoint momentum. In fact, the Toda lattice equation is a bidirectional model that does not fit in with
the existing theory for the Hamiltonian systems by Grillakis, Shatah and Strauss. To prove stability of 1-soliton solutions,
we split a solution around a 1-soliton into a small solution that moves more slowly than the main solitary wave and an exponentially
localized part. We apply a decay estimate for solutions to a linearized Toda equation which has been recently proved by Mizumachi
and Pego to estimate the localized part. We improve the asymptotic stability results for FPU lattices in a weighted space

We extend the BCS paring model with equally spaced energy levels to a general one-dimensional spin-1/2 Heisenberg model The two well-known symmetries of the Heisenberg model, i.e. permutational and spin-inversion symmetries, no longer exist. However, when jointing these two operations together, we find a new symmetry of energy spectrum between its subspace n and subspace L - n of the Fock space. A rigorous proof is presented. 相似文献

The dipole-dipole interaction between macroscopic grains in a plasma is calculated. The presence of a plasma medium shields the Coulomb grain interactions as well as necessitates that nonzero temperature effects be accounted for. The resulting electrostatic but not so much the Helmholtz free energy shows overshooting when equal strength parallel dipoles align with or are perpendicular to the line joining their centers. More striking is the appearance of a short range attractive well interaction for angles near pi/3. The contribution of the dipole-dipole to the total interaction in so-called plasma crystals has become increasingly recognized. 相似文献

We present calculations for dipolar surface spin waves in antiferromagnets at low temperatures. We calculate bulk and surface spin wave spectra for long wavelengths in the magnetostatic mode region. The different phases in an applied field along the easy axis are discussed with special emphasis on the spin flop- and paramagnetic phase. Nonreciprocal features of the surface spin waves are discussed. Numerical applications for GdAlO3 are given. 相似文献

We introduce a discrete model describing
the motion of a zigzag domain
wall in a disordered ferromagnet with in-plane
magnetization, driven by an external magnetic field. The main
ingredients are dipolar interactions and anisotropy.
We investigate the dynamic hysteresis by analyzing
the effects of external field frequency
on the coercive field by Monte Carlo
simulations. Our results are in
good agreement with experiments on
Fe/GaAs films reported in literature, and
we conclude that dynamic hysteresis
in this case can be explained by a single propagating domain

The Hamiltonian of a model system has been diagonalized numericaUy to obtain the eigenstates and eigenenergies. Three types of permutation symmetries: the antisymmetric, the mixed symmetric and the symmetric symmetries have been covered. The dynamical parameters (i.e., the particle mass and the particle-particle interaction) are taken appropriately for a particles, however a series ,of qualitative features are revealed to be iden tical with those of quantum dot electronic systems in semiconductor heterojunctions. A novel three-dimensional NMR experiment is reported that allows the observation of correlations between amide and other protons via residual dipolar couplings in partially oriented proteins. The experiment is designed to permit quantitative measurement of the magnitude of proton–proton residual dipolar couplings in larger molecules and at higher degree of alignments. Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) is a well-known method to analyze the flow of acoustic and vibration energy in a complex structure. This study investigates the application of the corrected SEA model in a non-reverberant acoustic space where the direct field component from the sound source dominates the total sound field rather than a diffuse field in a reverberant space which the classical SEA model assumption is based on. A corrected SEA model is proposed where the direct field component in the energy is removed and the power injected in the subsystem considers only the remaining power after the loss at first reflection. Measurement was conducted in a box divided into two rooms separated by a partition with an opening where the condition of reverberant and non-reverberant can conveniently be controlled. In the case of a non-reverberant space where acoustic material was installed inside the wall of the experimental box, the signals are corrected by eliminating the direct field component in the measured impulse response. Using the corrected SEA model, comparison of the coupling loss factor (CLF) and damping loss factor (DLF) with the theory shows good agreement. 相似文献

Equilibrium micromagnetic structures in a bilayer system composed of two thin cobalt films separated by a non magnetic spacer
are systematically analysed. These 2D magnetization distributions are obtained by numerical computations according to different
set of magnetic and geometric parameters. The coupling effect due to the dipolar long range interaction (or stray-field effect)
between the two Co layers is studied through the evolution of the magnetic pattern in the stack with or without an applied
field and compared to a continuous film of same thickness. Special attention is paid to the hysteresis process in a bilayer.
Even though the general aspect of the magnetization distribution looks like a Landau-Lifshitz structure, the absence of any
core in the vortex of the magnetic structure is analysed in relation to a possible disappearence of (topological) hysteresis.
