关于序列覆盖s映射

本文定义了两类序列覆盖映射，讨论了度晴空间的序列覆盖ｓ映象，特别地，我们证明了空间Ｘ具有点可数弱当且仅当Ｘ是度量空间的１序列覆盖的商ｓ映象，这回答了１９７０年Ｔ．Ｈｏｓｈｉｎａ提出了一个问题。     

度量空间的紧覆盖s映射

本文引入了紧有限分解网的概念,给出度量空间的紧覆盖s象的内在刻画并由此导出度量空间s映射的系列结论,部分地回答了Michael-Nagami问题.     

关于局部可数网与ss映射

本文建立了度量空间在几类序列覆盖ss映射下象空间的特征,讨论了局部可数集族与局部可数基（弱基）之间的相互关系,特别地证明了几类具有特定性质的局部可数网的正则空间与度量空间的几类序列覆盖ss映象之间相互等价,回答了Tanaka提出的一个问题．     

关于序列覆盖s映射的注记

本文分别给出局部可分度量空间的强序列覆盖（1序列覆盖,2序列覆盖）。映象的新刻画,还分别给出拓扑空间是局部可分度量空间的序列覆盖（紧覆盖）s映象的一个充分条件．     

局部可分度量空间的序列覆盖局部可数象

本文给出了局部可分度量空间的序列复盖局部可数象的刻画。     

序列覆盖的闭映射保持可度量性

设f:X→Y是连续的满映射. f称为序列覆盖映射,若{y})是Y中的收敛序列,则存在X中的收敛序列{xn},使得每一xn∈f-1(yn);f称为1序列覆盖映射,若对于每-y∈Y,存在x∈f-1(y),使得如果{yn}是Y中收敛于点y的序列,则有X中收敛于点x的序列{xn},使得每一xn∈f-1(yn).本文研究度量空间序列覆盖的闭映射之构造,否定地回答了Topology and its Applications上提出的一个问题.     

关于紧覆盖π映射

本文利用紧有限分解覆盖的概念，给出了度量空间的紧覆盖π象以刻划，并证明了g可度量化空间是度量空间的紧覆盖紧映象．     

弱基与1序列覆盖映射

本文利用1序列覆盖映射的概念,得到了与弱基相关的几个映射定理,改进 了Tanaka和刘川等人的若干结论.

A note on closed images of locally compact metric spaces

Summary A decomposition theorem about closed images of locally compact metric spaces is discussed. It is shown that a space is a closed image of a locally compact metric space if and only if it is a regular Fréchet space with a point-countable k-network, and each of its closed first-countable subset is locally compact.     

On weak compactness and countable weak compactness in fixed point theory

We prove that weak compactness and countable weak compactness in metric spaces are not equivalent. However, if the metric space has normal structure, they are equivalent. It follows that some fixed point theorems proved recently are consequences of a classical theorem of Kirk.

     

Densely Continuous Forms in Vietoris Hyperspaces

For countably paracompact normal spaces X and locally compact separable metric spaces Y, a characterization is given for the closure of the set of densely continuous forms from X to Y in the hyperspace of nonempty closed subsets of X × Y under the Vietoris topology. This shows that for such X having no isolated points, every closed subset of X × R that is dense over X can be Vietoris approximated by a semicontinuous function on X.     

On countable choice and sequential spaces

Under the axiom of choice, every first countable space is a Fréchet‐Urysohn space. Although, in its absence even ? may fail to be a sequential space. Our goal in this paper is to discuss under which set‐theoretic conditions some topological classes, such as the first countable spaces, the metric spaces, or the subspaces of ?, are classes of Fréchet‐Urysohn or sequential spaces. In this context, it is seen that there are metric spaces which are not sequential spaces. This fact raises the question of knowing if the completion of a metric space exists and it is unique. The answer depends on the definition of completion. Among other results it is shown that: every first countable space is a sequential space if and only if the axiom of countable choice holds, the sequential closure is idempotent in ? if and only if the axiom of countable choice holds for families of subsets of ?, and every metric space has a unique ‐completion. Paracompact locally Lindelöf spaces and <Emphasis Type=”Italic”>L</Emphasis>-systems

Summary We establish relationships between paracompact locally Lindel&ouml;f spaces and all kinds of spaces with L-systems by means of closed mappings, weakly perfect mappings and quotient mappings. In particular, we obtain some characterizations of paracompact locally Lindel&ouml;f spaces. Interestingly, they are also characterized as weakly perfect inverse images of locally separable metric spaces.
