 基于小信号增益公式、菲涅耳反射公式和判断内腔四程放大高功率激光系统寄生腔增益与损耗大小,研究了2个光路构型相似,寄生腔构成相近的高功率固体激光装置(装置A和装置B)的系统寄生振荡问题:首先指出了系统中存在可能起振的3个寄生腔,然后分析了3个寄生腔中影响损耗的各个因素,根据装置A上的实验结果,判断在仅通过钕玻璃片检偏的情况下,装置B的第3寄生腔存在产生寄生振荡的可能性,最后采取加入一组偏振片的方法抑制寄生振荡。  相似文献

提出了一种新的固体激光器纵模选择技术,分析了该方法的损耗调制原理,用半经典理论建立二模光场竞争的运动方程,并对这种方法的纵模选择能力进行了计算。实验中用KTP和方解石两种双折射晶体都实现了固体激光器的单纵模振荡,用KTP晶体获得了CW 44 mW的单纵模激光输出,稳定性优于±3%。实验表明在半导体激光泵浦的中小功率固体激光器中用该方法选纵模具有稳定、可靠的优点。  相似文献

一、引言激光课程中,激光的频率特性和激光烧孔效应及模竞争这两部分内容都是必需但又较难理解的内容,因而辅助教学的实验就显得尤为重要。通常进行激光频率特性实验的装置是扫描干涉仪。实验方法是让激光束射入扫描干涉仪,在示波屏上观察激光纵模。学生所能做的仅是学习如何使用扫描干涉仪和激光束含有几个纵模的感性认识。学生无法控制这些纵模(频率)以及纵模间隔。实验的质和量相对于纵模(频率)这一概念的重要性来说,显得不够充实。  相似文献

简要介绍了激光纵模分裂的基本原理,研究了腔内含有1个和2个1/4波片时产生Nd∶YAG激光纵模分裂的规律。实验结果表明:在1064nm Nd∶YAG激光的腔内放置一个1/4波片时,每一激光纵模分裂为2个正交的线偏振模,在波片表面垂直于激光光线的条件下,纵模分裂量(即频率差或波长差)恰好等于激光纵模间隔的一半;当在Nd∶YAG激光腔内沿垂直光线方向平行放置2个1/4波片时,也能产生纵模分裂现象,其纵模分裂量取决于2波片快(慢)轴之间的夹角。在0°~ 90°范围内调节角度,可使纵模分裂量在一个激光纵模间隔内线性调谐。实验结果与理论分析相吻合。  相似文献

寄生振荡的存在使得放大器在信号光到达之前消耗了大量的反转粒子数,降低了放大器的激光增益和储能效率,严重地影响了激光放大器的性能,尤其对高功率激光放大器。在理论分析和实验研究的基础上,以Nd∶YAG晶体板条为例,用8条半导体激光阵列对晶体进行双侧抽运,研究了高功率激光放大器的寄生振荡现象,分析了板条晶体寄生振荡产生的原因,并详细比较了晶体在不同的抽运功率和表面处理下的放大效果,得到了2倍的单程放大,当输入能量为140 mJ时,获得了278 mJ的激光输出。  相似文献

本文就多纵模Ar~+激光时间相干性(即相干长度)与输出功率的关系进行了实验观测,得到了相干长度与输出功率关系近似为双曲线函数的实验结果,并根据简单的Smith模型,对多纵模激光的时间相干性与输出功率进行了理论分析与数值计算.研究结果表明,理论与实验结果基本吻合.  相似文献

通过理论分析和实验测量,研究准波导结构染料薄膜中荧光和放大自发辐射(ASE)的泄漏模特性。理论上,考虑薄膜传输损耗及染料吸收损耗对准波导结构中泄漏模特性的影响,通过计算准波导结构中泄漏模的光强分布,给出了相应的物理机制分析;实验上,以棱镜为衬底制备染料薄膜,根据棱镜耦合法测量不同出射角对应的泄漏模的荧光与ASE光谱,验证理论的正确性。此外,采用光束分析仪探测各泄漏模式对应的荧光及ASE的光强分布,研究了准波导结构中ASE的激励特性。结果证明,荧光峰及ASE峰的红移以及泄漏模的激发是界面反射率、薄膜传输损耗及染料吸收损耗等共同作用的结果,而界面反射率对ASE泄漏模激发特性有重要影响,染料的自吸收是荧光峰及ASE峰产生红移的主要因素。  相似文献

通过对RhB/PMMA和Rh6G/PMMA染料薄膜的荧光光谱和放大自发辐射(ASE)光谱的实验测量和理论分析,研究了准波导结构染料薄膜的荧光光谱和ASE光谱特性。实验上采用连续激光和脉冲激光照射,分别测量准波导结构RhB/PMMA和Rh6G/PMMA染料薄膜的荧光光谱和ASE光谱,发现荧光峰和ASE峰随着染料掺杂浓度和薄膜厚度的增加产生红移;理论上考虑准波导结构下薄膜中染料的自吸收效应,类比激光器谐振腔模型,分析低阶导模传输的增益特性,获得了荧光光谱与ASE光谱中荧光峰和ASE峰对应波长与染料掺杂浓度的关系,数值计算与实验测量相吻合。结果表明,准波导结构下薄膜中染料自吸收效应导致荧光峰及ASE峰发生红移,改变染料掺杂浓度,可以在较大调谐范围实现ASE。  相似文献

A 1040 nm tapered laser with tapered distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) grating is designed and fabricated. By designing the grating with tapered layout, the tapered DBR grating exhibits the scattering effect on side backward-traveling waves, thus achieving additional suppression of parasitic oscillation. Under the suppression of parasitic oscillation, the spatial and spectral characteristics of the tapered laser are improved. The experimental results show that a near-Gaussian far-field distribution and a kink-free P-I characteristics are achieved, and a single peak emission with a wavelength of 1046.84 nm and a linewidth of 56 pm is obtained.  相似文献

We present an all-fiber 1150 nm Yb-doped fiber laser oscillator pumped by a 976 nm laser diode. To suppress amplified spontaneous emission and avoid parasitic laser oscillation, we propose a long-length gain fiber and a high-reflectivity output fiber Bragg grating in the fiber laser oscillator. The 1150 nm band single-mode fiber laser with output power of 20.5 W is demonstrated at room temperature. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency ranges up to 51.6% at the maximum output. The central wavelength of the fiber laser oscillator is 1150.35 nm, and its 3 dB spectral width is 0.72 nm. No evidence of amplified spontaneous emission, residual pump light, or parasitic laser oscillation were observed in the experiments. The high-power 1150 nm fiber laser oscillator can be used as a pump source in the development of a 3 μm Ho-doped fiber laser.  相似文献

By using polarization-rotated optical feedback from the transverse-electric (TE) mode to the transverse-magnetic (TM) mode, chaotic oscillations for both polarization modes are excited in a semiconductor laser. We find different correlations between these chaotic oscillations than those found in previous studies. In this study, the dynamics are strongly dependent on their radio-frequency (RF) components and they are divided into three RF regions. For low-pass filtered signals lower than the laser relaxation oscillation, there is an antiphase correlation between the two polarization modes. On the other hand, the two polarization modes have an in-phase correlation for the RF components of the high-pass filtered signals, which are higher than the relaxation oscillation. However, no correlations were observed between the two modes for the intermediate RF components that include the relaxation oscillation frequency. We also perform numerical calculations for the model and obtain good agreement between the theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

Phase synchronization (PS) in a periodically pump-modulated two-mode solid state laser is investigated. Although PS in the laser system has been demonstrated in response to a periodic modulation with the main relaxation oscillation (RO) frequency of the free-running laser, little is known about the case of modulation with minor RO frequencies. In this Letter, the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method is utilized to decompose the laser time series into a set of orthogonal modes and to examine the intrinsic PS near the frequency of the second RO. The degree of PS is quantified by means of a histogram of phase differences and the analysis of Shannon entropy.  相似文献

A microcavity laser based on the gain only in the evanescent field region of whispering gallery modes has been demonstrated. A cylindrical microcavity of 125 microm diam was surrounded by rhodamine 6G dye molecules in an ethanol solution of lower refractive index such that whispering gallery modes of the microcavity underwent laser oscillation when the dye molecules in the evanescent field region outside the cavity were excited by a second harmonic of a Nd:YAG laser. For particular pumping spots, single-mode laser oscillation of a transverse magnetic mode was observed at about 600 nm with associated cavity Q of 3x10(7).  相似文献
