SU(3) flavor symmetry allows the decay constantsf D 1 andf D 2 as well asf B 1 andf B 1 to be equal. But due toSU(3) flavor symmetry breaking the ratiosf B 1/f B 2 andf D 1/f D 2 are deviated from unity. We have estimated these ratios in the heavy quark effective theory and obtainedf B 1/f B 2=0.93,f D 1/f D 2=0.94 and the double ratio (f B 1/f B 2)/(f D 1/f D 2)=0.99.  相似文献

Weinberg’s spectral function sum rules are examined to study the axial vector mass spectrum at the level of SU(4). New mass relations and general mass constraints are derived to predict the masses of the charmed axial vector mesons and theI=0 pseudoscalar decay constants.  相似文献

The radiative decays of heavy mesons are considered in heavy quark symmetry formalism. Introducing the interpolating fields for the heavy mesons we obtain the transition matrix element and the corresponding decay widths in the heavy quark symmetry limits. The Isgur-Wise function present in the expression is determined by ISGW quark model. The results obtained agree reasonably well with other estimations.  相似文献

The decay widths for the radiative decays of heavy baryons are calculated in the heavy quark effective theory. Introducing the interpolating fields for heavy baryons we obtain the transition matrix elements and the corresponding decay widths. Considering theSU(6) flavor-spin wave functions for heavy baryons, the coupling constants are calculated in the nonrelativistic quark model. Since the masses of the heavy baryons are not available, we have taken the predicted bag model masses. We find our results are quite different from that of the heavy quark bag model calculations.  相似文献

By bosonization of an extended NJL model we derive an effective meson theory which describes the interplay between chiral symmetry and heavy quark dynamics. This effective theory is worked out in the low-energy regime using the gradient expansion. The resulting effective lagrangian describes strong and weak interactions of heavy B and D mesons with pseudoscalar Goldstone bosons and light vector and axial-vector mesons. Heavy meson weak decay constants, coupling constants and the Isgur-Wise function are predicted in terms of the model parameters partially fixed from the light quark sector. Explicit SU(3)F symmetry breaking effects are estimated and, if possible, confronted with experiment.  相似文献

We discuss the possibility of the asymmetry in production from beams, being a direct consequence of the properties of the light quark fragmentation function into heavy mesons. The main features of the asymmetry, as a function of , are easily described. An integrated sum rule for the multiplicity difference is presented. Predictions for the asymmetry in meson production are given. Received: 5 August 1999 / Published online: 17 March 2000  相似文献

Applying two different Lorentz-covariant quark models, one of them being essentially nonrelativistic, chiral symmetry breaking parameters of strong interaction will be calculated. Also attention will be paid to meson decays. The model retaining relativistic spinor structure for quark-antiquark wave functions turns out to be more appropriate than the nonrelativistic one.  相似文献

For heavy meson systems, we study the heavy quark potential, which emerges from the effective dilaton-gluon coupling inspired from the superstring theory. We put emphasis on the new confinement generating mechanism of this potential through the investigation of the spin-averaged energy levels of the heavy meson systems. By using a unified approach to the solutions of the Schr?dinger and the spinless Salpeter equations, we can examine in a realistic way the effects of using a relativistic kinetic energy. The obtained results agree favourably with other predictions, and the relativistic equation can better account for the observed energy levels.  相似文献

The weak decay constants of charm, bottom and top quark pseudoscalar mesons are calculated in a non-relativistic QCD potential model. The decay constants are obtained as ƒD > ƒB > ƒT. An opposite result, ƒD < ƒB < ƒT, is obtained by Mathur et al. using the QCD sum rules. A possible cause of this discrepancy and a comparison of our results with other calculations is presented also.  相似文献

Some charmonium-like resonances such as X(3872) can be interpreted as possible D(*)D(*) molecular states. Within the quark model, we study the structure of such molecular states and the similar B(*)D(*) molecular states by taking into account the light meson exchange (π, η, ρ, ω and σ) between two light quarks from different mesons.  相似文献

We argue that the heavy quark spin symmetry can lead to important consequences for heavy flavor hadronic molecules. It can be used to predict new heavy flavor hadronic molecules and hence provides a method to identify the nature of some newly observed exotic hadrons. For example,if the Y(4660) were an S-wave ψ f 0 (980) shallow bound state, then the mass, width and line shape of its spin partner are predicted.  相似文献
