Applying the 1 + 3 formalism we write down the full set of equations governing the structure and the evolution of self-gravitating cylindrically symmetric dissipative fluids with anisotropic stresses, in terms of scalar quantities obtained from the orthogonal splitting of the Riemann tensor (structure scalars), in the context of general relativity. These scalars which have been shown previously (in the spherically symmetric case) to be related to fundamental properties of the fluid distribution, such as: energy density, energy density inhomogeneity, local anisotropy of pressure, dissipative flux, active gravitational mass etc, are shown here to play also a very important role in the dynamics of cylindrically symmetric fluids. It is also shown that in the static case, all possible solutions to Einstein equations may be expressed explicitly through three of these scalars.  相似文献

We consider for j=?, … a spherically symmetric, static system of (2j+1) Dirac particles, each having total angular momentum j. The Dirac particles interact via a classical gravitational and electromagnetic field. The Einstein–Dirac–Maxwell equations for this system are derived. It is shown that, under weak regularity conditions on the form of the horizon, the only black hole solutions of the EDM equations are the Reissner–Nordstr?m solutions. In other words, the spinors must vanish identically. Applied to the gravitational collapse of a “cloud” of spin-?-particles to a black hole, our result indicates that the Dirac particles must eventually disappear inside the event horizon. We investigate cylindrically symmetric vacuum solutions with both null and non-null electromagnetic fields in the framework of the Brans–Dicke theory and compare these solutions with some of the well-known solutions of general relativity for special values of the parameters of the resulting field functions. We see that, unlike general relativity where the gravitational force of an infinite and charged line mass acting on a test particle is always repulsive, it can be attractive or repulsive for Brans–Dicke theory depending on the values of the parameters as well as the radial distance from the symmetry axis.  相似文献

In this paper, we evaluated the quasinormal modes of electromagnetic perturbation in a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by the static spherically symmetric quintessence by using the third-order WKB approximation when the quintessential state parameter w q in the range of −1/3 < w q < 0. Due to the presence of quintessence, Maxwell field damps more slowly. And when at −1 < w q < −1/3, it is similar to the black hole solution in the ds/Ads spacetime. The appropriate boundary conditions need to be modified.  相似文献

In this paper the external field of a bounded source emitting electromagnetic and gravitational radiation has been considered. The field has been assumed to be axially symmetric as well as reflexion symmetric and that it tends to flatness at infinity. The form of the electromagnetic tensor which is in accordance with the classical harmonic electric dipole radiation has been assumed. It has been shown that the whole set of field equations falls into seven main equations together with three supplementary conditions. These field equations have been solved by multipole expansion method and the corresponding Initial Value Problem has been discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain topological static solutions of some kind of pure F(R) gravity. The present solutions are two kind: first type is uncharged solution which corresponds with the topological (a)dS Schwarzschild solution and second type has electric charge and is equivalent to the Einstein-Λ-conformally invariant Maxwell solution. In other word, starting from pure gravity leads to (charged) Einstein-Λ solutions which we interpreted them as (charged) (a)dS black hole solutions of pure F(R) gravity. Calculating the Ricci and Kreschmann scalars show that there is a curvature singularity at r = 0. We should note that the Kreschmann scalar of charged solutions goes to infinity as r → 0, but with a rate slower than that of uncharged solutions.  相似文献

Models of the coupling of electromagnetic and gravitational fields have been studied extensively for many years. In this paper,we consider the coupling between the Maxwell field and the Weyl tensor of the gravitational field to study how the wavevector of the electromagnetic wave is affected by a plane gravitational wave. We find that the wavevector depends upon the frequency and direction of polarization of the electromagnetic waves, the parameter that couples the Maxwell field and the Weyl tensor, and the angle between the direction of propagation of the electromagnetic wave and the coordinate axis. The results show that this coupling model can be tested by the detection of high-frequency gravitational waves.  相似文献

We investigate four-dimensional spherically symmetric black hole solutions in gravity theories with massless, neutral scalars non-minimally coupled to gauge fields. In the non-extremal case, we explicitly show that, under the variation of the moduli, the scalar charges appear in the first law of black hole thermodynamics. In the extremal limit, the near horizon geometry is AdS 2 × S 2 and the entropy does not depend on the values of moduli at infinity. We discuss the attractor behaviour by using Sen’s entropy function formalism as well as the effective potential approach and their relation with the results previously obtained through special geometry method. We also argue that the attractor mechanism is at the basis of the matching between the microscopic and macroscopic entropies for the extremal non-BPS Kaluza–Klein black hole.  相似文献

It is shown how to generate solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations from static solutions ofR αβ=0. Classes of electromagnetic solutions, generalising ones already known, are obtained. There is a close formal similarity between magnetostatic solutions, and those referring to rotating matter. Solutions referring to cylindrically symmetric combined electromagnetic and gravitational waves are also given.  相似文献

A short electromagnetic wavelength approximation is used to obtain general solutions to the Maxwell equations for electromagnetic radiation in a Kerr–Schild plane gravitational wave metric. Their properties are then investigated for the specific case of a light beam in a weak, harmonic gravitational wave.  相似文献

A coupling electromagnetism with a previously developed scalar theory of gravitation is presented. The principle features of this coupling are: (1) a slight alteration to the Maxwell equations, (2) the motion of a charged particle satisfies an equation with the Lorentz force-appearing on the right side in place of zero, and (3) the energy density of the electromagnetic field appears in the gravitational field equation in a manner similar to the mass term in the Klein-Gordonequation. The field of a static, spherically symmetric charged particle is computed. The electromagnetic field gives rise to l/r 2 terms in the gravitational potential.  相似文献

The nonstatic cylindrically symmetric metric of Einstein-Rosen is considered, and a class of rigorous solutions for the Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor theory in the presence of source-free electromagnetic field is obtained. Since the Brans-Dicke scalar fields coupled with source-free electromagnetic fields are conformal to zero-mass fields combined with source-free electromagnetic fields of Einstein's gravitational theory, the solutions of the present work have been subjected to conformal transformation. These have been found to be the solutions of the coupled zero-mass and electromagnetic cylindrically symmetric fields described by Marder's metric.  相似文献

From a general metric for stationary cyclic symmetric gravitational fields coupled to Maxwell electromagnetic fields within the (2 + 1)-dimensional gravity the uniqueness of wide families of exact solutions is established. Among them, all uniform electromagnetic solutions possessing electromagnetic fields with vanishing covariant derivatives, all fields having constant electromagnetic invariants FμνFμν and TμνTμν, the whole classes of hybrid electromagnetic solutions, and also wide classes of stationary solutions are derived for a third-order nonlinear key equation. Certain of these families can be thought of as black hole solutions. For the most general set of Einstein–Maxwell equations, reducible to three nonlinear equations for the three unknown functions, two new classes of solutions – having anti-de Sitter spinning metric limit – are derived. The relationship of various families with those reported by different authors’ solutions has been established. Among the classes of solutions with cosmological constant a relevant place is occupied by the electrostatic and magnetostatic Peldan solutions, the stationary uniform and spinning Clement classes, the constant electromagnetic invariant branches with the particular Kamata–Koikawa solution, the hybrid cyclic symmetric stationary black hole fields, and the non-less important solutions generated via SL(2,R)-transformations where the Clement spinning charged solution, the Martinez–Teitelboim–Zanelli black hole solution, and Dias–Lemos metric merit mention.  相似文献

An exact solution is obtained for coupled dilaton and electromagnetic field in a cylindrically symmetric spacetime where an axial magnetic field as well as a radial electric field both are present. Depending on the choice of the arbitrary constants our solution reduces either to dilatonic gravity with pure electric field or to that with pure magnetic field. In the first case we have a curvature singularity at a finite distance from the axis indicating the existence of the boundary of a charged cylinder which may represent the source of the electric field. For the second case we have a singularity on the axis. When the dilaton field is absent the electromagnetic field disappears in both the cases. Whereas the contrary is not true. It is further shown that light rays except for those proceeding in the radial direction are either trapped or escape to infinity depending on the magnitudes of certain constant parameters as well as on the nature of the electromagnetic field. Nature of circular geodesics is also studied in the presence of dilaton field in the cylindrically symmetric spacetime.  相似文献

We construct complex networks from lévy noise (LN) using visibility algorithm proposed by Lucas lacasa el al. It is found that as the stability index α of the symmetric LN decreases, the corresponding complex network will transit from exponential network to long-tailed-degree-distribution one, and then to Gaussian one. The associated network for symmetric LN is the high clustering, hierarchy, and 18 community network. The properties of the associated networks for asymmetric LN except the skewness parameter β = −1 are similar with that for symmetric one. The associated network for the asymmetric LN with the skewness parameter β = −1 is always the exponential, high clustering, and hierarchy one with small k-clique communities.  相似文献

The coupling of the electromagnetic field to gravity is discussed. In the premetric axiomatic approach based on the experimentally well established conservation laws of electric charge and magnetic flux, the Maxwell equations are the same irrespective of the presence or absence of gravity. In this sense, one can say that the charge “substratum” and the flux “substratum” are not influenced by the gravitational field directly. However, the interrelation between these fundamental substrata, formalized as the spacetime relation HH(F) between the 2-forms of the electromagnetic excitation H and the electromagnetic field strength F, is affected by gravity. Thus the validity of the equivalence principle for electromagnetism depends on the form of the spacetime relation. We discuss the nonlocal and local linear constitutive relations and demonstrate that the spacetime metric can be accompanied also by skewon, dilaton, and axion fields. All these premetric companions of the metric may eventually lead to a violation of the equivalence principle.  相似文献

We express the density matrix for the N-qubit symmetric state or spin-j state (j = N/2) in terms of the well-known Fano statistical tensor parameters. Employing the multi-axial representation, where the spin-j density matrix is shown to be characterized by j(2j + 1) axes and 2j real scalars, we enumerate the number of invariants constructed out of these axes and scalars. We calculate these invariants explicitly in the particular case of the pure and mixed spin-1 state.  相似文献

We discuss the production of particles via interaction with the earth’s gravitational field. Explicit calculations are done for high energy scalars passing through earth’s gravitational field. We show for example, that the width for the scalar processφ→3φ can become comparable with a typical weak decay width at an energy scale of a few TeV. (Similar conclusions can be drawn about particles that ultimately couple to some scalar field.) We speculate that similar processes may be responsible for many of the anomalies in the 10–104 TeV experimental data.  相似文献

The gravitational collapse of charged imperfect fluids (including the presence of strings) models the structural evolution of the Universe. The dynamics of a charged cylindrically symmetric spacetime investigates the effects of charge on the rate of gravitational collapse. In this respect, the Einstein–Maxwell equations are formed and solved to obtain the values of the dynamical parameters of the fluid including density, pressure and electric field. These parameters are graphically presented. It was concluded that the string tension effects all the physical parameters of the fluid. Moreover, the density and electric field intensity increases while the fluid’s pressure decreases near the time of singularity formation.  相似文献
