Finger vein recognition has been adopted due to its high recognition rate and the invisibility of vein in visible light. However, because a finger vein pattern is not distinctive due to light scattering in the skin layer, the localization of a finger vein pattern region using an image processing algorithm is a difficult procedure. Also, optical blurring increases these difficulties. We propose a new finger vein image restoration method to deal with skin scattering and optical blurring. Our research is novel in three ways compared to previous studies. Firstly, the amount of optical blurring of a finger vein image is measured based on the average gradient of the orthogonal profile of a finger edge. Secondly, the accurate point spread function (PSF) of optical blurring is adaptively determined based on the orthogonal profile of a finger edge. Thirdly, using a constrained least square (CLS) filter and optimized parameters in terms of the lowest error of finger vein recognition, the restoration of a skin scattered and optically blurred finger vein pattern was performed. Experimental results show that the equal error rate (EER) of finger vein recognition with restoration was reduced by as much as 3.14% (5.05-1.91%) compared to the EER without restoration.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a collaborative representation-based classification on selected training samples (CRC_STS) for face image recognition. The CRC_STS uses a two stage scheme: The first stage is to select some most significant training samples from the original training set by using a multiple round of refining process. The second stage is to use collaborative representation classifier to perform classification on the selected training samples. Our method can be regarded as a sparse representation approach but without imposing l1-norm constraint on representation coefficients. The experimental results on three well known face databases show that our method works very well.  相似文献

In this work the moving ultrasound linear array technique has been used to perform 3D echographic images of different human hands, in order to evaluate this technique to biometric recognition purposes. An automated set up, based on a commercial echographic machine provided with a high frequency (12 MHz) linear array, has been built up. The probe is moved in the direction orthogonal to the array and at each step a B-scan is performed and stored to form a 3D matrix representing the under skin hand volume.B-scan and C-scan images of the hand of different users were analysed and compared. The results have shown that, in the analysed region (about 10 mm under the palm skin), there are several anatomic elements (including hand bones, bending tendons, muscle tissue, blood vessels) that can be exploited for measurements of biometric parameters.The characteristics of the proposed technique are compared with those of the 2D optical hand geometry, which is a well established biometric technique, and its possible advantages are underlined and discussed.  相似文献

在目前的图像处理技术发展现状中,图像挖掘技术是其中一项较为突出和新颖的技术分支。而随着日益庞大的图像数据信息处理量的要求增加,却没有一个有效的分析和处理技术,为此,如何解决大量数据的解析和处理问题是目前图像挖掘技术的主要方向。本文将着重研究图像挖掘技术的原理和其在目前社会中的应用情况。利用简析图像挖掘技术的基本原理分析其数据模型,探讨其所具备的基本功能以及在车辆目标识别上的应用和方法。总结出图像挖掘技术对图像中所存在信息的完全解读,挖掘图像中存在的隐形关联,而且随着图像挖掘技术的不断改进,其目标识别的功能可以应用到车辆管理模式当中。通过实验表明,此方法可以对目标图像中车辆数量和种类的辨识度达到80%以上。  相似文献

Fusion of multiple instances within a modality for improving the performance of biometric verification has attracted much attention in recent years. In this letter, we present an efficient Finger-Knuckle-Print (FKP) recognition algorithm based on multi-instance fusion, which combines the left index/middle and right index/middle fingers of an individual at the matching score level. Before fusing, a novel normalization strategy is applied on each score and a fused score is generated for the final decision by summing the normalized scores. The experimental results on Poly-U FKP database show that the proposed method has an obvious performance improvement compared with the single-instance method and different normalization strategies.  相似文献

依据傅里叶光学理论,采用在频谱面上放置两种空间滤波器的方法进行信号处理,分析了光栅平动式光调制器在成像面上的强度分布情况,实现了对光能量的调制.分析表明:当滤出±1级谱时,像面上可以得到完全均匀的暗场;但是由于边框和悬臂梁的影响,得不到完全均匀的亮场;当滤出零频谱时,由于边框和悬臂梁的影响,得不到完全均匀的暗场和亮场.设计时,为了要在像面上得到更高的亮度均匀性,需要满足可动光栅栅条宽度为光栅周期的一半,同时应尽量减少悬臂梁和边框的宽度.  相似文献

A new method for face recognition and image compression is presented here. In this method, Lanczos bidiagonalization is combined with sequences of small singular value decompositions. The goal of this method is to perform the truncated singular value decomposition for large matrices. It is an extension of standard Lanczos bidiagonalization, which improves its approximation capabilities and keeps the computational cost reasonable. Face recognition and image compression examples show the new method is competitive with pervious methods.  相似文献

图像平移和旋转会降低手背静脉识别的准确性,针对该问题,本文提出了一种特征融合的手背静脉识别法.该方法充分考虑图像的细节特征和全局特征,首先选取图像中的交叉点和端点作为特征点,再从特征点中提取出图像匹配的基准点,计算基准点至特征点间的相对距离及基准点与特征点连线间相邻连线产生的夹角作为细节特征;然后利用不变矩方法提取图像特征作为全局特征;最后将两种图像特征融合,进行手背静脉识别.实验模拟结果表明,该方法可快速有效地实现手背静脉识别.  相似文献

Micro-contaminant particles on surface of optical substrate have unfavorable influence on light characteristics and instability of optical devices. Proper recognition and evaluation of micro-contaminant particles on post-cleaning substrate are important in fabricating high-performance optical substrates. Based on image analysis and difference of gray scale threshold in image zones, this paper presents a technique for automatically recognizing micro-contamination, and the relevant software developed for on-line evaluation of the level of cleanliness on ultra-smooth optical substrate. Using the self-developed software incorporating high-resolution microscope, optical yttrium iron garnet (YIG) and K8 substrate surfaces of post-chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) were investigated. Results from analyzing the YIG and K8 optical substrates before-and-after laser cleaning illustrated the success of the developed automatic recognition and on-line evaluation system in identifying the micro-contaminant particles on the ultra-smooth substrate surface.  相似文献

地面对空中无人机的视觉识别中,由于无人机的飞行速度、角度呈现非线性变化。使得采集的疑似图像存在特征模糊、衰退等问题,传统的模式识别方法无法提取无人机图像的主要特征,极大程度上降低了图像的识别概率。提出一种引入球面谐波基图像特征细分的无人机识别算法,建立球面谐波基图像识别模型,利用无人机图像的球面谐波基图像近似率,对模糊图像的差异特征进行依次识别。实验结果表明,利用改进算法建立的模糊无人机图像差异特征识别模型,具有一定的优越性,提高了无人机识别的准确率。  相似文献

为了实现仅用两个密钥对彩色图像进行加密,提出了一种基于光栅调制的彩色图像加密方法.该方法首先把彩色图像分成三基色分量:红,绿,兰.然后,把这三帧灰度图像分别用空间频率不同正弦振幅光栅调制,之后,再把调制结果进行叠加而形成一个实值目标图像,该目标图像包含了原始彩色图像的全部信息.对此目标图像进行双随机相位加密系统的加密,即实现了彩色图像的加密隐藏.由于正弦光栅的调制作用,R、G、B灰度图像的频谱在实值目标图像的频谱中分离开来,通过选取合适的滤波窗口,就可以对他们的频谱分别提取并予以重建,并最终实现重构原始彩色图像.本文给出了理论分析和计算机模拟,实验结果证实了该方法的可行性.  相似文献

本文提出一种新的物体三维面形测量技术,它在传统的光栅投影测量法的基础上,对待测物体的左右两边分别进行测量,然后将上述的结果进行空间合成。这种方法能够有效地解决目前三维测量中存在的阴影及测量范围不大等不足和问题,为这种方法的实用性提供了广阔的前景。  相似文献

Hardware acceleration of image recognition through a visual cortex model   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Recent findings in neuroscience have led to the development of several new models describing the processes in the neocortex. These models excel at cognitive applications such as image analysis and movement control. This paper presents a hardware architecture to speed up image content recognition through a recently proposed model of the visual cortex. The system is based on a set of parallel computation nodes implemented in an FPGA. The design was optimized for hardware by reducing the data storage requirements, and removing the need for multiplies and divides. The reconfigurable logic hardware implementation running at 121 MHz provided a speedup of 148 times over a 2 GHz AMD Opteron processor. The results indicate the feasibility of specialized hardware to accelerate larger biological scale implementations of the model.  相似文献

以IKONOS影像为数据源,对IHS、PC,Gram—Schmidt和基于亮度调节的平滑滤波(SFIM)四种融合算法进行融合处理,对其结果进行了评价.结果表明,定性比较主观性较强,定量比较方法虽多,但大都有一定的局限性,不同谱段的计算结果总有些差异.因此,定量评价时应该多选一些波段与评价方法才能获得比较客观的评价结果.光谱曲线的比较不失为一种比较好的方法,在对光谱曲线进行比较时本文引入了光谱角度和几何距离两种方法进行定量的比较.  相似文献

A temporal difference method for processing dynamic speckle images is proposed. In the method two speckle images of an object, separated by a time interval, are subtracted one from the other to detect whether the speckle structure has changed or not. The rationale of the method is discussed. A variant of the method that allows measuring the area of an activity zone surrounded by a static region is tested in digital simulations. As a demonstrative experiment, that variant is employed to characterize the drying of a damp patch in filter paper.  相似文献

The discrimination capacity (DC) measures the ability of the filter in a pattern recognition problem to discriminate the target against other objects in the input scene. If the input scene is degraded by a defect of focus, then the DC is degraded and the pattern recognition process is worse. In this paper, we present a methodology based in the selection of ring frequency bands and in the design of the trade-off filters taking into account these frequencies to obtain several information channels. The information of all the channels is fused by means of the addition of all the channels and the geometric mean of them. Also individual channel analysis is shown. The influence on the DC and SNR of the added white noise in the input image is presented.  相似文献
