In this paper, non-axisymmetric guided wave propagation in circular cylindrical, anisotropic structures is studied in a frequency range up to 1 MHz. The investigations are carried out with carbon fibre reinforced tubes. The aim is the experimental determination of their effective linear elastic material properties in a non-destructive way. Therefore, an analytical model of the dispersion equation is fitted to the experimentally detected dispersion curves by systematically adjusting the desired material properties. A total least square scheme accompanied by an outlier detection criterion is used for this optimization task. Since the raw data of the measured dispersion curves contain a lot of noise, these outliers have to be detected and excluded, to achieve accurate results. Good agreement is found between the measured curves and the analytically calculated curves based on the estimated parameters. This fact indicates a high accuracy of the determined material properties.  相似文献

Nonlinear decay of an electromagnetic wave into lower-hybrid and upper-hybrid wave in a plasma containing two types of ions and two temperature electrons has been analytically investigated. Hydrodynamical model of the plasma is used. Nonlinear dispersion relation and growth rates are calculated for parametric decay, modulational and filamentation instabilities. As an application of the investigation growth rates are calculated for typical parameters of both laboratory and space plasmas. Effect of addition of second species of electrons and ions is discussed.  相似文献

A fundamental mathematical framework for applications of Doublet Mechanics to ultrasound propagation in a discrete material is introduced. A multiscale wave equation, dispersion relation for longitudinal waves, and shear waves are derived. The van Hove singularities and corresponding highest frequency limits for the Mth-order wave equations of longitudinal and shear waves are determined for a widely used microbundle structure. Doublet Mechanics is applied to soft tissue and low-density polyethylene. The experimental dispersion data for soft tissue and low-density polyethylene are compared with results predicted by Doublet Mechanics and an attenuation model based on a Kramers-Kronig relation in classical continuum mechanics.  相似文献

 理论分析了无限大引导磁场情况下的薄环形等离子体介质切伦柯夫脉塞。得出了通入相对论电子注时行列式形式的热腔色散方程,并求出了波增长率。针对不同等离子体密度下,对色散方程以及波增长率进行数值计算和模拟验证。研究发现与电子注作用的主要模式为低频等离子体模式中的前两个模式,随着等离子体密度的升高,脉塞中心工作频率升高、增益变大、带宽明显变宽,由模拟结果可以看出:等离子体频率为4.5×1019 m-3时对应着最大的输出功率为80 MW,效率为19.75%,频率为15.55 GHz,继续增大等离子体密度虽然可以使输出频率进一步提高,但是同时会使输出功率迅速下降。  相似文献

由于兰姆波的多模和频散特性,实际检测时在同一激发频率下存在多种模式的混合信号,而各模式信号有不同的频散特性,使得在时频混叠的情况下兰姆波的检测变得十分复杂.本文在频散补偿的基础上,通过时延函数建模,依靠不同模式频散趋势的差异性,将时频混叠信号的分离问题转化为部分模式混叠信号的分离问题.基于分数阶微分的理论,用信号幅值谱分数阶微分极大值和对应频率分别与微分阶次拟合多项式实现特征参数的提取并依靠特征参数重建幅值谱.结合相位谱重构时域信号以实现部分混叠信号中频散补偿后的模式的分离.最后恢复频散获得分离后的兰姆波信号.仿真和实验结果表明,本文方法不仅可以实现时频混叠多模式兰姆波信号的分离,更能保证分离精度,有助于复杂多模式频散信号的分离与处理的进一步研究.  相似文献

利用改进的波速法,对黏弹性材料连续宽频范围的动力学参数进行测试。利用有限元方法,对波速法的测试过程进行了仿真,验证了利用长短棒波速法测量宽频动力学参数的有效性。采用可控脉冲生成技术,在激振器上产生了用于宽频测试的短脉冲信号。黏弹性长短棒在上述宽带短脉冲激励下作纵向强迫振动,利用激光测振仪测量长短两棒自由端的纵向振动速度,从而可得两振动信号在连续宽频范围的幅值比和相位差,进而可根据波速法原理计算得到材料在连续宽频范围的储能模量和损耗因子。测试结果表明,该系统通过较少次数测试,可直接计算得到1~5 kHz连续宽频范围的动力学参数,测试结果与黏弹仪数据吻合。通过对幅值比和相位差进行线性最小二乘拟合,可以进一步拓展测量的频率范围。该方法准确可靠、简便快速,具有实际应用价值。   相似文献

The band structure of a nacreous composite material is studied by two proposed models, where an ultrawide low frequency band gap is observed. The first model (tension-shear chain model) with two phases including brick and mortar is investigated to describe the wave propagation in the nacreous composite material, and the dispersion relation is calculated by transfer matrix method and Bloch theorem. The results show that the frequency ranges of the pass bands are quite narrow, because a special tension-shear chain motion in the nacreous composite material is formed by some very slow modes. Furthermore, the second model (two-dimensional finite element model) is presented to investigate its band gap by a multi-level substructure scheme. Our findings will be of great value to the design and synthesis of vibration isolation materials in a wide and low frequency range. Finally, the transmission characteristics are calculated to verify the results.  相似文献

In this paper, the dispersion of laser generated surface wave in an epoxy bonded copper-aluminum layered specimen is studied. A laser ultrasonic experiment based on the point-source/point-receiver (PS/PR) technique was conducted to measure the surface wave signals in the layered specimen. The received wave signals were then processed in the frequency domain to obtain the dispersion relation of the fundamental surface wave mode. Theoretical calculations of the dispersion relations of the fundamental surface wave modes in two-layered and three-layered specimens were conducted to explore the influence of the bonding layer thickness on the dispersion relation. The experimental dispersion relation for the epoxy bonded copper-aluminum layered specimen is in good agreement with the calculated dispersion relation. The influence of the bonding layer thickness on the dispersion relation is studied and the potential application of the present results to the NDE of bonded layered media based on laser ultrasonics is also addressed.  相似文献

The spin dynamics of cold polarized gases are investigated using the Boltzmann equation. The dispersion relation for spin waves (transverse component of the magnetic moment) and the spin diffusion coefficient of the longitudinal component of the magnetic moment are calculated without using fitting parameters. The spin wave frequency and the diffusion coefficient for rubidium atoms are estimated numerically.  相似文献

A new leaky wave antenna based on channel guide filled with left-handed material (LHM), operating in evanescent surface mode of TM polarization, is presented for millimeter wave applications. A transverse equivalent network that yields a dispersion relation in closed form is employed to analyze the leakage characteristics of the antenna. Numerical results are presented for the phase and leakage constants of the antenna in terms of different geometric parameters and dielectric distributions. Besides, the frequency dependences of the leaky characteristics for the present antenna are given, from which the backward radiation is clearly demonstrated.  相似文献

The linearized Lorentz force, continuity equation, and Maxwell's equations are used to calculate the system dispersion relation for a coaxial configuration of the dielectric Cherenkov maser. The system consists of two coaxial conductors lined with dielectric and an annular relativistic electron beam, which propagates between the two liners. The dispersion relation for the beam and dielectric-lined coaxial waveguide structure and the no-beam system that describes the dependence of the generated frequency on the coaxial waveguide parameters are presented. 针对电磁波在非线性左手系材料中的传播性质, 分别研究了左、右手系材料界面以及两左手系材料界面上非线性TE表面波的传播行为讨论了导波的频率特性、色散关系以及群速度随频率的变化规律分析表明,两种界面上的非线性TE表面波均存在频率通带和禁带,且带宽是传播功率的函数揭示了在一定条件下,左、右手系材料界面上既可以支持正向传播的非线性TE表面波,也可以支持反向传播的非线性TE表面波;两左手系材料界面上表面波的传播性质因材料参量的变化差异较大,一定参量条件下,该界面上仅支持反向传播的非线性TE表面波.  相似文献

We report experiments on gravity-capillary wave turbulence on the surface of a fluid. The wave amplitudes are measured simultaneously in time and space by using an optical method. The full space-time power spectrum shows that the wave energy is localized on several branches in the wave-vector-frequency space. The number of branches depends on the power injected within the waves. The measurement of the nonlinear dispersion relation is found to be well described by a law suggesting that the energy transfer mechanisms involved in wave turbulence are restricted not only to purely resonant interaction between nonlinear waves. The power-law scaling of the spatial spectrum and the probability distribution of the wave amplitudes at a given wave number are also measured and compared to the theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The dispersion and damping of a dust-modified kinetic Alfvén wave, and a lower frequency dust kinetic Alfvén wave, is investigated in a dusty plasma comprising electrons, ions, and negative dust. It is found that, when dust dynamics is neglected, the presence of cold dust modifies the usual kinetic Alfvén wave dispersion and damping owing to the inequality of the electron and ion densities. The dispersion relation of the dust kinetic Alfvén wave, with frequency below the dust cyclotron frequency, depends on the density and temperature parameters of all three species, and the wave damping is due to both electrons and ions.  相似文献

Experimentally measured Lamb wave group velocities in composite materials with anisotropic characteristics are not the same as the theoretical group velocities which is calculated with the Lamb wave dispersion equation. This discrepancy arises from the fact that the angle between the group velocity direction and the phase velocity direction in anisotropic materials exists. Wave propagation in a composite material with anisotropic characteristics should be considered with respect to magnitude correction in addition to direction correction. In this study, S0 mode phase velocity dispersion curves are depicted with the variation of degree with respect to the fiber direction using a Lamb wave dispersion relation in the unidirectional, bidirectional, and quasi-isotropic composite plates. Slowness surface is sketched by the reciprocal value of the phase velocity curves. The magnitude and direction of the group velocity could be calculated from the slowness surface. The recalculated group velocities with consideration of the magnitude and direction from the slowness surface are compared with experimentally measured group velocities. The proposed method shows good agreements with theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

对速调型相对论返波管慢波结构色散特性及束波相互作用进行了理论研究。色散特性研究表明:器件工作模式为TM01模,近点,耦合阻抗较高。色散特性预测的工作频率与粒子模拟结果非常接近。慢波结构峰值增长率相对较小,这与电子束与慢波结构相距较大有关,因而器件从起振到饱和的时间较长。在束波相互作用理论中,全面考虑了电子束与慢波结构前向波基波、反向波-1次空间谐波及空间电荷场相互作用、谐振反射器对电子束进行的束流调制和能量调制作用,以及调制腔和提取腔处引入的耦合阻抗及轴向波数突变。稳态和非稳态计算结果均获得了超过40%的束波转换效率。  相似文献

In this paper, transmission characteristics of wave modes in a rectangular waveguide filled with lossless anisotropic metamaterial are theoretically investigated. The wave equation and dispersion relations for TE and TM modes in the waveguide are obtained and analyzed. It is shown that the negative constitutive parameters of the filling anisotropic metamaterial can be used to control the wave magnitude and the phase velocity direction in the waveguide over the entire frequency domain, both below and above the cutoff frequency. Particularly, not only backward waves, but also forward waves can propagate below the cutoff frequency in the waveguide. Furthermore, a typical example is calculated to demonstrate transmission characteristics of waves inside the waveguide. Numerical results are obtained in the paper and compared with theoretical predictions: a good agreement is found.  相似文献

The lowest order quantum corrections to the energy of a static soliton, of an easy plane spin chain, are calculated. The discreteness of the lattice of spins is shown to significantly effect the quantum corrections. However, if one uses a similar approximation to treat the spin wave dispersion relation, then the parameters which one extracts from the experimentally determined dispersion are such that the magnitude of the quantum corrections calculated in the continuum approximation are essentially exact.  相似文献

A model based on the theory of fluid–structure interaction is developed to simulate the laser thermoelastic generation and propagation of Leaky Lamb waves at the water–aluminum interface. Each component of displacement, stress, and temperature are derived in transform domain by the photothermoelastic transfer matrix method. The time domain solutions are obtained by numerically inverting the transforms while the dispersion curves and attenuation curves for the leaky waves are also calculated. Then the propagation characteristics of different modes are analyzed. The model establishes a quantitative relation between the laser parameters, the material parameters, the corresponding waveforms, and the dispersion curves, which provides a useful tool for the Leaky Lamb waves applied to nondestructive evaluation.  相似文献
