Liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data at 25°C are reported for eight ternary systems consisting of methanol, alkane (heptane, octane, nonane or decane), and ether (diethyl ether or dibutyl ether). The UNIFAC group contribution method was used to predict or correlate the ternary LLE data obtained. The predicted results shows the discrepancy from the experiments. Therefore, the UNIFAC group interaction parameters were adjusted to give better correlation performance.  相似文献

Vapour–liquid equilibrium data are reported for the ternary tert-butyl methyl ether+tert-butanol+2,2,4-trimethylpentane and the three binary tert-butyl methyl ether+tert-butanol, tert-butyl methyl ether+2,2,4-trimethylpentane, tert-butanol+2,2,4-trimethylpentane subsystems. The data were measured isothermally at 318.13, 328.20, and 339.28 K covering pressure range 15–100 kPa. Azeotropic data are presented for the tert-butanol+2,2,4-trimethylpentane system. Molar excess volumes at 298.15 K are given for the three binary systems. The binary vapour–liquid equilibrium data were correlated using Wilson, NRTL, and Redlich–Kister equations; the parameters obtained were used for calculation of phase behaviour in ternary system and for subsequent comparison with experimental data.  相似文献

A chiral crown ether incorporating a methyl -d-mannopyranoside unit displayed pronounced enantioselection of amino acids in partition liquid chromatography experiments involving solvent systems of limited miscibility: water–ethanol–2,2,4-trimethylpentane. The same system has been used for amino acid transport across a liquid membrane containing the crown ether, and in liquid–liquid extraction experiments. Remarkable enantioselection has been noted for amino acids in all the processes studied.  相似文献

Vapour pressures for 1-methoxy-2-propanol are reported as well as the vapour–liquid equilibrium data in the two binary 2-propanol + 1-methoxy-2-propanol, and diisopropyl ether + 1-methoxy-2-propanol systems, and in the ternary 2-propanol + diisopropyl ether + 1-methoxy-2-propanol system. The data were measured isothermally at 330.00 and 340.00 K covering the pressure range 5–98 kPa. The binary vapour–liquid equilibrium data were correlated using the Wilson, NRTL, and Redlich–Kister equations; resulting parameters were then used for calculation of phase behaviour in the ternary system and for subsequent comparison with experimental data.  相似文献

Liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) data for the quaternary systems of [water + acetic acid + mixed solvent (dipropyl ether + diisopropyl ether)] were measured at 298.2 K and atmospheric pressure, using various compositions of mixed solvent. Binodal curves and tie-lines for the quaternary systems have been determined in order to investigate the effect of solvent mixture, dipropyl ether (DPE) and diisopropyl ether (IPE), on extracting acetic acid from aqueous solution. A comparison of the extracting capabilities of the mixed solvents was made with respect to distribution coefficients, separation factors, and solvent free selectivity bases. Reliability of the data was confirmed by using the Othmer–Tobias and Hand plots. The tie-lines were also correlated using the UNIFAC model. The average root-mean-square deviations between the observed and calculated mass fractions for the studied systems were in the range of 10–14%.  相似文献

A kinetic investigation of the photoinitiated cationic copolymerization of 1-propenyl ethers with vinyl ethers monomers was performed by using FT-IR and 1H-NMR analysis. FT-IR results, obtained in bulk, indicate a higher reactivity of the vinyl ether with respect to the 1-propenyl ether double bond. 1H-NMR analysis, in CDCl3 solution, confirms these results which agree with the literature data concerning monofunctional systems. The properties of the UV cured copolymerization products are investigated by DMTA analysis and discussed on the basis of the kinetic investigation results.  相似文献

A method for the synthesis of well-defined poly(alkyl vinyl ether–2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) diblock copolymers with hydrolytically stable block linkages has been developed. Monofunctional poly(alkyl vinyl ether) oligomers with nearly Poisson molecular weight distributions were prepared via a living cationic polymerization method using chloroethyl vinyl ether together with HI/ZnI2 as the initiating system and lithium borohydride as the termination reagent. Using the resultant chloroethyl ether functional oligomers in combination with sodium iodide as macroinitiators, 2-ethyl-2-oxazoline was polymerized in chlorobenzene/NMP to afford diblock copolymers. A series of poly(methyl vinyl ether–2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) diblock materials were found to have polydispersities of ≈ 1.3–1.4 and are microphase separated as indicated by two Tg's in their DSC thermograms. These copolymers are presently being used as model materials to study fundamental parameters important for steric stabilization of dispersions in polar media. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The liquid-phase catalytic hydrogenation of 3,5-dinitrophenyl phenyl ether to give 3,5-diaminophenyl phenyl ether in the presence of Group VIII metals as catalysts has been investigated. The main kinetic characteristics of the process have been established. The reduction occursvia the formation of 5-amino-3-nitrophenyl phenyl ether. In terms of their activity, the catalysts studied can be arranged in the following sequence: 1% Pd/Sibunit> 2 % Pd/C > Lindlare Pd > 5% Ru/Sibunit > Raney Ni. The selectivity of the process with respect to intermediate 5-amino-3-nitrophenyl phenyl ether depends on the relative adsorption abilities of mono- and dinitro compounds. A promoting effect of water during hydrogenation of 3,5-dinitrophenyl phenyl ether in isopropanol or 1,4-dioxane has been noted. Ion-pair formation constants (KMLA mol−1 dm3) of Na+– and K+–18-crown-6 ether (18C6) complexes with MnO4 in water (w) were determined potentiometrically at 25 °C. Simultaneously, extraction constants (Kex mol−2 dm6) of the permanganates with 18C6 from w into 1,2-dichloroethane at 25 °C were obtained from the spectrophotometric determination of distribution ratios of the permanganates. These Kex values were divided into KMLA and other three component equilibrium constants and thereby extraction-selectivity and -ability were discussed in comparison with corresponding metal picrate–18C6 extraction systems reported before.  相似文献

Poly(ether ketone ketone) was sulfonated using fumic sulfuric acid and used for preparation of proton conductive membranes. The sulfonation degree was evaluated by elemental and thermal analysis and the IEC values were determined by titration. The proton conductivity of membranes with sulfonation degrees up to 70% was determined as a function of temperature by impedance spectroscopy. Membranes with sulfonation degree 38–70% were tested in DMFC experiments. Their performance was comparable to Nafion® with the same pretreatment and clearly better than sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) membranes with similar functionalization. The methanol crossover was lower than that of Nafion® in the same conditions.  相似文献

This paper reports measurements of the solubility of water in liquid and supercritical fluid mixtures of dimethyl ether and carbon dioxide. The measurements were made by extracting water under saturation conditions using premixed liquid dimethyl ether–carbon dioxide mixtures. Results are reported for temperatures of 313.8 K and 333.3 K at 9.0 MPa and 15.0 MPa. Results are fitted to the Peng–Robinson cubic equation of state with mixing rules according to Wong and Sandler, using binary interaction parameters fitted to the literature data for the respective binary systems: dimethyl ether–water; dimethyl ether–carbon dioxide; and carbon dioxide–water. Liquid densities for dimethyl ether–carbon dioxide mixtures, measured using a coriolis flow instrument, are also reported.  相似文献

Excess molar volumes are reported for binary mixtures of methyl tert-butyl ether with trichloromethane, tetrachloromethane, 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,1,2-trichloroethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, or 1,1,1,2,2-pentachloroethane at 30°C over the entire composition range of the mixtures. Excess volumes for all the mixtures are found to be negative. A qualitative interpretation of the results in terms of O–H–C and Cl–O interactions is presented. The Prigogine-Flory-Patterson theory has been used to analyze the results.  相似文献

Summary A fluorimetric-detection RP-HPLC method is developed for the separation and quantification of bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE), bisphenol F diglycidyl ether (BFDGE), its hydrolysis and chlorohydroxy derivatives, and NOGE and BADGE oligomers. This method was applied to test an epoxy resin used as a coating for food contact packaging materials with two different heat treatments in the curing process. Migration of these compounds was evaluated in three food simulants: 3% (w/v) acetic acid, 10% (v/v) ethanol, rectified olive oil and also in acetonitrile. A simple extraction procedure was also applied to obtain olive oil extracts. Quantification was performed by using external calibration, and correlation coefficients were greater than 0,996 and the limit of detection (LOD) was 0.02 mg L–1 for all substances. A simple method for the determination of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) in gasoline has been developed. The separation of MTBE from other analytes was controlled by the use of gas chromatography–mass spectrometry in the full scan mode using the characteristic primary, secondary and tertiary ions m/z 73, 57 and 43. The sample mass spectrum did not show any superimposition of other analytes. The separation from the common gasoline component 2-methylpentane was sufficient for reliable quantitation. An application of the developed conditions using gas chromatography with flame ionization detection was performed by the analysis of regular, euro super, super premium unleaded and ‘Optimax’ gasoline from petrol stations in the area of Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Regular unleaded gasoline shows an average MTBE content of 0.4% (w/w), whereas the MTBE content in euro super gasoline varies between 0.4 and 4.2% (w/w). The blending of MTBE to super premium has increased from 8.2% (w/w) in 1998 to 9.8% (w/w) on average in 1999. The recently introduced gasoline ‘Optimax’ shows an average MTBE content of 11.9% (w/w). The presented method might also be used for the analysis of other ethers, such as ethyl tert-butyl ether, which requires the use of another internal standard.  相似文献

Blends of poly (ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) and polyetherimide (PEI) were prepared in five different weight ratios, using N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) as solvent. Reduced viscosity and rheological parameters of these blends were investigated. Cannon–Fenske viscometer was used to study the viscoelastic parameters of the salt-free polyelectrolyte blends and the data obtained was fitted in Fuoss–Strauss equation. Effects of temperature and concentration have been investigated. It was observed that the storage modulus (G′) and dynamic viscosity (η′) of the blends varies significantly as compare to pure SPEEK and PEI. Surface morphology and thermal behavior of the membranes were studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Form SEM results it was observed that the phase separation occurs at 25% PEI contents in blends.  相似文献

Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) is recently widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industry as a non-polluting octane booster for gasoline and as an organic solvent. The isobaric or isothermal vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) were determined directly for MTBE+C1–C4 alcohols. The excess enthalpy (HE) for butane+MTBE or isobutene+MTBE and excess volume (VE) for MTBE+C3–C4 alcohols were also determined. Besides, the infinite dilute activity coefficient, partial molar excess enthalpies and volumes at infinite dilution (γ, HE,∞, VE,∞) were calculated from measured data. Measurements of excess molar enthalpies at 25°C in a flow microcalorimeter, are reported for the four binary mixtures formed by mixing 1-hexene with either 2- methyltetrahydrofuran, or methyl tert-butyl ether, or diisopropyl ether, or di-n-butyl ether. Smooth Redlich–Kister representations of the results are presented. It was found that the Liebermann–Fried model also provided good representations of the results.  相似文献

New experimental excess molar enthalpy data of the ternary systems (dibutyl ether + 1-propanol + benzene, or toluene), and the corresponding binary systems at T = (298.15 and 313.15) K at atmospheric pressure are reported. A quasi-isothermal flow calorimeter has been used to make the measurements. All the binary and ternary systems show endothermic character at both temperatures. The experimental data for the systems have been fitted using the Redlich–Kister rational equation. Considerations with respect the intermolecular interactions amongst ether, alcohol and hydrocarbon compounds are presented.  相似文献

This paper reports on the preparation and characterization of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (sPEEK)-based mixed matrix membranes. The inorganic matrix consisted of silica: Aerosil®380, tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) or a combination of both to obtain an interconnected silica network. The behavior of these membranes in ethanol–water systems was studied for application in a direct ethanol fuel cell (DEFC). Uptake measurements showed that the converted TEOS content had a strong influence on the hydrophilicity of the membranes. Proton conductivity was strongly related to the water content in the membrane, but the proton diffusion coefficients of membranes with various Aerosil®380–TEOS combinations were similar. Dynamic measurements in liquid–liquid (L–L) and liquid–gas (L–G) systems were performed to study the ethanol transport through the membrane. No reduction in ethanol permeability was obtained in the L–L system, but a remarkable reduction was obtained in the L–G system when 2 M ethanol was applied. The reinforcing characteristic of the combined Aerosil®380–TEOS-system were best observed at 40 °C with 4 M ethanol. The fuel cell performance prediction based on the selectivity of proton diffusion coefficient to ethanol permeability coefficient showed for nearly all composite membranes an improvement with respect to the polymeric reference. The presence of an inorganic phase led to relatively constant proton diffusion coefficients and lower ethanol permeability coefficients in comparison with the polymeric reference.  相似文献
