Heteronuclear complexes containing oxorhenium(V), with Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) and UO2(VI) ions were prepared by the reaction of the complex ligands [ReO(HL1)(PPh3)(OH2)Cl]Cl (a) and/or [ReO(H2L2)(PPh3)(OH2)Cl]Cl (b), where H2L1?=?1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)butane-1,3-dione-3-(5,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine-3-ylhydrazone) and H3L2?=?1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)butane-1,3-dione-3-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylhydrazone), with transition and actinide salts. Heterodinuclear complexes of ReO(V) with Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) were obtained using a 1?:?1 mole ratio of the complex ligand and the metal salt. Heterotrinuclear complexes were obtained containing ReO(V) with UO2(VI) and Cu(II) using 2?:?1 mole ratios of the complex ligand and the metal salts. The complex ligands a and b coordinate with the heterometal ion via a nitrogen of the heterocyclic ring and the nitrogen atom of the C=N7 group. All transition metal cations in the heteronuclear complexes have octahedral configurations, while UO2(VI)?complexes have distorted dodecahedral geometry. The structures of the complexes were elucidated by IR, ESR, electronic and 1H NMR spectra, magnetic moments, conductance and TG-DSC measurements. The antifungal activities of the complex ligands and their heteronuclear complexes towards Alternaria alternata and Aspergillus niger showed comparable behavior with some well-known antibiotics.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methylglutarates were prepared as solids with general formula MC6 H8 O4 ×n H2 O, where n =0–8. Their solubilities in water at 293 K were determined (7.0×10−2 −4.2×10−3 mol dm−3 ). The IR spectra were recorded and thermal decomposition in air was investigated. The IR spectra suggest that the carboxylate groups are mono- or bidentate. During heating the hydrated complexes lose some water molecules in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu) or two steps (Cd) and then mono- (Cu) or dihydrates (Mn, Co, Ni) decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Cu, Co) or with intermediate formation of free metals (Co, Ni). Anhydrous Zn(II) complex decomposes directly to the oxide ZnO. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Four new mixed ligand complexes were prepared by the reaction of title metal dichloroacetates and 2,4'-bipyridine. The general formulae of synthesized compounds are M(2,4'-bpy)2(CCl2HCOO)2·nH2O (where M(II)=Mn, Co, Ni, Cu; 2,4'-bpy=2,4'-bipyridine, n=2 or 4). The complexes have been isolated from aqueous media and characterized by chemical analysis, molar conductance (in MeOH, DMSO and DMF), magnetic, IR and VIS spectral studies. The nature of metal(II)-ligand coordination is discussed. The thermal behaviour of obtained complexes was studied by thermal analysis and TG-MS techniques in air. IR, X-ray powder diffraction and thermoanalytical data were used for the determination of solid intermediate products of the thermal decomposition. The principal volatile products of thermal decomposition of complexes were proved by mass spectroscopy: H2O+, CO+ 2, HCl+ 2, Cl+ 2, NO+ and other. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(painh)(H2O)2X], where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); X = Cl2 or SO4; painh = p-amino acetophenone isonicotinoyl hydrazone, have been synthesized and characterized by spectral and other physico-chemical techniques. The synthesized complexes are stable powders, insoluble in common organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and diethyl ether, and are non-electrolytes. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) studies show that the organic ligand decomposes exothermically through various steps. TGA and Infrared (IR) spectral studies indicate the presence of coordinated water in the metal complexes. Magnetic susceptibility measurements and electronic spectra suggest that Mn(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes are paramagnetic with octahedral geometry, whereas Cu(II) complexes have distorted octahedral geometry. The neutral bidentate ligand bonds through >C=O and >C=N–groups in all the complexes. Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectra in the solid state show axial symmetry for [Cu(painh)(H2O)2(SO4)] and elongated rhombic symmetry for [Cu(painh)(H2O)2Cl2], suggesting an elongated tetragonally-distorted octahedral structure for both complexes. X-ray powder diffraction parameters for two complexes correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices. The metal complexes show fair antifungal activity against Rizoctonia sp., Aspergillus sp., Stemphylium sp., and Penicillium sp. and appreciable antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas sp. and Escherichia coli.  相似文献

In this study, Seven new complexes incorporating (E)-2-(((5-([2-hydroxyphenoxy]methyl)furan-2-yl)methylene)amino)phenol derived from 2-hydroxyphenoxymethylfuran-5-carbaldehyde and 2-aminophenol have been synthesized using Cu(II), Cr(III), Fe(III), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), and Pt(IV) metal salts. Thermal measurements, molar conductance, magnetic moment, elemental analyses, spectral (IR, UV–Vis, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), ESR, Mass), were used to characterize insulated solid complexes. The thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermoanalysis (DTA) of the complexes were carried out in the range of 30–900°C. Magnetic susceptibility and electronic spectral data, as well as quantum chemical calculations, reveal the square planar geometry for Ni (II) complex, square planar/octahedral geometry for Cu (II) complex, while Co(II), Zn(II), Cr(III), Fe(III), and Pt (IV) complexes are octahedral geometry. Density functional theory (DFT) studies revealed that geometries of metal complexes and Schiff base were entirely optimized in relation to use energy by 6–31 + g (d,p) basis set. The complexes show a well-defined crystal system indicated by a powder-X-ray diffraction pattern. The scanning electron microscope showed complexes were nanocrystalline in nature, in addition to the interaction of the complexes with calf thymus CT-DNA, which was investigated via the UV–visible absorption method. Therefore, the DNA cleavage activity by the H2L ligand and its metal complexes was performed. Finally, the synthesized complexes were tested for their in-vitro antimicrobial efficacy.  相似文献

Complexes of sulfamethoxydiazine with Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Cr(III) and Fe(III) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of conductivity measurements, elemental analyses, UV, IR, 1H?NMR and thermal studies. It is shown that sulfamethoxydiazine behaves as a bidentate ligand, binding the metal ion through the sulfonyl oxygen and sulfonamide nitrogen. In vitro susceptibility tests of these complexes against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Proteus vulgaris and Staphylococcus aureus were carried out. The results show that the antibacterial activities of the complexes of Zn(II), Cu(II), Cr(III) and Fe(III) are, in general, stronger than that of sulfamethoxydiazine, while the complexes of Cd(II) and Ni(II) are less active.  相似文献

The 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) orotates were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectral methods (UV-vis and FTIR) and thermal analysis techniques (TG, DTG and DTA). The Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions in diaquabis(1,10-phenanthroline)metal(II) diorotate octahedral complexes [M(H2O)2(phen)2](H2Or)2·nH2O (M=Co(II), n=2.25; Ni(II), n=3; Cu(II) and Cd(II), n=2) are coordinated by two aqua ligands and two moles of phen molecules as chelating ligands through their two nitrogen atoms. The monoanionic orotate behaves as a counter ion in the complexes. On the basis of the first DTGmax, the thermal stability of the hydrated complexes follows the order: Cd(II), 68°C 68°C  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(pash)Cl] and [M(Hpash)(H2O)SO4] (M=Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); Hpash = p-amino acetophenone salicyloyl hydrazone) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar electrical conductance, magnetic moments, electronic, ESR and IR spectra, thermal studies and X-ray powder diffraction. All the complexes are insoluble in common organic solvents and are non-electrolytes. The magnetic moment values and electronic spectra indicate a square-planar geometry for Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) chloride complexes and spin-free octahedral geometry for the sulfato complexes. The ligand coordinates through >C=N–,–NH2 and a deprotonated enolate group in all the chloro complexes, and through >C=N–, >C=O and–NH2 in the sulfato complexes. Thermal analyses (TGA and DTA) of [Cu(pash)Cl] show a multi-step exothermic decomposition pattern. ESR spectral parameters of Cu(II) complexes in solid state at room temperature suggest the presence of the unpaired electron in d x 2 ? y 2 . X-ray powder diffraction parameters for [Cu(pash)Cl] and [Ni(Hpash)(H2O)SO4] correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices, respectively. The complexes show a fair degree of antifungal activity against Aspergillus sp., Stemphylium sp. and Trichoderma sp. and moderate antibacterial activity against E. coli and Clostridium sp.  相似文献

Three new vic-dioximes, [L1H2], N-(4-ethylphenyl)amino-1-acetyl-1-cyclohexenylglyoxime, [L2H2], N-(4-butylphenyl)amino-1-acetyl-1-cyclohexenylglyoxime, and [L3H2], N-(4-methoxyphenyl)amino-1-acetyl-1-cyclohexenylglyoxime were synthesized from 1-acetyl-1-cyclohexeneglyoxime and the corresponding substituted aromatic amines. Metal complexes of these ligands were also synthesized with Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) salts. These new compounds (ligands and complexes) were characterized with FT–IR, magnetic susceptibility measurement, molar conductivity measurements, mass spectrometry measurements, thermal methods (e.g. thermal gravimetric analysis), 1H NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and 13C NMR spectral data and elemental analyses.  相似文献

New metal complexes of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) with salicylidine-2-aminobenzimidazole (SABI) are synthesized and their physicochemical properties are investigated using elemental and thermal analyses, IR, conductometric, solid reflectance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The base reacts with these metal ions to give 1:1 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in cases of Fe(III), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions; and 1:2 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in case of Ni(II) ion. The conductance data reveal that Fe(III) complex is 2:1 electrolyte, Co(II) is 1:2 electrolyte, Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes while Ni(II) is non-electrolyte. IR spectra showed that the ligand is coordinated to the metal ions in a terdentate mannar with O, N, N donor sites of the phenloic -OH, azomethine -N and benzimidazole -N3. Magnetic and solid reflectance spectra are used to infer the coordinating capacity of the ligand and the geometrical structure of these complexes. The thermal decomposition of the complexes is studied and indicates that not only the coordinated and/or crystallization water is lost but also that the decomposition of the ligand from the complexes is necessary to interpret the successive mass loss. Different thermodynamic activation parameters are also reported, using Coats-Redfern method. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

4-Morpholinoacetophenone thiosemicarbazone, MAPT, and its nickel(Ⅱ) and copper(Ⅱ) complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectral methods (FT-IR, ^1H NMR) and cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical behaviors of the complexes have been studied by cyclic voltammetry in DMF media showing metal centered reduction processes for both of them. The redox properties, nature of the electrode processes and the stability of the complexes were discussed. [Cu(MAPT)2]Cl2 complex shows Cu(Ⅱ)/Cu(Ⅰ) couple and quasi-reversible wave associated with the Cu(Ⅲ)/Cu(Ⅱ) process. The reduction/oxidation potential values depend on the structures of complexes. Also, the antimicrobial activities of these complexes were determined against S. aureus, E. coli and B. subtilis.  相似文献

The mixed 2,4'-bipyridine-oxalato complexes of the formulae M(2,4'-bipy)2 C2 O4 2H2 O (M (II)=Mn, Co, Ni, Cu; 2,4'-bipyridine=2,4'-bipy or L ; C2 O2– 4 =ox) have been prepared and characterized. IR data show that the 2,4'-bipy coordinated with these metals(II) via the least hindered (4')N atom; that oxalate group acts as bidentate chelating ligand. Room temperature magnetic moments are normal for the orbital singlet states. The thermal decomposition of these complexes was investigated by TG, DTA and DTG in air. The endothermic or exothermic character of the decomposition of ML2 (ox)2H2 O was discussed. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II)3,3-dimethylglutarates were investigated and their quantitative composition, solubility in water at 293 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with general formula MC7H10O4nH2O (n=0−2) were recorded and their thermal decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes of Mn(II),Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) are dehydrated in one step and next all the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Co, Zn) or with intermediate formation free metal (Ni,Cu) or oxocarbonates (Cd). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are bidentate. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II)attain values 5.62, 5.25, 2.91 and 1.41 M.B., respectively. Two new hexadentate N2O4 donor Schiff bases, H4L1 and H4L2, were synthesized by condensation of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol with glycine and alanine, respectively. The structures of the ligands were elucidated by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, electronic, and mass spectra. Reactions of the Schiff bases with copper(II), nickel(II), and iron(III) nitrates in 1 : 2 molar ratio gave binuclear metal complexes and, in the presence of 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ) or 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) as secondary ligands (L′), mixed-ligand complexes in two molar ratios 1 : 2 : 2 and 1 : 2 : 1 (L1/L2 : M : L′). The complexes were characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, IR, electronic, mass, and ESR spectral studies, as well as conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The spectroscopic data reveal that the Schiff-base ligands were dibasic or tetrabasic hexadentate ligands. The coordination sites with the metal ions are two azomethine nitrogens, two oxygens of phenolic groups, and two oxygens of carboxylic groups. Copper(II) complexes were octahedral and square planar while nickel(II) and iron(III) complexes were octahedral. The Schiff bases, H4L1 and H4L2, and some of their metal complexes showed antibacterial activity towards Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes) and Gram-negative (Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas phaseolicola) bacteria and antifungal activity towards the fungi Fusarium oxysporium and Aspergillus fumigatus.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 4-methylphthalates were investigated and their composition, solubility in water at 295 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with molar ratio of metal to organic ligand of 1.0:1.0 and general formula: M [ CH3C6H3(CO2)2nH2o (n=1-3) were recorded and their decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes are dehydrated in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd) or two steps (Cu) and next the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Cu, Zn), with intermediate formation of carbonates (Mn, Cd), oxocarbonates (Ni) or carbonate and free metal (Co). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are mono- and bidentate (Co, Ni), bidentate chelating and bridging (Zn) or bidentate chelating (Mn, Cu, Cd). The magnetic moments for paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.92, 5.05, 3.36 and 1.96 M.B., respectively. A new chelating agent, bis(diacetylmonoxime)thiocarbohydrazone (H3DMT), has been synthesized from reaction between diacetylmonoxime and thiocarbohydrazide. The prepared ligand, characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H?NMR spectra, is a strong chelating agent and indicator. Its coordinating properties have been studied toward VO2+, Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pt(IV) ions. The data revealed the formation of mononuclear complexes with Co(II) and Pt(IV) and binuclear complexes with the rest. In all complexes, the ligand binds in its deprotonated form through the oxime and hydrazone nitrogens as well as the thiol or thione sulfur forming five- and six-membered rings. All complexes exhibit an octahedral structure except for the Cu(II) which has a square-pyramidal geometry based on the spectral and magnetic studies. The ESR spectra of the Cu(II) and VO2+ complexes are in good agreement with the structural results. The color change from acidic (yellow) to basic (reddish brown) media gives the ligand the ability to become as an analytical indicator for weak acid–weak base titrations.  相似文献

The triethanolamine complexes, [M(tea)2]sq·nH2O, (n=2 for Co(II), n=0 for Ni(II), Cu(II) and n=1 for Cd(II), tea=triethanolamine, sq2−=squarate), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements, UV-Vis and IR spectra, and thermal analyses techniques (TG, DTG and DTA). The Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes possess octahedral geometry, while the Cd(II) complex is monocapped trigonal prismatic geometry. Dianionic squarate behaves as a counter ion in the complexes. The thermal decomposition of these complexes takes place in three stages: (i) dehydration, (ii) release of the tea ligands and (iii) burning of organic residue. On the basis of the first DTGmax of the decomposition, the thermal stability of the anhydrous complexes follows the order: Ni(II), 289°C>Co(II), 230°C>Cu(II), 226°C>Cu(II), 170°C in static air atmosphere. The final decomposition products — the respective metal oxides — were identified by FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献

New mixed-ligand complexes with empirical formulae M(4-bpy)L2·1.5H2O (M(II)=Mn, Co), Ni(4-bpy)2L2 and Cu(4-bpy) L2·H2O (where: 4-bpy=4,4'-bipyridine, L=CC L2HCOO-) have been isolated in pure state. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, ir spectroscopy, conductivity (in methanol, dimethylformamide and dimethylsulfoxide solutions) and magnetic and x-ray diffraction measurements. The Mn(II) and Co(II) complexes are isostructural. The way of metal-ligand coordinations discussed. the ir spectra suggest that the carboxylate groups are bonded with metal(II) in the same way (Ni, Cu) or in different way (Mn, Co). The solubility in water is in the order of 19.40·10-3÷1.88·10-3ł mol dm-3ł. During heating the hydrate complexes lose all water in one step. The anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides via several intermediate compounds. A coupled TG-MS system was used to analyse the principal volatile products of obtained complexes. The principal volatile products of thermal decomposition of complexes in air are: H2O2 +, CO2 +, HCl+, Cl2 +, NO+ and other. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A series of polymeric cobalt(II), nickel(II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II) azido complexes with hydrazine of the type [M(N2H4)(H2O)(N3)Cl]n, [M(N2H4)(N3)2]n and [M(N2H4)2(N3)2]n have been prepared. These were characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic and IR spectra. The complexes are highly insoluble in polar and non polar solvents. All the complexes decompose with explosion at different temperatures between 100°C to 200°C. The magnetic moment and electronic spectral data for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes suggest that the complexes have octahedral structure. The ligand-field parameters (10 Dq, B, β, β° and LFSE) have also been calculated for all Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes which indicate a significant covalent character of M-L bonds. The IR spectra of the complexes show that the azide group and hydrazine molecule both act as bidentate bridging ligands in [M(N2H4)(H2O)(N3)Cl]n and [M(N2H4)(N3)2]n type complexes but the azide group is terminally bonded to metal in all [M(N2H4)2(N3)2]n type complexes.  相似文献

A new macrocyclic ligand, 1,3,5-triaza-2,4:7,8:16,17-tribenzo-9,12,15-trioxacyclooktadeca-1,5-dien (L) was synthesized by reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 1,7-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane. Then, its Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Co(III) and La(III) complexes were synthesized by template effect by reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 1,7-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane and Cu(NO3)2 · 3H2O, Ni(NO3)2 · 6H2O, Pb(NO3)2, Co(NO3)2 · 6H2O, La(NO3)3 · 6H2O, respectively. The ligand and its metal complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV–Vis spectra, magnetic susceptibility, thermal gravimetric analysis, conductivity measurements, mass spectra and cyclic voltammetry. All complexes are diamagnetic and Cu(II) complex is binuclear. The Co(II) was oxidized to Co(III). The comparative electrochemical studies show that the nickel complex exhibited a quasi-reversible one-electron reduction process while copper and cobalt complexes gave irreversible reduction processes in DMSO solution.  相似文献
