In this paper, we extend the (S) + 1 condition to multivalued mappings in an ordered Hausdorff topological vector space and we derive some existence results for generalized vector variational inequalities associated with multivalued mappings satisfying the (S) + 1 condition. We generalize also an existence result of Cubiotti and Yao for generalized variational inequalities of class (S) + 1 to barreled normed spaces. As consequences, some existence results for vector variational inequalities are established.This work was partially supported by grants from the National Science Council of the Republic of China. We show that meromorphic solutions f, g of f 2 + g 2 = 1 in C2 must be constant, if f z2 and g z1 have the same zeros (counting multiplicities). We also apply the result to characterize meromorphic solutions of certain nonlinear partial differential equations.  相似文献

A Latin squares of order v with ni missing sub-Latin squares (holes) of order hi (1 〈= i 〈 k), which are disjoint and spanning (i.e. ∑k i=l1 nihi = v), is called a partitioned incomplete Latin squares and denoted by PILS. The type of PILS is defined by (h1n1 h2n2…hknk ). If any two PILS inaset of t PILS of type T are orthogonal, then we denote the set by t-HMOLS(T). It has been proved that 3-HMOLS(2n31) exist for n ≥6 with 11 possible exceptions. In this paper, we investigate the existence of 3-HMOLS(2nu1) with u ≥ 4, and prove that 3-HMOLS(2~u1) exist if n ≥ 54 and n ≥7/4u + 7.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of L 2-rigidity for von Neumann algebras, a generalization of property (T) which can be viewed as an analogue for the vanishing of 1-cohomology into the left regular representation of a group. We show that L 2-rigidity passes to normalizers and is satisfied by nonamenable II1 factors which are non-prime, have property Γ, or are weakly rigid. As a consequence we obtain that if M is a free product of diffuse von Neumann algebras, or if M=LΓ where Γ is a finitely generated group with β1 (2)(Γ)>0, then any nonamenable regular subfactor of M is prime and does not have properties Γ or (T). In particular this gives a new approach for showing solidity for a free group factor thus recovering a well known recent result of N. Ozawa.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors introduce and establish some properties of the atomic Hardy-type spaces { Xs ( Y ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {X_s \left( \mathcal{Y} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty } and the BMO-type spaces { BMO( Y, s ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y}, s} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty }. Let H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) be the known atomic Hardy space and L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) the subspace of fL 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) with integral 0. The authors prove that the dual space of X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) is BMO( Y,s )BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y},s} \right) when s ∈ (0,∞), X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) when s ∈ (0, 1], and X ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) (or L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right)). As applications, the authors show that if T is a linear operator bounded from H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) and from L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1,∞ ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), then for all r ∈ (1,∞) and s ∈ (r,∞], T is bounded from X r ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to the Lorentz space L 1,s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), which applies to the Calderón-Zygmund operator on (ℝ n , |·|, μ), the imaginary powers of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator on (ℝ n , |·|, d γ ) and the spectral operator associated with the spectral multiplier on (S, d, ρ). All these results generalize the corresponding results of Sweezy, Abu-Shammala and Torchinsky on Euclidean spaces.  相似文献

The σ-ideal (v 0) is associated with the Silver forcing, see [5]. Also, it constitutes the family of all completely doughnut null sets, see [9]. We introduce segment topologies to state some resemblances of (v 0) to the family of Ramsey null sets. To describe add(v 0) we adopt a proof of Base Matrix Lemma. Consistent results are stated, too. Halbeisen’s conjecture cov(v 0) = add(v 0) is confirmed under the hypothesis t = min{cf(c), r}. The hypothesis cov(v 0) = ω 1 implies that (v 0) has the ideal type (c, ω 1, c).   相似文献

As the main result, we show that if G is a finite group such that Γ(G) = Γ(2 F 4(q)), where q = 22m+1 for some m ≧ 1, then G has a unique nonabelian composition factor isomorphic to 2 F 4(q). We also show that if G is a finite group satisfying |G| =|2 F 4(q)| and Γ(G) = Γ(2 F 4(q)), then G2 F 4(q). As a consequence of our result we give a new proof for a conjecture of W. Shi and J.  In this paper we study laminar currents in ℙ2. Given a sequence of irreducible algebraic curves (C n ) converging in the sense of currents to T, we find geometric conditions on the curves ensuring that the limit current T is laminar. This criterion is then applied to meromorphic dynamical systems in ℙ2, and laminarity of the dynamical ``Green' current is obtained for a wide class of meromorphic self maps of ℙ2, as well as for all bimeromorphic maps of projective surfaces. Let X be a finite aspherical CW-complex whose fundamental group π 1(X) possesses a subnormal series with a non-trivial elementary amenable group G 0. We investigate the L 2-invariants of the universal covering of such a CW-complex X. The main result is the proof of the vanishing of the L 2-torsion under the condition that π 1(X) has semi-integral determinant. We further show that the Novikov–Shubin invariants are positive.  相似文献

We use microlocal and paradifferential techniques to obtain L 8 norm bounds for spectral clusters associated with elliptic second-order operators on two-dimensional manifolds with boundary. The result leads to optimal L q bounds, in the range 2⩽q⩽∞, for L 2 - normalized spectral clusters on bounded domains in the plane and, more generally, for two-dimensional compact manifolds with boundary. We also establish new sharp L q estimates in higher dimensions for a range of exponents q̅nq⩽∞. For a fixed prime p, let C p denote the complex p-adic numbers. For polynomials A, B ε C p [x] we consider decompositions A (x) f 2 (x) + B (x) g 2 (x) = 1 of entire functions f, g on C p and try to improve an impossibility result due to A. Boutabaa concerning transcendental f, g. We also provide a new proof of a p-adic diophantic statement due to D. N. Clark, which is an important ingredient of Boutabaa’s method.  相似文献

We show that if U* is a hypercover of a topological space X then the natural map hocolim U* X is a weak equivalence. This fact is used to construct topological realization functors for the 1-homotopy theory of schemes over real and complex fields. An atomic decomposition is proved for Banach spaces which satisfy some affine geometric axioms compatible with notions from the quantum mechanical measuring process. Chaundry and Jolliffe [1] proved that if a k is a nonnegative sequence tending monotonically to zero, then a necessary and sufficient condition for the uniform convergence of the series Σ k=1 a k sin kx is lim k→∞ ka k = 0. Lately, S. P. Zhou, P. Zhou and D. S. Yu [4] generalized this classical result. In this paper we propose new classes of sequences for which we get the extended version of their results. It is proved that the complex double Fourier series of an integrable functionf(x, y) with coefficients cjk satisfying certain conditions, will converge in L1-norm. The conditions used here are the combinations of Tauberian condition of Hardy-Karamata kind and its limiting case. This paper extends the result of Bray [1] to complex double Fourier series. We show that the Luzin area integral or the square function on the unit ball of ℂ n , regarded as an operator in the weighted space L 2(w) has a linear bound in terms of the invariant A 2 characteristic of the weight. We show a dimension-free estimate for the “area-integral” associated with the weighted L 2(w) norm of the square function. Very recently, Yu, Le and Zhou introduced the so called △B1^* and △B2^* conditions, which are generalizations of the monotone condition. By applying these two new conditions, the author essentially generalizes the classical results of Chen on the necessary and sufficient conditions of the Lp integrability of trigonometric series. In fact, the present paper gives the first result on the necessary and sufficient conditions of the Lp integrability of trigonometric series, where coefficients may have different signs.  相似文献

In this article we construct a new simply connected symplectic 4-manifold with b2+=1 and c12=2 which is homeomorphic, but not diffeomorphic, to a rational surface by using rational blow-down technique.
