The aggregation of the fluorescent hairy rod, anionic conjugated polyelectrolyte poly{1,4-phenylene-[9,9-bis(4-phenoxybutylsulfonate)]fluorene-2,7-diyl} (PBS-PFP) has been studied in aqueous solutions by molecular dynamics simulations, fluorescence and light scattering. Formation of clusters leads to considerable increases in light scattering, decreases in the fluorescence quantum yields and red shifts in emission maxima. Molecular dynamics simulations considering two isolated tetramers in aqueous solution show that they rapidly form aggregates, and support experimental evidence for the association of polymer chains involving both electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions. They also provide indications for proximity of aromatic rings, which is likely to be the main factor responsible for the observed fluorescence behaviour. However, there are no indications of extensive pi-stacking. The organic co-solvents methanol, acetonitrile and dioxane break up these aggregates. From studies of the dependence of the aggregation behaviour on dielectric constant or the empirical solvent parameters E(N)(T) and B(KT) for binary mixtures with water, it can be seen that this is not simply an effect of changing solvent polarity, but is due to preferential solvation of the polymer chains. This is supported by molecular dynamic simulations on two tetramers in water-dioxane mixtures (70:30%). It is suggested that similar factors are involved in both the association behaviour and aggregate disruption with other hairy rod conjugated polyelectrolytes in water.  相似文献

The interaction has been studied in aqueous solutions between a negatively charged conjugated polyelectrolyte poly{1,4-phenylene-[9,9-bis(4-phenoxybutylsulfonate)]fluorene-2,7-diyl} copolymer (PBS-PFP) and several cationic tetraalkylammonium surfactants with different structures (alkyl chain length, counterion, or double alkyl chain), with tetramethylammonium cations and with the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) by electronic absorption and emission spectroscopy and by conductivity measurements. The results are compared with those previously obtained on the interaction of the same polymer with the nonionic surfactant C12E5. The nature of the electrostatic or hydrophobic polymer-surfactant interactions leads to very different behavior. The polymer induces the aggregation with the cationic surfactants at concentrations well below the critical micelle concentration, while this is inhibited with the anionic SDS, as demonstrated from conductivity measurements. The interaction with cationic surfactants only shows a small dependence on alkyl chain length or counterion and is suggested to be dominated by electrostatic interactions. In contrast to previous studies with the nonionic C12E5, both the cationic and the anionic surfactants quench the PBS-PFP emission intensity, leading also to a decrease in the polymer emission lifetime. However, the interaction with these cationic surfactants leads to the appearance of a new emission band (approximately 525 nm), which may be due to energy hopping to defect sites due to the increase of PBS-PFP interchain interaction favored by charge neutralization of the anionic polymer by cationic surfactant and by hydrophobic interactions involving the surfactant alkyl chains, since the same green band is not observed by adding either tetramethylammonium hydroxide or chloride. This effect suggests that the cationic surfactants are changing the nature of PBS-PFP aggregates. The nature of the polymer and surfactant interactions can, thus, be used to control the spectroscopic and conductivity properties of the polymer, which may have implications in its applications.  相似文献

Poly[1-(9-carbazyl)-2,3-(diethoxycarbonyl)-butane-1,4-diyl] (I), obtained by radical copolymerization of 9-vinylcarbazole with diethylfumarate, has been characterized by viscometry and light scattering. The Huggins constant in benzene at 25 is kH = 0.33. The Mark-Houwink relationship suggests that benzene is a good solvent for the alternating copolymer I (a = 0.67; K = 1.46·10?2 ml/g). The unperturbed dimension of the chain is given by value (R02/M)0.5 = 5.73·10?9 cm·mol0.5 g?0.5. The steric factor σ = 2.51 indicates a higher flexibility for this polymer than for poly[1-(9-carbazyl)ethylene].  相似文献

New tetradentate Schiff-base polymers, in which phenylene units alternate with salicylideneiminato units, have been prepared by condensation of 2,5-(didodecyloxy)-1,4-bis(3-formyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)benzene (DFHB) with appropriate diamines in a mixed solution of CHCl3/toluene/acetic acid with 31-79% yields. DFHB as the key building block was prepared by the Suzuki reaction of 2,5-(didodecyloxy)benzene-1,4-diboronic acid with 5-bromosalicylaldehyde in a two-phase solution of tetrahydrofuran/water in the presence of NaHCO3/Pd(PPh3)4 in 45% yield. The molecular structures of the prepared compounds were identified by spectroscopy. Their absorption spectroscopic profiles have been analyzed.  相似文献

We report herein a general method for the synthesis of new types of chiral acyclic nucleoside four-carbon bisphosphonates. The alkylation of 2-amino-6-chloropurine and adenine was performed with (2S,3S)- or (2R,3R)-1,4-[bis(diisopropoxyphosphoryl)methoxy]]-3-[(methylsulfonyl)oxy]butan-2-yl benzoate. Alkylations provided (2R,3R) or (2S,3S) N9-substituted nucleobases, which were further converted to other derivatives. These conversions included either a modification of the nucleobase or transformation of the bisphosphonate chain. Subsequent deprotection of the diisopropyl esters with bromotrimethylsilane provided the resulting (2R,3R)- or (2S,3S)-bisphosphonic acids.  相似文献

The first unsymmetrically substituted polyfluorene bearing a bulky poly(benzyl ether) dendron and less bulky 3,6-dioxaoctyl groups in the 9-position was designed and synthesized, which gives almost a pure bluish photoluminescence with negligible weak greenish excimer emission around 520 nm even in a thermally annealed thin solid film.  相似文献

A novel photochromic diarylethene, 1,2-bis{2-ethyl-5-[2-(1,3-dioxolane)]-3-thienyl}perfluorocyclopentene (BEDTP), was synthesized and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Its photochromic and fluorescent properties were also investigated. The results showed that this compound exhibited reversible photochromism, changing from colorless to magenta after irradiation with UV light both in solution and in the crystalline phase. In hexane solution, the open-ring isomer of BEDTP exhibited relatively strong fluorescence at 400 nm when excited at 282 nm. The fluorescence intensity decreased along with the photochromism upon irradiation with 254 nm light and its closed-ring isomer showed almost no fluorescence.  相似文献

合成了三种长链多芳环多胺基客体, 它们分别由三种醛基吡啶异构体与4,4'-二氨基二苯甲烷形成的Schiff碱还原而成, 并得到1H NMR以及质谱分析方法表征证实. 以核磁共振技术、紫外吸收光谱分析方法以及滴定1H NMR方法为研究手段, 对瓜环(cucurbit[n]urils, n=6~8)分别与三种4,4'-二[N-(吡啶甲基)氨基]二苯甲烷盐酸盐相互作用进行了考察. 实验结果表明, 六元瓜环与三种4,4'-二[N-(吡啶甲基)氨基]二苯甲烷盐酸盐相互作用均形成物质的量之比为2∶1的哑铃型包结配合物; 八元瓜环与三种N,N'-二(N-(吡啶甲基)二苯甲烷盐酸盐相互作用形成以类轮烷结构为主的包结配合物; 七元瓜环与三种N,N'-二(N-(吡啶甲基)二苯甲烷盐酸盐相互作用存在多种模式的竞争.  相似文献

A pyrrole-functionalized monomer 2-[3-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)phenyl]-1H-pyrrole (PyPhPy) was synthesized. The structure of monomer was investigated by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H NMR) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The chemical polymerization of PyPhPy (CPyPhPy) was realized using FeCl3 as the oxidant. The electrochemical oxidative polymerization of polymer P(PyPhPy) and its copolymer with 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene poly(2-[3-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)phenyl]-1H-pyrrole-co-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) [P(PyPhPy-co-EDOT)] were achieved via potentiodynamic method by using NaClO4/LiClO4 as the supporting electrolyte in CH3CN. Characterizations of the resulting polymers were performed by cyclic voltammetry (CV), FTIR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-Visible spectrophotometry (UV-Vis) and thermogravimetry analyses (TGA). Electrical conductivity of CPyPhPy, P(PyPhPy), and P(PyPhPyco-EDOT) were measured by four-probe technique.  相似文献

In order to determine the counter-anion effect on conductivity of poly[N-(3,6,9-trioxadecyl)-4-vinylpyridinium)] backbone in aqueous solutions, a set of three polyelectrolytes with three different counter-ions: poly[N-(3,6,9-trioxadecyl)-4-vinylpyridinium]bromide P4VP164Br and its chlorate and tosylate derivatives P4VP164ClO4 and P4VP164Ts respectively, were prepared by spontaneous polymerization of 4-vinylpyridine. This method gives a grafted polyelectrolyte having a positive charge on each pyridinic moiety on the backbone. The conductivities of cationic polyelectrolyte aqueous solution were determined in the concentration range from 10−4 to 10−2 M at 25 °C. The variation of the conductivity versus concentration of the investigated system exhibits a typical polyelectrolyte behavior. The polycation mobility was found to be dependent on the counter-anion nature. Thus, the polyelectrolyte conductivity increases with the ion size. This shows that big ions are weakly or not associated to the backbone.In order to confirm this steric hindrance, we have considered the conductivities of these three anions Br, ClO4 and Ts in their sodium salts, both alone and in the presence of 3,6,9-trioxadecanol (PEO164) free chains. In the two cases, the conductivities decrease in the order ΛBr>ΛClO4>ΛTs.These results suggest that counter-ion mobility is mainly influenced by steric effect PEO164 grafted chains.Values of the conductivity predicted from Manning rod-like polyelectrolyte model were compared with our experimental results.  相似文献

A dicarboxylic acid ( I ) was prepared from the condensation of 9,9-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy) phenyl] fluorene and trimellitic anhydride. A new family of poly(amide-imide)s having inherent viscosities of 0.75-1.04 dL/g was prepared by the triphenyl phosphite activated polycondensation from the diimide-diacid I with various aromatic diamines in a medium consisting of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), pyridine, and calcium chloride. Most of the resulting polymers showed an amorphous nature and were readily soluble in polar solvents such as NMP and N,N-dimethylacetamide. All the soluble poly(amide-imide)s afforded transparent, flexible, and tough films. The glass transition temperatures of these polymers were in the range of 262–325°C and the 10% weight loss temperatures were above 525°C in air. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The structures of products 19 and of its exo ( 21 ) and endo ( 22 ) [Fe(CO)3(1,3-diene)]complexes) and 20 (and of its exo ( 23 ) and endo (24) (Fe(CO)3(1,3-diene)complexes) were confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies of crystalline (1RS, 2SR, 3RS, 4RS, 4aRS, 9aSR)-tricarbonyl[C, 2,3, C-η-(1,4-epoxy-1,5-bis(dimethoxymethyl])-2,3-dimethylidene-1,2,3,4,4a,9,9a,10-octahydroanthracene)iron ( 21 ). In the latter, the Fe(CO)3(1,3-diene) moiety deviates significantly from the usual local Cs symmetry. The polymers poly[(2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolane‐4yl) methyl acrylate] (PDMDMA) and four‐armed PDMDMA with well‐defined structures were prepared by the polymerization of (2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolane‐4yl) methyl acrylate (DMDMA) in the presence of an atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) initiator system. The successive hydrolyses of the polymers obtained produced the corresponding water‐soluble polymers poly(2,3‐dihydroxypropyl acrylate) (PDHPA) and four‐armed PDHPA. The controllable features for the ATRP of DMDMA were studied with kinetic measurements, gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and NMR data. With the macroinitiators PDMDMA–Br and four‐armed PDMDMA–Br in combination with CuBr and 2,2′‐bipyridine, the block polymerizations of methyl acrylate (MA) with PDMDMA were carried out to afford the AB diblock copolymer PDMDMA‐b‐MA and the four‐armed block copolymer S{poly[(2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxolane‐4yl) methyl acrylate]‐block‐poly(methyl acrylate)}4, respectively. The block copolymers were hydrolyzed in an acidic aqueous solution, and the amphiphilic diblock and four‐armed block copolymers poly(2,3‐dihydroxypropyl acrylate)‐block‐poly(methyl acrylate) were prepared successfully.
