We consider, in a smooth bounded multiply connected domain DR2, the Ginzburg-Landau energy subject to prescribed degree conditions on each component of ∂D. In general, minimal energy maps do not exist [L. Berlyand, P. Mironescu, Ginzburg-Landau minimizers in perforated domains with prescribed degrees, preprint, 2004]. When D has a single hole, Berlyand and Rybalko [L. Berlyand, V. Rybalko, Solution with vortices of a semi-stiff boundary value problem for the Ginzburg-Landau equation, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS), in press, 2008, http://www.math.psu.edu/berlyand/publications/publications.html] proved that for small ε local minimizers do exist. We extend the result in [L. Berlyand, V. Rybalko, Solution with vortices of a semi-stiff boundary value problem for the Ginzburg-Landau equation, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS), in press, 2008, http://www.math.psu.edu/berlyand/publications/publications.html]: Eε(u) has, in domains D with 2,3,… holes and for small ε, local minimizers. Our approach is very similar to the one in [L. Berlyand, V. Rybalko, Solution with vortices of a semi-stiff boundary value problem for the Ginzburg-Landau equation, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS), in press, 2008, http://www.math.psu.edu/berlyand/publications/publications.html]; the main difference stems in the construction of test functions with energy control.  相似文献

The paper examines the long term problems of operational research through an analysis of OR as a system. The general environment will change as a result of the transformations occurring within the developed societies and of the mutations in the North-South relations; the interaction between OR, mass media and public opinion will be influenced by the emerging ideologies; the naive conceptions of the division of labour between policy makers and OR specialists will have to be revised as OR studies will be more and more developed for governments through national administrations, international organizations or public opinions; the formulation of goals will no longer be separated from the search for institutions liable to elaborate suitable goals; the tendency towards a systems analysis inspired by general systems theory should be reinforced; and finally the OR people will have to rethink the relations between their applied studies, the central core of OR itself and the various social sciences. Time seems to have come for an epistemology and a prospective study of OR.  相似文献

The problem of finding the singularities of monotone vectors fields on Hadamard manifolds will be considered and solved by extending the well-known proximal point algorithm. For monotone vector fields the algorithm will generate a well defined sequence, and for monotone vector fields with singularities it will converge to a singularity. It will also be shown how tools of convex analysis on Riemannian manifolds can solve non-convex constrained problems in Euclidean spaces. To illustrate this remarkable fact examples will be given.  相似文献

In this paper a new linearization procedure based on Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) will be presented. The procedure begins with solving nonlinear differential equation by HPM. This will be done by evaluation of the time response of a nonlinear dynamic. An equivalent Laplace transform of the time response will be obtained. In the preceding, the effect of an external excitation i.e. input, will be removed from the model to find an approximate linear model for the nonlinear dynamic. The effectiveness of the procedure is verified using a heat transfer nonlinear equation. Ultimately, both HPM based linear model and that of nonlinear have been controlled via a closed loop PID controller. The simulation result shows the significance of the proposed technique.  相似文献

This paper presents the procedure to understand the contact mechanism of the hybrid transducer type piezoelectric ultrasonic motor with two stators by using finite element analysis. First, the vibration mode of a stator will be calculated and analyzed using the commercial finite element program package ANSYS. The computed resonance frequencies of the stator will be presented in the frequency domain, in term of input admittance analysis. After that the distribution of the elliptic path of motion of a particle on the stator surface area will be studied. Finally, the contact condition between the stator and the rotor will be addressed in the computation. Abstract

Boundary value problems and variational inequalities, associated with second order elliptic operators, will be studied in a Hilbert space framework. In this space, functions will have (at least) locally square integrable derivatives of order up to two. Also the conormal derivative, extended by continuity, will be square integrable on the boundary of the region considered. Criteria for approximating elements of the Hilbert space by smooth functions will be given and thus closed convex sets, associated with inequalities on the boundary, exist.

The idea of the present approach originated from the method suggested by Lions and Magenes, for putting some regular elliptic problems in the variational setting. The differential equation is multiplied by Qv, with Q some operator and v a function and the result is integrated as required.  相似文献

The notion of exceptional family of elements for general order complementarity problems in Banach spaces will be introduced. It will be shown that for general order complementarity problems defined by completely continuous fields the problem has either a solution or an exceptional family of elements. Learning management in the field of didactics demands an evaluation of knowledge and aptitudes which is as precise as possible. The treatment of subjective data will be facilitated by the ‘fuzzy subset theory ‘, a new theory particularly interesting for those connected with the social sciences. Objective data will be dealt with by multicriteria analysis, more precisely, by simultaneously using the Iphigenia method and the hierarchical analysis method.

This will permit us to effect a single partition in a group of students, that is to say, to distribute them into some number of disjointed aggregates.

To each aggregate, we associate a state function characterized by a vector having a component for each evaluated aptitude. If the evaluations succeed each other, each individual will be guided across the different delineated learning steps with maximum efficiency.  相似文献

A fuzzy-stochastic OWA model for robust multi-criteria decision making   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
All realistic Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problems face various kinds of uncertainty. Since the evaluations of alternatives with respect to the criteria are uncertain they will be assumed to have stochastic nature. To obtain the uncertain optimism degree of the decision maker fuzzy linguistic quantifiers will be used. Then a new approach for fuzzy-stochastic modeling of MCDM problems will be introduced by merging the stochastic and fuzzy approaches into the OWA operator. The results of the new approach, entitled FSOWA, give the expected value and the variance of the combined goodness measure for each alternative. Robust decision depends on the combined goodness measures of alternatives and also on the variations of these measures under uncertainty. In order to combine these two characteristics a composite goodness measure will be defined. The theoretical results will be illustrated in a watershed management problem. By using this measure will give more sensitive decisions to the stakeholders whose optimism degrees are different than that of the decision maker. FSOWA can be used for robust decision making on the competitive alternatives under uncertainty.  相似文献

由于在动脉管外侧牢牢地粘附着结缔组织,而且这些结缔组织是一种粘弹体。为了分析周围粘弹组织对动脉中脉动流的影响,本文将周围结缔组织考虑为Voigt粘弹体,由动脉管内血液流动方程(Navier-Stokes方程)与管壁运动方程(Lamb方程)导出动脉管中脉搏波波速的一般表达式与管内脉动流的速度表达式。Womersley关于不存在周围组织约束的结果[4]与仅考虑周围组织是纯弹性体的结果[6]都做为本文结果的特例而包含在本文的结果之中。  相似文献

In this paper the dynamic effects due to rotation of spinning circular structures will be discussed by analytical, experimental and numerical investigations. Basic phenomena of spinning are studied on the analytical solution of a spinning ring. The observed effects will be underlined by rather simple experimental investigations on a rotating wine glass. Based on this fundamental knowledge special attention has to be payed to the finite element modeling and implementation of the eigenvalue analysis of gyroscopic systems, which requires the numerical solution in complex numbers. Besides the influence of rotational speed, the disturbances due to rolling contact will be discussed on rotating tubes as well as detailed finite element models of rolling tires. 本文研究的是由两个部件串联组成且有两种故障状态的系统的预防维修策略, 当系统的工作时间达到T时进行预防维修, 预防维修使部件恢复到上一次故障维修后的状态。每个部件发生故障都有两种状态, 可维修和不可维修。当部件的故障为可维修故障时, 修理工对其进行故障维修, 且每次故障维修后的工作时间形成随机递减的几何过程, 每次故障后的维修时间形成随机递增的几何过程。当部件发生N次可维修故障或一次不可维修故障时进行更换。以部件进行预防维修的间隔和更换前的可维修故障次数N组成的二维策略(T, N) 为策略, 利用更新过程和几何过程理论求出了系统经长期运行单位时间内期望费用的表达式, 并给出了具体例子和数值分析。  相似文献

In a recent paper, I introduced new moduli of smoothness for functions on the sphere which did not use averages and, as a result, had some interesting properties. The direct, Jackson-type, estimate of the best approximation by spherical harmonics using the new moduli will be proved here. Equivalence with the appropriate K-functionals will be given. Relations with the moduli used earlier will be shown and used to prove new results for these moduli.  相似文献

Logical relations occur frequently in integer programming problems and are modelled by introducing binary variables in association with linear expressions. Applications requiring constraints involving precedence, exclusion, implication and other conditions give rise to the logical relations OR and IMPLIES in the models. These relations will be considered in this paper from a modelling point of view and formulations investigated for situations where the logical variables link sets of integer variables. Valid inequalities (cuts) that can be added to a model will be developed for a number of the formulations and the computational benefits of these cuts will be considered from an experimental point of view by considering the performance of sets of problem instances. New formulations and combinations of older established formulations will be considered. It will be contended that tight formulations may not always be the most successful.  相似文献

In this paper, we will discuss the mixed boundary value problems for the second order elliptic equation with rapidly oscillating coefficients in perforated domains, and will present the higher-order multiscale asymptotic expansion of the solution for the problem, which will play an important role in the numerical computation . The convergence theorems and their rigorous proofs will be given. Finally a multiscale finite element method and some numerical results will be presented. Linear regression models with vague concepts extend the classical single equation linear regression models by admitting observations in form of fuzzy subsets instead of real numbers. They have recently been introduced [cf. Krätschmer, Induktive statistik auf basis unscharfer meßkonzepte am beispiel linearer regressionsmodelle, Unpublished Habilitation Monograph, Faculty of Law and Economics of the University of Saarland, Saarbrücken, 2001] to improve the empirical meaningfulness of the relationship between the involved items by a more sensitive attention to the problems of data measurement, in particular the fundamental problem of adequacy. The parameters of such models are still real numbers, and a method of estimation can be applied which extends directly the ordinary least-squares method. This paper deals with some first asymptotic properties of estimators obtained by the method. Firstly, strong consistency will be shown, and secondly, the convergence rate will be investigated. The later result will be the starting point for a future study which will calculate the limit distributions of the estimators.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to develop new numerical procedures to detect micro cracks, or superficial imperfections, in thin plates using excitation by Rayleigh waves. We shall consider a unilateral contact problem between the two sides of the crack in an elastic plate subjected to suitable boundary conditions in order to reproduce a single Rayleigh wave cycle. An approximate solution of this problem will be calculated by using one of the Newmark methods for time discretization and a finite element method for space discretization. To deal with the nonlinearity due to the contact condition, an iterative algorithm involving one multiplier will be used; this multiplier will be approximated by using Newton's techniques. In this article the hyperbolic unit ball in R m will be identified with the manifold of rays in the future null cone in R m+1. By means of the induced Clifford algebra structure there, one can introduce a definition of Dirac operators on sections of homogeneous line bundles. An infinite class of solutions for the resulting hyperbolic Dirac-equation will be constructed, in case of an odd dimension. In order to obtain these solutions a geometrical picture will be used, because each ray in the future cone will be identified with a point on a surface Σ in the future cone. The original Dirac-equation can then be rewritten in terms of the coordinates on this surface, and the resulting equation will be solved by means of Frobenius' method.  相似文献
