采用半导体激光二极管泵浦12cm长高掺铒光纤,在双程前向装置中,获得了10.8mW最大超荧光输出功率,斜率效率10.6%,在1553.1~1588.6nm接近36nm的范围内,功率抖动小于0.2dBm。作为比较,在相同实验条件下泵浦10cm长的高掺铒光纤,结果显示输出光谱带宽明显下降,C波段的放大自发辐射远大于L波段的,由此也证明了L波段的放大自发辐射是由C波段的放大自发辐射泵浦产生的。  相似文献

We present experimental demonstration of an end-pumping scheme based on splicing the multimode pump and single-mode signal fibers directly to a double-clad fiber with a tailored cross section. The method is used to pump a double-clad, erbium- and ytterbium-doped, fiber ring laser. The efficiency of the end-pumping method is tested by determining the slope efficiencies of the fiber ring laser and the fiber laser in a Fabry-Perot configuration. Comparable slope efficiencies are found when both laser configurations have similar output coupler ratios. The developed pumping scheme and double-clad fiber can find applications in cost-effective power fiber amplifiers and lasers.  相似文献

We examine the characteristics of a P2O5-doped Raman fiber laser pumped by a double-clad ytterbium-doped fiber laser in an intra-cavity configuration. The double-clad fiber laser consists of two high reflection fiber Bragg gratings at 1092 nm, with an active length of 17 m, where the output grating is located at the end of the 400m P2O5-doped fiber. The Raman cavity is formed by a 1278-nm-high reflection fiber Bragg grating spliced to the double-clad fiber, and a 50% output coupler. The maximum conversion efficiency at 1278 nm with respect to the input pump power at 915 nm was 26.9%.  相似文献

The compact super-fluorescent fiber source(SFS) output spectra variations at different pump currents and under different dose of gamma-ray radiation were measured and compared respectively. The radiation-induced attenuation(RIA)self-compensating effect in SFS based on photo-bleaching was found and the general mathematic model of SFS output spectra variations was made. The radiation-induced background attenuation(RIBA) at the pump wavelength was identified to be the main cause of the total output power and spectra variations and the variations can then be compensated by active control of the pump power to enhance the self-compensating effect. With closed-loop feedback control of pump current,double-pass backward(DPB) configuration and spectrum re-shaping technology, an SFS prototype was made and tested.The mean-wavelength stability of about 87.4 ppm and output power instability of less than 5% were achieved under up to200 krad(Si) gamma-ray irradiation.  相似文献

采用大模面积双包层掺镱光纤作为增益介质搭建了一台双程前向超荧光光纤光源,该光源的输出功率随泵浦源注入电流的增加基本呈线性增加,最大输出功率为341 mW。其独特的优势是现实了掺镱光纤最宽的超荧光输出,在输出功率从201~341 mW之间,超荧光光谱的3 dB带宽超过80 nm。其输出功率虽然不是很高,但是在一般情况下能够满足人们对超荧光的需求。从镱离子的能级结构和镱离子在石英基质中的吸收截面与发射截面出发,分析了能够得到最宽超荧光输出的物理原因。这台双包层掺镱超荧光光纤光源由于充分利用了镱离子在1 025和1 075 nm附近的超荧光辐射,因而能够得到3 dB带宽为80 nm的超荧光输出。  相似文献

对强泵浦下线形腔掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器输出特性进行了理论和实验研究。通过数值模拟,分析了泵浦光及激光在光纤中的分布、输出功率与泵浦功率的关系、光纤长度及腔镜反射率对激光输出功率的影响。在实验中,利用D型掺Yb3+双包层光纤获得了输出功率10 6W的光纤激光输出,斜率效率达86%。测量了在不同输出耦合条件下的输出功率、阈值泵浦功率和斜率效率,理论分析与实验结果基本一致,为进一步提高光纤激光器功率提供了理论和实验依据。  相似文献

从包层泵浦光纤激光器的速率方程理论出发,推导出了稳态下包层泵浦光纤激光器的输出功率,斜率效率和阈值功率的解析表达式,进行了数值模拟,对模拟结果进行了简单分析。并进行了实验研究,实验采用中心波长为975nm的激光二级管单端泵浦内包层形状为D型的包层光纤,利用二相色镜和光纤端面反馈构成谐振腔,采用了两套不同的准直耦合系统,得到的最高输出功率为24W,总的光-光转换效率为53.5%。  相似文献

为了获得高功率、宽带宽及谱平坦的长波段掺铒光纤光源,基于2级双程芯泵浦,应用偏振复用技术实现泵浦瓦级供给,在泵浦总功率和光纤总长度都不变的情况下,数值分析了4种光源结构的输出特性受泵浦和光纤分配比例的影响。结果表明,4种结构基本都能工作于L波段(1 565 nm~1 610 nm),带宽受结构影响较小,但只有双程后向+双程后向结构可同时拥有高输出功率和高平坦度。其在总泵浦功率750 mW,第一级泵浦功率为300 mW,第二级泵浦功率为450 mW时,和光纤总长度21 m,第一级光纤长度为18 m,第二级光纤长度为3 m时,可实现输出功率314 mW,带宽32.41 nm,中心波长1 584.84 nm,平坦度2.23 dB的L波段超荧光光源。  相似文献

A ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber laser generating up to 1026 W of continuous-wave output power at 1085 nm with a slope efficiency of 74% by single-ended backward pumping configuration is reported. The core diameter was 20 μm with a low numerical aperture of 0.06, and a good beam quality (BPP < 1.8 mm mrad) is achieved without special mode selection methods. No undesirable roll-over was observed in output power with increasing pump power, and the maximum output power was limited by the available pump power. The instability of maximum output power was better than ±0.6%. Different pumping configurations were also compared in experiment, which shows good agreements with theoretical analyses.  相似文献

The output characteristics of a linear cavity Yb-doped double-clad fiber (DCF) laser, including the effects of fiber length, fiber loss, and output mirror reflectivity on laser output power and threshold pump power have been studied theoretically and experimentally. In this paper, the linear cavity of double-clad fiber laser (DCFL) was composed of a pair of fiber Bragg gratings, while the facet of fiber was anti-reflection (AR) coated at 1070nm to erase the Fresnel reflection. Analysis showed that the laser output increases as the reflectivity of the fiber Bragg grating used as the output mirror decreases. At last, under the pump power of 14.4 W, single-mode laser output at 1070 nm was up to 10.8 W, with slope efficiency of 75 %.  相似文献

介绍了掺铒超荧光光纤光源(SFS)的基本原理和SFS各种基本结构的特点。结合实际应用选择了单程后向(SPB) SFS作为光纤陀螺用光源。理论分析了影响单程后向掺铒超荧光光纤光源输出特性的各种因素。通过实验分析了铒纤长度对单程后向掺铒光纤光源泵浦效率和输出光谱的影响,特别是对中心波长稳定性的影响,对于单程后向结构掺铒光纤光源来说,铒纤长度有一个最佳值。演示了铒纤在选择最佳长度的情况下,泵浦功率对输出谱型的影响。通过实验分析了-40℃~60℃之间光源输出光谱和输出光功率的温度稳定性。最终得到了适用于惯导级光纤陀螺的光源。  相似文献

Numerical analysis is investigated for the high-power double-clad fiber lasers and experimental results using different microscope objectives for focusing into a Nd-doped rectangular double-clad fiber also performed. The numerical analysis includes dependence of output power on output mirror reflectivity, absorbed pump power, loss, and fiber length and pump power distribution for the cases of one-end and two-end pumps with 20 dB/km loss. Calculated conversion efficiencies are 76.36%, 69.73%, and 63.84% for lossless, two-end pump, and one-end pump fiber lasers, respectively. Slope efficiencies from absorbed pump power/output powers measured using microscope objectives are 16.8%/182 mW, 53.8%/351 mW, 24.9%/1240 mW, and 13.9%/649 mW for magnifications of 5×, 10×, 20×, and 40×, respectively.  相似文献

报道了利用一对光纤光栅作为双包层Yb^3 掺杂光纤激光器的谐振腔,激光二极管光纤模块(LD)进行了抽运,并采用锥形光纤实现了全光纤化结构,获得了高功率双包层光纤激光器。光纤光栅通常是用融接技术实现与双包层光纤的一体化连接的,采用的双包层光纤为内包层为梅花瓣形结构的掺Yb^3 离子的石英光纤,采用的抽运源为中心波长为970nm的半导体激光光纤输出模块,在抽运源电流达到2.4A时,获得了10.8W的光纤激光器单横模输出,输出波长1100.5nm,峰值半峰全宽(FWHM)为0.54nm,激光器斜效率为59%。  相似文献

The output characteristics of ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber lasers (YDCFLs) with different pump schemes are compared numerically in detail. The results show that the backward pumped YDCFL with pump reflection for double-pass scheme has the highest conversion efficiency, the most suitable for saving pump powers. As a result of the maximum output power per meter occurring in the forward pumped YDCFL with pump reflection, it means that this kind of pump scheme is preferable for saving YDCF lengths. Moreover, the output characteristic of the bi-directional pumped YDCFL is between forward and backward pumped ones.  相似文献

With a tapered double-clad all-glass ytterbium fiber as a gain medium, a maximum output power of over 200 W at 1079 nm and a slope efficiency of over 70% were demonstrated. The tapered double-clad fiber concept allows for using low-brightness diode bars and results in cost-effective and efficient high-power fiber lasers. The adiabatic conical fiber gain waveguide combines improved pump absorption owing to enhanced mode mixing in the pump cladding, low-noise single fundamental mode operation with M(2)< or =1.02, and strong potential for significant power scaling.  相似文献

The threshold characteristics of linear cavity Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber laser have been studied theoretically and experimentally. By solving rate equations, the expression for threshold pump power is obtained. The effects of fiber length, mirror reflectivity, pump wavelength, laser wavelength and Yb3+ concentration on threshold pump power are discussed. Then, the Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber laser with linear cavity is developed. By using various output couplers, threshold pump power has been measured. A spectrum-sliced multi-wavelength fiber source (SS-MWFS) based on double-pass superfluorescent fiber source (SFS) with a reflection Mach-Zehnder filter (RMZF) as the reflected comb filter is demonstrated.With backward pumped configuration, MWFS with 50 wavelength channels of extinction ratio (ER) of 16.7 dB is obtained over the almost total C-band gain region. Total output power of the MWFS is 16.2 mW which shows that a power of about 0.3 mW of per channel is achieved. The SS-MWFS with forward pumped configuration is also discussed for comparing. The backward pumped configuration can provide a larger output power while only a little smaller ER than that of the forward pumped configuration.  相似文献

A double-pass forward configuration superfluorescent fiber source (SFS) based on erbium-doped photonic crystal fiber (EDPCF) with a high intrinsic mean wavelength stability is presented. The main factors of SFS instability with temperature variation are analyzed. Optimization of the high-stable SFS is achieved by combining high-performance EDPCF, optimal fiber length, and source structure with fine-tuning pump power. The temperature dependence of the SFS mean wavelength has been reduced to below 0.077 ppm/°C with temperature variation from 70 to ?40 °C. To the best of our knowledge, this value is the closest to 0 ppm/°C in the reported references, and these new developments probably constitute an important step for high-accuracy interferometric fiber-optic gyroscope sources.  相似文献

在多模掺镱双包层光纤上,利用相位掩模法直接写制Bragg光栅作为激光器后腔镜,得到多波长激光输出.在室温下,通过调节偏振控制器可以得到稳定的单波长及多波长的激光输出,输出波长范围在1 056~1 061 nm,线宽均小于0.02 nm.在25 W的976 nm激光泵浦下,激光器得到功率为6 W的多波长输出.  相似文献
