Ferrocene derivatives constitute an important class of organometallic compounds with not only an extensive range of biological activities but also diverse industrial as well as material science applications. These stimulating features of ferrocene derivatives spurred us to review the recent advances in synthesis methods and biological and other applications reported in the latest literature. An effort has been made to summarize the recent developments in synthetic methods providing access to ferrocene scaffolds and the useful medicinal and material applications, including agricultural, catalytic, polymer, conducting, redox mediating, ferrocenyl stationary phase, rocket propellant and ion sensing applications. Ferrocene‐based bulky metallocenes are also discussed.  相似文献

Glycopolymers as multivalent clusters of carbohydrate derivatives have been proven effective tools in the study of carbohydrate-based biological processes and have shown great potential in biomedical applications. It has been found that the shape and size of glycopolymers, as well as the density and relative positioning of their glycan appendages, are very important regarding their effectiveness in bio-interactions. Recently, a variety of chain-end functionalized polymers have been explored for the preparation of structurally well-defined glycopolymers that have potential protein modification and microarray fabrication applications. This review summarizes recent advances in the synthesis and biomedical applications of chain-end functionalized glycopolymers.  相似文献

This review deals with the synthesis and applications of 2,2′:6′,2″‐terpyridines which are functionalized with thiophene ring, directly linked to the terpyridine core or via a spacer. Two main methodologies were used, ring closure of diketo‐derivatives and cross coupling reactions. The obtained compounds find applications in various fields especially in material sciences such as solar cells or macromolecular sciences.  相似文献

Chromenes are part of an important class of heterocyclic compounds, natural or synthetic, and have many biological and chemical applications. Among them, chromenopyridines has arisen as a promising material for pharmacological applications. In this work is described a simple and cost-effective method to synthesize chromeno[4,3-b]pyridine derivatives from multicomponent reaction between 4-aminocoumarin, benzaldehyde derivatives, and ethyl benzoylacetates catalyzed by niobium pentachloride. The new method provides good yields with reasonable reaction times, under mild reaction conditions.  相似文献

A literature survey revealed that a great deal of interest has been focused on the synthesis of functionalized pyrazole derivatives due to their synthetic and biological potentialities. The pharmacological activities that have been found for some pyrazole derivatives include selective enzyme inhibition, antiviral, estrogen receptor agonist, anti‐inflammatory, anticancer, antiobesity, and antitumor properties. Other activities such as potential inhibitors of HIV‐1, pesticides, fungicides, and antihypertensive agents were reported for other pyrazole derivatives. This review summarizes the synthetic methods and reactions of 3‐acetyl‐pyrazoles, 4‐acetyl‐pyrazoles, and 3,4‐di‐acetyl‐pyrazoles. Most reaction types have been successfully applied and used in the production of biologically active compounds. The aim of this review is to focus mainly on the utility of acetylpyrazole derivatives in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds during the period 1990–2018.  相似文献

A one-step Rh-catalyzed site-selective ortho-C−H alkynylation of perylene as well as naphthalene mono- and diimides is reported. A single step regioselective access to ortho-C−H alkynylated derivatives of these ryleneimides not only increases the step economy of the ortho-functionalization on these dyes but also provides a quick access route towards highly functionalized dyes that have potential optoelectronic applications. Increased solubility of tetra(triisopropylsilyl)acetylenyl PDIs in organic solvents greatly enhances their utility for further derivatization.  相似文献

Polymeric resins are practically important adsorbents in a wide variety of applications, but they generally suffer from low surface areas and limited functionalized adsorption sites owing to their closely compacted and tangled polymeric chains. A metal–organic framework (MOF)–polymer composite with enhanced adsorption capacity against the compacted polymeric resins was reported. The strategy to incorporate functionalized oligomer within the cavities of the MOF was demonstrated by the preparation of MIL‐101(Cr) incorporated with N‐methyl‐d ‐glucamine‐based organosiloxane polymer. The resulting MOF composite shows high efficiency for the removal of boric acid from water because of exceptionally high loading of functional groups responsible for the boron adsorption. This material offers promising perspectives for boron removal applications in seawater desalination.  相似文献

Abstract

In recent years, derivatives of polyethylene glycol (PEG) have proven valuable in a variety of diverse chemical and biological endeavors. Such applications include peptide synthesis, phase transfer catalysis, pharmaceutical modification, protein and cell purifications, polymer-bound reagents, and binding assays. Because of the great deal of interest surrounding this subject, this review will describe generally applicable laboratory methods for preparing PEG derivatives from the parent PEG. We have largely restricted discussion to this starting material because most research laboratories interested in applications are not equipped to handle complex ethylene oxide polymerizations used in large-scale industrial preparations and because PEG and some of its ethers and esters are the only commonly available polymeric starting materials. For the purpose of this review, PEG is defined as those polyoxyethylenes having hydroxyl endgroups and a molecular weight of 20,000 daltons or less.  相似文献

The copper(II)-catalyzed reaction of alkenyldiazo compounds with iodosylbenzene leading to β-oxodiazo derivatives is reported. This process occurs via an unprecedented 1,2-shift of the diazoacetate function. A selection of the synthetic applications of a representative member of this new class of functionalized diazo derivatives in the regioselective synthesis of substituted 1,4-dicarbonyl compounds is also reported.  相似文献

The synthesis of functionalized β-lactam-substituted, tricyclic chromenoisoxazolidine and tetracyclic naphthopyranoisoxazolidine derivatives by intramolecular nitrone cycloaddition reaction is described. The O-allyl hydroxyaldehyde derivatives, obtained from Baylis–Hillman adducts (BHA) derived from β-lactam aldehyde underwent intramolecular cycloaddition reaction to give β-lactam-substituted, polycyclic isoxazolidine derivatives in good yield. All the products were confirmed by spectral analysis. The products with a β-lactam substituent may find good applications in biological chemistry.  相似文献

The current review is focused on the routes for the synthesis, chemical properties and reactivity of sp2- and sp3-carbon-metalated triazines and tetrazines. The reported experimental data for the known compounds and intermediates including the alkali, alkaline earth, transition, and other groups 1 to 14 metal and metalloid derivatives of triazines and tetrazines were systematized. This review describes the design strategies used for the synthesis of various tetracyanobutadiene bridged donor-acceptor molecular architectures by a click type [2+2] cycloaddition-retroelectrocyclization (CA-RE) reaction sequence. The photophysical and electrochemical properties of the tetracyanobutadiene bridged molecular architectures based on various moieties including diketopyrrolopyrrole, isoindigo, benzothiadiazole, pyrene, pyrazabole, truxene, boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY), phenothiazine, triphenylamine, thiazole and bisthiazole are summarized. Further, we discuss some important applications of the tetracyanobutadiene bridged derivatives in dye sensitized solar cells, bulk heterojunction solar cells and photothermal cancer therapy.  相似文献

Coumarin has shown considerable therapeutic potency because of its versatile biological prosperities. Also, pyridines have been adopted in medicinal chemistry as potent ring. Moreover, several investigations reported the potency of thiazole-containing compounds. So, during this research, new functionalized 2-pyridinone and thiazole derivatives bearing coumarin moiety were aimed to synthesize. Many trials to obtain the 6-amino-2-oxo-pyridine-3,5-dicarbonitriles through the condensation of cyanoacetohydrazone of 3-acetyl coumarin with 2-(arylidene)malononitriles were carried out using different reaction conditions. In all cases, the reaction gave none of the corresponding 2-pyridinone derivatives except the reaction with 2-(benzylidene)-malononitrile afforded product in few yield. Moreover, the reaction of another cyanoacetanilide with the 2-(arylidene)-malononitrile afforded the unexpected arylidene derivatives rather than the expected pyridin-2-one derivatives. Finally, new thiazoles bearing coumarin moiety were synthesized using 3-acetylcoumarin N-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-thiosemicarbazone. Cyclization of thiosemicarbazone derivative with ethyl 2-chloroacetate, chloroacetone or phenacyl bromide afforded in high yields the corresponding derivatives of thiazolidin-4-one, 4-methylthiazole or 4-phenylthiazole, respectively.  相似文献

A new low‐band gap dyad DPP‐Ful, which consists of covalently linked dithiafulvalene‐functionalized diketopyrrolopyrrole as donor and fullerene (C60) as the acceptor, has been designed and synthesized. Organic solar cells were successfully constructed using the DPP‐Ful dyad as an active layer. This system has a record power‐conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2.2 %, which is the highest value when compared to reported single‐component organic solar cells.  相似文献

The very concept of dye and pigment chemistry that was long known to the industrial world underwent a radical revision after the discovery and commercialization of dyes such as mauveine, indigo, and so on. Apart from their conventional role as coloring agents, organic dyes, and pigments have been identified as indispensable sources for high-end technological applications including optical and electronic devices. Simultaneous with the advancement in the supramolecular chemistry of π-conjugated systems and the divergent evolution of organic semiconductor materials, several dyes, and pigments have emerged as potential candidates for contemporary optoelectronic devices. Of all the major pigments, diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) better known as the ‘Ferrari Pigment’ and its derivatives have emerged as a major class of organic functional dyes that find varied applications in fields such as industrial pigments, organic solar cells, organic field–effect transistors, and in bioimaging. Since its discovery in 1974 by Farnum and Mehta, DPP-derived dyes gained rapid attention because of its attractive color, synthetic feasibility, ease of functionalization, and tunable optical and electronic properties. The advancement in supramolecular polymerization of DPP-based small molecules and oligomers with directed morphological and electronic features have led to the development of high performing optoelectronic devices. In this review, we highlight the recent developments in the optoelectronic applications of DPP derivatives specifically engineered to form supramolecular polymers.  相似文献

This review provides a comprehensive survey relating to the synthesis and biological applications of pyrazolines and related heterocycles in the last five years (2007–2011). These compounds are usually prepared from the cyclization of chalcones with hydrazine and its derivatives under the alcoholic conditions. The major incentive behind the synthesis of these compounds was the immense biological activities associated to these heterocyclic derivatives.
