On Injective and Cofibrant Equivariant Minimal Models

Let X be a G-connected nilpotent simplicial set, where G is a finite Hamiltonian group. We construct a cofibrant equivariant minimal model of X with the strong homotopy type of the injective minimal model of X defined by Triantafillou.     

Hodge decomposition theorem on strongly K?hler Finsler manifolds

Faran posed an open problem about analysis on complex Finsler spaces: Is there an analogue of the -Laplacian? Is there an analogue of Hodge theory? Under the assumption that (M, F) is a compact strongly K?hler Finsler manifold, we define a -Laplacian on the base manifold. Our result shows that the well-known Hodge decomposition theorem in K?hler manifolds is still true in the more general compact strongly K?hler Finsler manifolds. A Korovkin type approximation theorems via $$\mathcal{I}$$ -convergence

Using the concept of -convergence we provide a Korovkin type approximation theorem by means of positive linear operators defined on an appropriate weighted space given with any interval of the real line. We also study rates of convergence by means of the modulus of continuity and the elements of the Lipschitz class.     

Projectively condensed semigroups,generalized completely regular semigroups and projective orthomonoids

The class of projectively condensed semigroups is a quasivariety of unary semigroups, the class of projective orthomonoids is a subquasivariety of . Some well-known classes of generalized completely regular semigroups will be regarded as subquasivarieties of . We give the structure semilattice composition and the standard representation of projective orthomonoids, and then obtain the structure theorems of various generalized orthogroups. Projective modules and prime submodules

In this paper, we use Zorn’s Lemma, multiplicatively closed subsets and saturated closed subsets for the following two topics (i) The existence of prime submodules in some cases (ii) The proof that submodules with a certain property satisfy the radical formula. We also give a partial characterization of a submodule of a projective module which satisfies the prime property.     

A Modal Logic Based on Linearly Ordered f-Spaces

A modal logic associated with the -spaces introduced by Ershov is examined. We construct a modal calculus that is complete w.r.t. the class of all strictly linearly ordered -frames, and the class of all strictly linearly ordered -frames.     

From Scalar to Vector Optimization

Initially, second-order necessary optimality conditions and sufficient optimality conditions in terms of Hadamard type derivatives for the unconstrained scalar optimization problem ϕ(x) → min, x ∈ ℝ ^m , are given. These conditions work with arbitrary functions ϕ: ℝ ^m → ℝ, but they show inconsistency with the classical derivatives. This is a base to pose the question whether the formulated optimality conditions remain true when the “inconsistent” Hadamard derivatives are replaced with the “consistent” Dini derivatives. It is shown that the answer is affirmative if ϕ is of class (i.e., differentiable with locally Lipschitz derivative). Further, considering functions, the discussion is raised to unconstrained vector optimization problems. Using the so called “oriented distance” from a point to a set, we generalize to an arbitrary ordering cone some second-order necessary conditions and sufficient conditions given by Liu, Neittaanmaki, Krizek for a polyhedral cone. Furthermore, we show that the conditions obtained are sufficient not only for efficiency but also for strict efficiency.     

Eden-Staudacher and Beisert-Eden-Staudacher equations in the $$\mathcal{N} = 4$$ supersymmetric gauge theory

We investigate the Eden-Staudacher and Beisert-Eden-Staudacher equations for the anomalous dimension of twist-2 operators at a large spin s in the supersymmetric gauge theory. We reduce these equations to a set of linear algebraic equations and calculate their kernels analytically. We demonstrate that in the perturbation theory, the anomalous dimension is a sum of products of the Euler functions ζ(k) having the maximum transcendentality property. We also show that at a large coupling, the “singular” solution of the Beisert-Eden-Staudacher equation reproduces the anomalous dimension constants predicted from the string side of the AdS/CFT correspondence. __________ Translated from Teoreticheskaya i Matematicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 155, No. 1, pp. 117–129, April, 2008.     

Optimal Ternary Linear Rate 1/2 Codes

In this paper, we classify all optimal linear[n, n/2] codes up to length 12. We show that thereis a unique optimal [10, 5, 5] code up to equivalence.     

A Note on $$\aleph$$ -Spaces and g-Metrizable Spaces

In this paper, we give the mapping theorems on -spaces and g-metrizable spaces by means of some sequence-covering mappings, mssc-mappings and π-mappings.     

Sur la cohomologie à supports compacts des variétés de Shimura pour GSp(4)_\mathbb{Q}

In this paper we compute the cohomology with compact supports of a Siegelthreefold as a virtual module over the product of the Galois group of over and the Hecke algebra. We use a method which has been developed by Ihara, Langlands and Kottwitz: comparison of the Grothendieck--Lefschetz formula and the Arthur--Selberg trace formula.     

Double Circulant Codes over \mathbb{Z}_4 and Even Unimodular Lattices

With the help of some new results about weight enumerators of self-dual codes over we investigate a class of double circulant codes over , one of which leads to an extremal even unimodular 40–dimensional lattice. It is conjectured that there should be Nine more constructions of the Leech lattice     

On indecomposable modules over the Virasoro algebra

It is proved that an indecomposable Harish- Chandra module over the Virasoro algebra must be (i) a uniformly bounded module, or (ii) a module in Category , or (iii) a module in Category , or ( iv) a module which contains the trivial module as one of its composition factors.     

On <Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis>-nilpotency of finite groups*

Let be a class of groups. A subgroup H of a group G is called -s-supplemented in G, if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G = HK and K/K ∩ H_G belongs to where H_G is the maximal normal subgroup of G which is contained in H. The main purpose of this paper is to study some subgroups of Fitting subgroup and generalized Fitting subgroup -s-supplemented and some new criterions of p-nilpotency of finite groups are obtained. *This research is supported by the grant of NSFC and TianYuan Fund of Mathematics of China (Grant #10626047).     

On a theorem of Cantor-Bernstein type for algebras

Freytes proved a theorem of Cantor-Bernstein type for algbras; he applied certain sequences of central elements of bounded lattices. The aim of the present paper is to extend the mentioned result to the case when the lattices under consideration need not be bounded; instead of sequences of central elements we deal with sequences of internal direct factors of lattices. On copies of c 0 in the bounded linear operator space

In this note we study some properties concerning certain copies of the classic Banach space c ₀ in the Banach space of all bounded linear operators between a normed space X and a Banach space Y equipped with the norm of the uniform convergence of operators.     

Strong laws of large numbers for weighted sums of $$\tilde \rho $$ -mixing random variables

Strong laws are established for linear statistics that are weighted sums of a -mixing random sample. The results obtained generalize the results of Baxter et al. [SLLN for weighted independent indentically distributed random variables, J. Theoret. Probab. 17 (2004), 165–181] to -mixing random variables. Kubilius-Type Sequences of Additive Functions
