For a large class of independent (site or bond, short- or long-range) percolation models, we show the following: (1) If the percolation densityP (p) is discontinuous atp c , then the critical exponent (defined by the divergence of expected cluster size, nP n (p) (P c P) asp p c ) must satisfy 2. (2) or (defined analogously to, but asp p c ) and [P n (p c ) (n –1–1/) asn ] must satisfy, 2(1 – 1/). These inequalities for improve the previously known bound 1(Aizenman and Newman), since 2 (Aizenman and Barsky). Additionally, result 1may be useful, in standardd-dimensional percolation, for proving rigorously (ind>2) that, as expected,P x has no discontinuity atp c .  相似文献

The critical dynamics of the Syozi model for dilute ferromagnetism is considered by the use of master equations. The dynamics is soluble as it is assumed that the time scale of motion on the sublattice on which the impurities move is so much faster than on the other sublattice that fast relaxing variables may be adiabatically eliminated, leaving a new soluble master equation. It is found that the linear and non-linear relaxation of magnetization exponents (l) and (nl) increase on dilution to (l)/(1–) and (nl)/(1–) respectively ( is the specific heat exponent for the pure system, which itself changes on dilution to –/(1–)). Thus if the exponents for the pure system obey the scaling law of Rácz and Fisher (nl)= (l)– ( is the magnetization exponent which changes on dilution to /(1–)) then so do the exponents for the diluted system. Similarly the exponent for spin diffusion changes on dilution to /(1–).  相似文献

For 2D percolation we slightly improve a result of Chayes and Chayes to the effect that the critical exponent for the percolation probability isstrictly less than 1. The same argument is applied to prove that ifL():={(x, y):x=r cos, y=r sin for some r0, or} and():=limpp c [log(pp c )]–1 log Pcr {itO is connected to by an occupied path inL()}, then() is strictly decreasing in on [0, 2]. A detailed phenomenological re-analysis of previously published conductivity data, (T, x), is presented. It is based on the investigation of differences, (T, x 1)–(T, x 2). In this way, the cusp-like low-temperature term is amplified against the other temperature dependent contributions. This term can be described by wherep=0.19±0.03. It is present, if (4.2 K,x) exceeds 260 –1 cm–1, at least up to (4.2 K,x)1350 –1 cm–1 and forT60 K. But it is absent, if (4.2 K,x)180 –1 cm–1. The disappearance of this contribution should be related to the metal-semiconductor transition, taking place atx c 0.14. On the other hand, the presence of a term proportional toT 1/2, as predicted by Altshuler and Aronov, seems unlikely.It is argued that the term should be related to the interplay of electron-electron interaction and disorder. The comparison with data from the literature shows that this contribution might also be present in heavily doped crystalline semiconductors.  相似文献

The dispersion of the third-order electric susceptibilities(; , , –) and(; , 0, 0) of NaCl and KCl monocrystals has been calculated by means of experimental data on the electro-optic Kerr effect. The result has been obtained by using semi-classical models of anharmonic oscillators. An ionic contribution to the electro-optic coefficients has been presented. From the result obtained it follows that the third-order electric susceptibilities are of the order of 10–22 m2 V–2.  相似文献

Experimental-computational spectra of the permittivity and characteristic losses –Im–1 for energies in the range 5–21 eV at a temperature of 4.2 K and theoretical spectra of and –Im–1 of a fluorite crystal are resolved into elementary transition bands. The parameters of transition bands (energies of their maxima E i, band halfwidths H i and areas S i, and oscillator forces f i) are determined. A correlation of the spectral bands of and –Im–1is established, and their specific features are elucidated.  相似文献

For potentialsV=V(x)=O(|x|–2–) for |x|,x3 we prove that if theS-matrix of (–, –+V) has an analytic extension to a regionO in the lower half-plane, then the family of generalized eigenfunctions of –+V has an analytic extension toO such that for |Imk|<b. Consequently, the resolvent (–+Vz 2)–1 has an analytic continuation from + to {kOImk|<b} as an operator from b ={f=e b|x| g|gL 2(3)} to b . We derive the hydrodynamic (Euler) approximation for the harmonic time evolution of infinite classical oscillator system on one-dimensional lattice 1 It is known that equilibrium (i.e., time-invariant attractive) states for this model are translationally invariant Gaussian ones, with the mean 0, which satisfy some linear relations involving the interaction quadratic form. The natural parameter characterizing equilibrium states is the spectral density matrix function (SDMF)F(), [– , ). Time evolution of a space profile of local equilibrium parameters is described by a space-time SDMFF(t;x, ) t, xR 1. The hydrodynamic equation forF(t; x, ) which we derive in this paper means that the normal mode profiles indexed by are moving according to linear laws and are mutually independent. The procedure of deriving the hydrodynamic equation is the following: We fix an initial SDMF profileF(x, ) and a familyP ,>0 of mean 0 states which satisfy the two conditions imposed on the covariance of spins at various lattice points: (a) the covariance at points close to the value –1 x in the stateP is approximately described by the SDMFF(x, ); (b) The covariance (on large distances) decreases with distance quickly enough and uniformly in. Given nonzerotR 1, we consider the states P –1 ,>0, describing the system at the time moments –1 t during its harmonic time evolution. The classical non-linear Schrödinger equation associated with a symmetric Lie algebra =km is known to possess a class of conserved quantities which from a realization of the algebrak []. The construction is now extended to provide a realization of the Kac-Moody algebrak[, –1] (with central extension). One can then define auxiliary quantities to obtain the full algebra [, –1]. Lower-order terms in expansions of the equations of General Relativity in powers of v/c (post-Newtonian approximations) have long been a source of analogies with em theory. A classic textbook example is the steadily spinning sphere generating a constant dipole gravitomagnetic field, with its associated vector potential B* 0 = × (analog of the magnetic field B of a spinning charged sphere). In the nonsteady case there are associated gravitoelectric fields E* = – t – * also, where * is the gravitational Coulomb potential. The case of a rigid sphere spun up from rest by an external (nongravitational) torque at t = 0 is enlightening, as it demonstrates the generation of B* and E* wave fields propagating outward with the velocity of light c: for large t, B* B* 0. In a coordinate system for which the metric tensor is nearly equal to the Minkowski tensor, the three-vector potential obeys an equation isomorphic to the electrodynamic equation, that is, 2 = –*j* with j* = –v, where is the mass density, v the three-velocity, and * = 16Gc–2 = 3.7 × 10–26 mksu, G being the gravitational constant. Significantly, one can construct a gauge invariant four-vector potential F* = (ic–14*, ), obeying field equations isomorphic to Maxwell's in the Lorentz gauge F , = 0. The traveling transient dipole field exerts torques on matter in its path, setting up shear strains that may be measurable for very large momentum transfers, for example, between massive astronomical bodies. The experimental results obtained with the chalcogenide glass Ge15Te81S2As2 with imposed overall pressure up to 700 MPa are presented. The material exhibits the switching effect and the memory effect. It is shown that the overall pressure changes remarkably d.c. electrical conductivity of the amorphous semiconductor. It is assumed that the changes in conductivity are caused by changes in activation energy. The changes in activation energy within the range of considered pressures are, as follows from our measurements, E/p–10·95×10–5 eV/MPa +p × 10·41 W 10–7 eV/MPa2. The assumption of the activation energy dependence on pressurep are confirmed also by measurements of dependence In vs. 1/T at various pressures.  相似文献

Slow production via dd-CF using a two-layer arrangement is investigated. To determine its feasibility, experimental measurements are now in progress using the muonic X-ray detection method. The following experimental steps are being considered: (1) measurement of the number of stopped inside a solid H2/D2 layer by detecting p K X-rays, (2) hot d emission detection by placing a secondary target at a distance of 10–30 mm from the layer and by detecting specific delayed X-rays, (3) measurement of the disappearance of d emission as the added D2 layer is increased, (4) dd-CF measurement by detecting fusion protons, and (5) slow emission detection. Results of the initial test experiment are presented.  相似文献

The entire sodium ion content of sodium alumina (Na1.67Mg0.67Al10.33O17) can be replaced with a variety of lanthanide ions by simple diffusion reactions at moderate temperatures (500–700°C). Lanthanide alumina crystals are hard, clear, chemically stable, and have well-defined crystal structures. The fluorescence spectrum of Nd3+ in alumina is similar to that in YAG. The lifetime of the4 F 3/2 state of Nd3+ in completely-exchanged alumina (350s at 1021 Nd3+ cm–3) is about 45% longer than in YAG (240s at 1020Nd3+ cm–3). The lanthanide aluminas may be of considerable interest as new phosphor and laser host materials.  相似文献

Nucleon polarizations are examined in the hypernucleus decays5He, 4He + p + ,4H, 3H + p + , and4H, 3He + n + . The effect of the strong interaction in the final state is taken into account. A significant role is predicted for the resonance interaction in the p-4He system in the formation of the proton polarization in the5He decay. Results of the first elastic K S o regeneration experiment on carbon, using magnetic spark chamber spectrometer, are presented in the beam momentum interval 10p50 GeV/c. The d ifferentia cross section d/dt is reconstructed in the range 0·0025–t0·02 (GeV/c)2 and its slopeB is found to be momentum independent with an average valueB=(65±11) (GeV/c)–2. The results are in agreement with the calculations using the coherent production model.  相似文献

Thin film samples (10–20 thick) of niobium-nickel alloys in the composition range Nb-5 to 95 at % Ni were vapour quenched by R. F. sputtering onto fused quartz substrates held at a temperature of 450 K. It was found that fully glassy alloys were synthetized in the composition range Nb-30 to 85 at % Ni, 2·5 times larger than reported for splat-quenched alloys. Crystallization temperatures exhibited maxima near the eutectic composition and are comparable to those of splat-quenched materials. At room temperature, the electrical resistivity of these alloys lies between 176–210 cm, and the absolute thermoelectric power S between 2·20–2·52 V/K. On increasing the temperature from 4·2 to 775 K, up to which the amorphous alloys are stable, the resistivity of the alloy with=0·50 decreases by about 1·5%; the value of d/dT progressively increases with increasing Ni content, becoming positive at 0·50dS/dT of all alloys lies between 6–8·5×10–3V deg–2. The electrical behaviour of these alloys may be treated in terms of electron scattering in disordered structures assuming the nearly free-electron model, in a manner analogous to Ziman's theory of electronic transport in liquid metals.  相似文献

Transient soliton dynamics for perturbatively driven and damped sG and 4 solitons was found fort –1. The perturbed solitons remain stable with relativistic reduced time-dependent width. Internal oscillation modes of the solitons are asymptotically damped fort –1. A new, time-local (TL) reduced equation of motion for the probability distribution of excitations in a disordered system is developed. ToO(k2) the TL equation results in a Gaussian spatial probability distribution, i.e, P(r, t) = [(2)1/2]–dexp(-r2/22), where = (t) is a correlation length, andr = ¦r¦. The corresponding distribution derived from the Hahn-Zwanzig (HZ) equation is more complicated and assumes the asymptotic (r ) form: P(r, s)(s d )–1exp(–r/) · (r/)(1-d)/2 where = (s),d is the space dimensionality, ands is the Laplace transform variable conjugate tot. We consider translation-invariant attractive spin systems. And (2)T ,x v /ET ,x v converges to a unit mean exponential random variable as ¦¦ . Both (1) and (2) are proven under some type of rapid convergence to equilibrium. (1) is also proven without extra conditions for Ising models with ferromagnetic pair interactions evolving according to an attractive reversible dynamics; in this case is a thermodynamic function. The triton energy of the muon capture reaction 3He t+v, where 3 He is the ground state of muonic3He, has been measured in order to investigate a possible heavy v admixture into the flavour with high sensitivity. 3 He has been formed via the pd fusion reaction by stopping in an ionization chamber (IC) filled with an H/D gas mixture of 3% D concentration at a pressure of 161 bar. In a first short experiment 650 triton events were observed yielding an upper limit for the -heavy v mixing strength of 2.3×10–3 atE 0v=60 MeV.  相似文献
