Z-scan analysis of high-order nonlinear refraction effect induced by using elliptic Gaussian beam 下载免费PDF全文
The irradiance of an elliptic Gaussian beam that is high
enough to excite high-order nonlinear refraction effect is used to
calculate the normalized on-axis transmittance function in the z-scan
technique by introducing complex beam parameters which make the
calculation simpler. The transmittance formula is applied to the
first-, first two-, and first three-order nonlinearities. Numerical
evaluation shows that the symmetry no longer holds when using an
elliptic Gaussian beam instead of a circular Gaussian beam. A
distortion is observed in the central part of the curve, which
decreases as ellipticity increases. Moreover, the variation of the
normalized peak-valley difference decreases as ellipticity

An analysis of self focusing of an elliptic Gaussian laser beam, propagating through a medium with saturable nonlinearity
has been presented. It has been established that stationary self trap propagation of the beam is not possible. Though stationary
self trap propagation does not occur, one can define a virtual threshold power for self focusing. Above this threshold power
value, but not far from it, the beam focuses; below this threshold value it defocuses. As a whole three different defocusing

单光束激光Z-扫描技术是利用光束的横向特性来研究材料的光学非线性的,其灵敏度的提高有助于测量微弱折射率变化。从入射光束、调制方式、光束检测等方面论述了Z-扫描技术的灵敏度。顶环光束入射相对于标准Z-扫描技术的高斯光束入射其灵敏度可提高2.5倍,但要求光源的输出能量达到一定值,仅适用于测定较小的非线性相移;在光路中插入调制元件后放大因子可达到780,但调节光路难以调节焦移效应。利用CCD作为探测器的TPDZ-扫描技术能够测量小于λ/15000的非线性相位畸变,CCD能够充分获得光束的横向信息,有望成为另一种测量光学非线性的常用方法。 相似文献

在同时考虑非线性折射和非线性吸收的情况下,借助光的衍射理论,研究了Z-扫描技术的衍射理论模型,分析了非线性折射和非线性吸收同时存在时Z-扫描曲线的形状特征和变化规律。数值计算表明,非线性吸收相移和非线性折射相移的比值是影响接收小孔输出光功率的重要因素。要想得到好的光限幅效果,应选取非线性相移比值远小于1或远大于2的非线性材料。 相似文献

By using the Rytov method, we formulate and numerically evaluate the scintillations of Laguerre Gaussian beams in weak atmospheric
turbulence. Our results indicate that at on-axis positions, Laguerre Gaussian beams with zero angular mode number will have
less scintillations than fundamental Gaussian beams, where the amount of scintillations will further decrease with rising
radial mode number. When off-axis positions are considered, this situation reverses however, and the scintillations of Laguerre

By means of numerical simulations, we analyze the scintillation characterization for multiple incoherent uplink Gaussian beams under weak fluctuations cases. Because truly independent beams are difficult to create, we present a more general but approximate model for the multiple of beams traveling through partially correlated paths. This model compares with wave-optics simulations and highlights the reduced correlation coefficient as the beam separation is increased. The scintillation index of three and six incoherent uplink Gaussian beams is also induced. The result shows that the scintillation index decreases with the increase of beams amount and beam separation. When the beams amount and strength of atmospheric turbulence are fixed, the reduction of scintillation index is affected by the ratio of beams separation and the Fried length. The measurement of the blood glucose level utilizing the optical nonlinearity observed by a single-optical beam Z-scan technique is proposed. The glucose level is calculated by measuring the nonlinear refractive index (n 2) of the sample.
