We use the matrix product formalism to find exact ground states of two new spin-1 quantum chains with nearest neighbor interactions. One of the models, model I, describes a one-parameter family of quantum chains for which the ground state can be found exactly. In certain limit of the parameter, the Hamiltonian turns into the interesting case . The other model which we label as model II, corresponds to a family of solvable three-state vertex models on square lattices. The ground state of this model is highly degenerate and the matrix product states is a generating state of such degenerate states. The simple structure of the matrix product state allows us to determine the properties of degenerate states which are otherwise difficult to determine. For both models we find exact expressions for correlation functions.  相似文献

The formulae for the free energy, when the driving distributions in Generalized Random Energy Model (GREM) are of the form for γ ≥ 1 are derived. The large deviation technique allows the use of different distributions at different levels of the GREM. As an illustration we consider, in detail, a two level GREM with exponential and Gaussian distributions. This simple case itself leads to interesting phenomena.  相似文献

The ground state entropy of the 2D Ising spin glass with +1 and −1 bonds is studied for L×M square lattices with LM and p=0.5, where p is the fraction of negative bonds, using periodic and/or antiperiodic boundary conditions. From this we obtain the domain wall entropy as a function of L and M. It is found that for domain walls which run in the short, L direction, there are finite-size scaling functions which depend on the ratio , where d S =1.22±0.01. When M is larger than L, very different scaling forms are found for odd L and even L. For the zero-energy domain walls, which occur when L is even, the probability distribution of domain wall entropy becomes highly singular, and apparently multifractal, as becomes large.  相似文献

Isothermal remanent magnetization decay,M r(t), and ‘in-field’ growth of zero-field-cooled magnetization,M ZFC(t), with time have been measured over four decades in time at temperatures ranging from 0.25T c to 1.25T c (whereT c is the Curie temperature, determined previously for the same sample from static critical phenomena measurements) for a nearly ordered intermetallic compound Ni3Al, which is an experimental realization of a three-dimensional (d = 3) ferromagnet with weak quenched random-exchange disorder. None of the functional forms ofM r(t) predicted by the existing phenomenological models of relaxation dynamics in spin systems with quenched randomness, but only the expressions and closely reproduce such data in the present case. The most striking features of magnetic relaxation in the system in question are as follows: Aging effects are absent in bothM r t andM ZFC(t) at all temperatures in the temperature range covered in the present experiments. A cross-over in equilibrium dynamics from the one, characteristic of a pured = 3 ferromagnet with complete atomic ordering and prevalent at temperatures away from Tc, to that, typical of ad = 3 random-exchange ferromagnet, occurs asT → Tc. The relaxation times τ1(T)(τ1 (T)) and τ2(T)(τ2 (T)) exhibit logarithmic divergence at critical temperatures and ; and both increase with the external magnetic field strength,H, such that at any given field value, . The exponent characterizing the logarithmic divergence in τ 1 (T) and τ 2 T possesses a field-independent value of ≃16 for both relaxation times. Of all the available theoretical models, the droplet fluctuation model alone provides a qualitative explanation for some aspects of the present magnetic relaxation data  相似文献

We used IR spectroscopy and electron spin resonance (ESR) to investigate defect reconstruction processes occurring in diamond crystals due to their implantation with H+ ions with energies of 65–350 keV and subsequent isochronous annealing in the temperature range 250–1550°C. We found that most of the hydrogen in diamonds implanted with protons is in an IR-inactive state. We have investigated the ground state phase diagram of the 1D AF spin- Heisenberg model with the staggered Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction in an external uniform magnetic field H. We have used the exact diagonalization technique. In the absence of the uniform magnetic field (H=0), we have shown that the DM interaction induces a staggered chiral phase. The staggered chiral phase remains stable even in the presence of the uniform magnetic field. We have identified that the ground state phase diagram consists of four Luttinger liquid, staggered chiral, spin-flop, and ferromagnetic phases.  相似文献

We consider the mean spin direction (MSD) of superpositions of two spin coherent states (SCS) | ± μ〉, and superpositions of | μ〉 and | μ*〉 with a relative phase. We find that the azimuthal angle exhibits a π transition for both states when we vary the relative phase. The spin squeezing of the states, and the bosonic counterpart of the mean spin direction are also discussed.   相似文献

We investigate the phase decoherence effects on the entanglement of a two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg model with a nonuniform magnetic field in the x–z-plane. As a measure of the entanglement, the concurrence of the system is calculated. It is shown that when the magnetic field is along the z-axis, the nonuniform and uniform components of the field have no influence on the entanglement for the cases of and , respectively. But when the magnetic field is not along the z-axis, both the uniform and the nonuniform components of the field will introduce the decoherence effects. It is found that the effects of the Heisenberg chain's anisotropy in the Z-direction on the entanglement are dependent on the direction of the field. Moreover, the larger the initial concurrence is, the higher value it will exhibit during the time evolution of the system for a proper set of the parameters ν, Δ, θ, γ , B and b.  相似文献

Summary We have investigated the ground state of a single hole in the half-filled Hubbard model on a 2D square lattice using the coupled-cluster method. In particular we obtained an analytical expression of the hole energy dispersion function ɛ(k) which is consistent with earlier studies on thet-J model in the strong-coupling limit. An appreciable discrepancy on the hole energy bandwidth is, however, observed between the Hubbard model and thet-J model. We believe that this discrepancy is due to the absence of the three-site interaction term in thet-J model.  相似文献

Abnormalities in cerebral blood flow (CBF) are believed to play a significant role in the development of major neonatal neuropathologies. One approach that would appear ideal for measuring CBF in this fragile age group is arterial spin labeling (ASL) since ASL techniques are noninvasive and quantitative. The purpose of this study was to assess the accuracy of a pulsed ASL method implemented on a 3-T scanner dedicated to neonatal imaging. Cerebral blood flow was measured in nine neonatal piglets, the ASL–CBF measurements were acquired at two inversion times (TI) (1200 and 1700 ms), and CBF was measured by perfusion computed tomography (pCT) for validation. Perfusion CT also provided images of cerebral blood volume, which were used to identify large blood vessels, and contrast arrival time, which were used to assess differences in arterial transit times between gray and white matter. Good agreement was found between gray matter CBF values from pCT (76±1 ml/min per 100 g) and ASL at TI=1700 ms (73±1 ml/min per 100 g). At TI=1200 ms, ASL overestimated CBF (91±2 ml/min per 100 g), which was attributed to substantial intravascular signal. No significant differences in white matter CBF from pCT and ASL were observed (average CBF=60±1 ml/min per 100 g), nor was there any difference in contrast arrival times for gray and white matter (0.95±0.04 and 0.99±0.03 s, respectively), which suggests that the arterial transit times for ASL were the same in this animal model. This study verified the accuracy of the implemented ASL technique and showed the value of using pCT to study other factors that can affect ASL–CBF measurements.  相似文献

We compute the magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of the spin- Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice with high-temperature expansions and exact diagonalizations. We compare the results with the experimental data on ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2 obtained by Helton et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 98, 107204 (2007)]. Down to kBT/J≃0.2, our calculations reproduce accurately the experimental susceptibility, with an exchange interaction J≃190 K and a contribution of 3.7% of weakly interacting impurity spins. The comparison between our calculations of the specific heat and the experiments indicate that the low-temperature entropy (below ~20 K) is smaller in ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2 than in the kagome Heisenberg model, a likely signature of other interactions in the system.  相似文献

In this study, we investigate the tunneling conductance at a finite temperature in a normal metal/ferromagnetic superconductor nano-junction where the ferromagnetic superconductor (FS) is in three different cooper pairing states: spin singlet s-wave pairing (SWP), spin triplet opposite spin pairing (OSP), and spin triplet equal spin pairing (ESP) while including Fermiwave mismatch (FWM) and effective mass mismatch (EMM) in two sides of the nano-junction. We find that the conductance shows clearly different behaviors all depending on the symmetries of cooper pairing in a mannerthat the conductance spectra shows a gap-like structure, two interior dipsstructure and zero bias peak for SWP, OSP, and ESP, respectively. Also, theeffective FS gap (δeff) is a linear and decreasing function of exchange field. The slope of (δeff) versus exchange field for OSP is twice the SWP. Thus, we can determine the spin polarization of N/FS nano-junction based on the dependence of (δeff) to exchange field.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the structure of a general framed vertex operator algebra (VOA). We show that the structure codes (C,D) of a framed VOA V satisfy certain duality conditions. As a consequence, we prove that every framed VOA is a simple current extension of the associated binary code VOA V C . This result suggests the feasibility of classifying framed vertex operator algebras, at least if the central charge is small. In addition, the pointwise frame stabilizer of V is studied. We completely determine all automorphisms in the pointwise stabilizer, which are of order 1, 2 or 4. The 4A-twisted sector and the 4A-twisted orbifold theory of the famous moonshine VOA are also constructed explicitly. We verify that the top module of this twisted sector is of dimension 1 and of weight 3/4 and the VOA obtained by 4A-twisted orbifold construction of is isomorphic to itself. Using the perturbation method, we theoretically study the spin current and its heat effect in a multichannel quantum wire with Rashba spin—orbit coupling. The heat generated by the spin current is calculated. With the increase of the width of the quantum wire, the spin current and the heat generated both exhibit period oscillations with equal amplitudes. When the quantum-channel number is doubled, the oscillation periods of the spin current and of the heat generated both decrease by a factor of 2. For the spin current js,xy, the amplitude increases with the decrease of the quantum channel; while the amplitude of the spin current js,yx remains the same. Therefore we conclude that the effect of the quantum-channel number on the spin current js,xy is greater than that on the spin current js,yx. The strength of the Rashba spin—orbit coupling is tunable by the gate voltage, and the gate voltage can be varied experimentally, which implies a new method of detecting the spin current. In addition, we can control the amplitude and the oscillation period of the spin current by controlling the number of the quantum channels. All these characteristics of the spin current will be very important for detecting and controlling the spin current, and especially for designing new spintronic devices in the future.  相似文献

热自旋电子学器件结合了自旋电子学和热电子学各自的优点,对人类可持续发展具有重要作用.本文研究了锯齿形BN纳米带(ZBNRs)共价功能化碳纳米管(SWCNT)的电子结构,发现ZBNRs-B-(6,6)SWCNT为磁性半金属,nZBNRs-B-(6,6)SWCNT(n=2—8)为磁性金属;nZBNRs-N-(6,6)SWCNT(n=1—8)为双极化铁磁半导体;4ZBNRs-B-(4,4)SWCNT和4ZBNRs-N-(4,4)SWCNT为磁性半金属,4ZBNRs-B-(m,m)SWCNT(m=5—9)为磁性金属;4ZBNRs-N-(m,m)SWCNT(m=5—9)为双极化铁磁半导体.然后,基于锯齿形BN纳米带共价功能化碳纳米管设计了新型热自旋电子学器件,发现基于ZBNRs-N-(6,6)SWCNT的器件具有热自旋过滤效应;而8ZBNRs-N-(6,6)SWCNT和nZBNRs-B-(6,6)SWCNT(n=1,8)都存在自旋相关塞贝克效应.这些发现表明BN纳米带功能化碳纳米管在热自旋电子学器件方面具有潜在的应用.  相似文献
