离子反轰会造成直流高压电子枪内光阴极的量子效率衰减,降低阴极的工作寿命和稳定性,是限制光阴极直流高压电子枪性能的重要因素之一。基于中国工程物理研究院太赫兹自由电子激光(THz-FEL)的直流高压电子枪,通过束流动力学模拟和阴极量子效率测量,研究了束流偏轴发射对离子反轰的抑制作用及其应用限制。模拟结果表明:束流偏轴发射时,离子主要轰击阴极的电中心附近,光电发射区域的离子通量较轴上发射时降低约95%;但束流发射度增大约4 mmmrad,横向运动幅度增加约1倍。通过电子枪运行前后阴极量子效率测量,发现束流偏轴发射时离子反轰引起电中心附近量子效率大面积的衰减,而光电发射区域量子效率损失较小,验证了束流偏轴发射抑制离子反轰的可行性。  相似文献

根据光阴极直流高压电子枪超高真空和高电压工作特点,采取技术措施,金属腔体采用大通径、短管设计,利用非蒸散型吸气剂(NEG)泵的抽气,封闭储气空间预置排气通道,电极系统增加中间电极,降低系统峰值场强,采用均压环非均匀分布,在绝缘子内表面获得更加均匀的场分布。结果表明,腔体真空度已小于5×10-9 Pa,电压可升至300kV。  相似文献

对光阴极电子注入器中金属光阴极的热发射度进行了理论研究.金属光阴极的热发射度由两部分构成.一方面对于理想平坦的阴极,光电子穿越表面势垒后有一定的残余动能,造成一定的热发射度,这部分前人已经做过一些理论研究.本文改进已有的模型,进一步给出了理想平坦光阴极的热发射度.另一方面,阴极表面的粗糙度将造成热发射度的增加,本文首次解析地分析了表面粗糙度对光阴极电子枪热发射度的影响,得到表面粗糙度造成的热发射度的估计公式.本文对金刚石车削后的铜、镁的表面形貌进行了测量,表明粗糙度造成的热发射度大约0.4mm·mrad.本文的热发射度理论能够较好的解释目前国际上铜、镁阴极的热发射度的测量结果.  相似文献

介绍了上海深紫外自由电子激光用光阴极微波电子枪采用发射度补偿技术的结果 .详细分析了线性空间电荷力的特点及对束流发射度的影响 ,从束流动力学和相空间两方面讨论了发射度补偿原理 .给出了补偿线圈的设计结构及其轴向场分布 .利用PARMELA程序对补偿效果作了模拟计算 .结果表明 ,设计的腔体对单圈 1 .5nC束团 ,在枪出口后 1 .2m处 ,电子能量为 5 .7MeV ,横向归一化发射度εn ,RMS=1 .61 2πmm·mrad. 为满足合肥先进光源对高品质注入束流的要求,合肥先进光源预研项目研制了一套光阴极微波电子枪系统作为注入器电子源。为降低空间电荷效应引起的束流发射度增长,对驱动激光整形及传输系统进行了理论和实验研究。通过双折射晶体的脉冲时间整形以及采用光阑高斯截断的空间整形,得到了近似均匀分布的激光脉冲。像传递激光传输光路,实现了光阴极表面激光位置的高稳定性。实验结果显示,光阴极表面的激光位置抖动小于4 μm,激光性能满足实验要求。  相似文献

为推动北京大学超导加速器实验装置不断向强流目标迈进,提出100 W红外高重频光阴极驱动激光的设计方案,主放大器采用先进的光子晶体增益光纤,保证输出光束的质量。对激光系统中的关键问题,如各部分功率指标、脉冲展宽和压缩、激光耦合等进行了设计,并且考虑了激光的非线性影响。为实现强流加速器开机运行所必备的诊断模式,也提出了对于高重频激光进行两级选频的独特设计方案。将高速的SOA光开关和低速的声光调制器相结合,产生宏脉冲结构的输出激光,从而实现加速器在诊断模式下的运行。  相似文献

The wide use of high voltage direct current (HVDC) equipments, such as convert transformer, DC bushing, DC cables, makes the research of oil-paper material insulation extraordinarily important. The space charge effect is the key insulation problem of HVDC equipments. This paper studied the space charge characteristics of oil-paper insulation materials by Pulsed Electro-Acoustic (PEA) method. In this paper, we studied and discussed the relationship between space charge and breakdown in oil-paper. The results show that the space charge comes from ionization at lower field intensity. When the stress is getting higher, injection of homo carriers occurs first at cathode and later at anode. The space charge inside oil-paper sample results in an electrical field distortion up to 40%. The conductivity of oil-paper insulation material is much larger than that of polyethylene, so the space charge dissipates fast when depolarized. The fast dissipation of space charge will play a key role of oil-paper insulating performance in condition of polarity reversal under HVDC. When the applied negative electrical field rose to between 50 kV/mm and 57 kV/mm, the oil-paper material got breakdown in a short time. During this process, an obvious movement of space charge was observed.  相似文献

This paper studies the influence of different parameters on the shielding failure of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines. A numerical analysis model considering the developing process of the downward lightning leader based on electromagnetic field theory is used to estimate the lateral striking distance to the transmission line. The influences of different factors (different parameters of the downward lightning leader, HVDC transmission line, and weather conditions) on the shielding failure of the HVDC transmission line (TL) have been considered in this analysis. The results show that the dimensions of the transmission line strongly affect the analysed results of the HVDC–TL shielding failure.  相似文献

A great deal of effort has been made over the last decades to develop a better polarized electron source for high energy physics. Several laboratories operate DC guns with a gallium arsenide photocathode, which yield a highly polarized electron beam. However, the beam's emittance might well be improved by using a superconducting radio frequency (SRF) electron gun, which delivers beams of a higher brightness than that from DC guns because the field gradient at the cathode is higher. SRF guns with metal and CsTe cathodes have been tested successfully. To produce polarized electrons, a Gallium-Arsenide photo-cathode must be used: an experiment to do so in a superconducting RF gun is under way at BNL. Since a bulk gallium arsenide (GaAs) photocathode is normal conducting, a problem arises from the heat load stemming from the cathode. We present our measurements of the electrical resistance of GaAs at cryogenic temperatures, a prediction of the heat load and verification by measuring the quality factor of the gun with and without the cathode at 2 K. We simulate heat generation and flow from the GaAs cathode using the ANSYS program. By following the findings with the heat load model, we designed and fabricated a new cathode holder (plug) to decrease the heat load from GaAs.  相似文献

We consider a scheme to generate a sub-picosecond electron bunch in the photocathode rf gun by im-proving the acceleration gradient in the gun, suitably tuning the bunch charge, the laser spot size and the acceleration phase, and reducing the growth of transverse emittance by laser shaping. A nondestructive technique is also reported to measure the electron bunch length, by measuring the high-frequency spectrum of wakefield radiation which is caused by the passage of a relativistic electron bunch through a channel surrounded by a dielectric.  相似文献

高重复频率、高平均流强的电子枪具有十分广泛的应用。设计了一台束团重复频率为325 MHz在CW模式工作的微波栅控高压型热阴极电子枪,并详细论述了该类型微波栅控电子枪的实验原理。在该类型电子枪的设计中,首先需要利用仿真模拟软件EGUN、POISSON(PoissonSuperfish)、GPT(General Particle Tracer)完成300 kV直流高压电子枪的结构设计,并进行束流动力学验证计算。为将微波馈入该直流电子枪的阴栅极之间,进行了该微波栅控电子枪的供电系统设计,完成了从射频功率源到同轴热阴极的阻抗匹配方案,设计了一种325 MHz双模式同轴供电器件,并进行了验证与分析。  相似文献
