In this paper the existence of solutions of a non-autonomous abstract retarded functional differential equation of second order with infinite delay is considered. Assuming the existence of an evolution operator corresponding to the associate abstract Cauchy problem of second order, we establish the existence of mild solutions of the functional equation. Furthermore, we study the existence of classical solutions of the abstract Cauchy problem of second order and we apply these results to establish the existence of classical solutions of the functional equation. Finally, we apply our results to study the existence of solutions of the non-autonomous wave equation with delay. 相似文献

This note is motivated from some recent papers treating the problem of the existence of a solution for abstract differential equations with fractional derivatives. We show that the existence results in [Agarwal et al. (2009) [1], Belmekki and Benchohra (2010) [2], Darwish et al. (2009) [3], Hu et al. (2009) [4], Mophou and N’Guérékata (2009) [6] and [7], Mophou (2010) [8] and [9], Muslim (2009) [10], Pandey et al. (2009) [11], Rashid and El-Qaderi (2009) [12] and Tai and Wang (2009) [13]] are incorrect since the considered variation of constant formulas is not appropriate. In this paper, the existence of mild solutions for first-order impulsive semilinear neutral functional differential equations with infinite delay in Banach spaces is investigated. We derive conditions in respect of the Hausdorff measure of noncompactness under which the mild solutions exist in Banach spaces. Our results improve and generalize some previous results. 相似文献

Two monotone iterative methods for an infinite system of parabolic functional differential equations with initial boundary conditions are constructed: the method of direct iterations and the Chaplygin method. In this work, we study the existence and regularity of solutions for some partial functional integrodifferential equations with infinite delay in Banach spaces. We suppose that the undelayed part admits a resolvent operator in the sense of Grimmer [R. This paper is concerned with the existence, smoothness and attractivity of invariant manifolds for evolutionary processes on general Banach spaces when the nonlinear perturbation has a small global Lipschitz constant and locally Ck-smooth near the trivial solution. Such a nonlinear perturbation arises in many applications through the usual cut-off procedure, but the requirement in the existing literature that the nonlinear perturbation is globally Ck-smooth and has a globally small Lipschitz constant is hardly met in those systems for which the phase space does not allow a smooth cut-off function. Our general results are illustrated by and applied to partial functional differential equations for which the phase space (where r>0 and being a Banach space) has no smooth inner product structure and for which the validity of variation-of-constants formula is still an interesting open problem. 相似文献

In the complex case A is assumed to be either analytic in the unit disc D or entire, while in the real case A is continuous either on (−1,1) or on (0,∞). We use the theory of generalized linear ordinary differential equations in Banach spaces to study linear measure functional differential equations with infinite delay. We obtain new results concerning the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence of solutions. Even for equations with a finite delay, our results are stronger than the existing ones. Entire solutions for monostable reaction-diffusion equations with nonlocal delay in one-dimensional spatial domain are considered. A comparison argument is employed to prove the existence of entire solutions which behave as two traveling wave solutions coming from both directions. Some new entire solutions are also constructed by mixing traveling wave solutions with heteroclinic orbits of the spatially averaged ordinary differential equations, and the existence of such a heteroclinic orbit is established using the monotone dynamical systems theory. Key techniques include the characterization of the asymptotic behaviors of solutions as t→−∞ in term of appropriate subsolutions and supersolutions. Two models of reaction-diffusion equations with nonlocal delay arising from mathematical biology are given to illustrate main results. 相似文献
