The purpose of this paper is to investigate the asymptotic behavior of positive solutions of nonautonomous and random competitive Kolmogorov systems via the skew-product flows approach. It is shown that there exists an unordered carrying simplex which attracts all nontrivial positive orbits of the skew-product flow associated with a nonautonomous (random) competitive Kolmogorov system.  相似文献

Recently, the existence of Morse decompositions for nonautonomous dynamical systems was shown for three different time domains: the past, the future and—in the linear case—the entire time. In this article, notions of exponential dichotomy are discussed with respect to the three time domains. It is shown that an exponential dichotomy gives rise to an attractor-repeller pair in the projective space, which is a building block of a Morse decomposition. Moreover, based on the notions of exponential dichotomy, dichotomy spectra are introduced, and it is proved that the corresponding spectral manifolds lead to Morse decompositions in the projective space.  相似文献

In this paper we consider nonlinear periodic systems driven by the ordinary pp-Laplacian and having a nonsmooth potential function. Under minimal and natural hypotheses on the nonsmooth potential and using variational methods based on the nonsmooth critical point theory we prove four existence theorems and a multiplicity theorem. We conclude the paper with an existence theorem for the scalar problem, in which the energy functional is indefinite (i.e. it is unbounded both above and below).  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to investigate uniform persistence for nonautonomous and random parabolic Kolmogorov systems via the skew-product semiflows approach. It is first shown that the uniform persistence of the skew-product semiflow associated with a nonautonomous (random) parabolic Kolmogorov system implies that of the system. Various sufficient conditions in terms of the so-called unsaturatedness and/or Lyapunov exponents for uniform persistence of the skew-product semiflows are then provided. Among others, it is shown that if the associated skew-product semiflow has a global attractor and its restriction to the boundary of the state space has a Morse decomposition which is unsaturated or whose external Lyapunov exponents are positive, then it is uniformly persistent. More specific conditions are discussed for uniform persistence in n-species, particularly 3-species, random competitive systems.  相似文献

We consider the synchronization of a network of linearly coupled and not necessarily identical oscillators. We present an approach to the existence of the synchronization manifold which is based on some results developed by R. Smith for the study of periodic solutions of ODEs. Our framework allows the study of a large class of systems and does not assume that they are small perturbations of linear systems. Moreover, it provides a practical way to compute estimations on the parameters of the system for which generalized synchronization occurs. Additionally, we give a new proof of the main result of R. Smith on invariant manifolds using Wazewski's principle. Several examples of application are presented.  相似文献

We consider the problem of symmetry of the central configurations in the restricted 4 + 1 body problem when the four positive masses are equal and disposed in symmetric configurations, namely, on a line, at the vertices of a square, at the vertices of a equilateral triangle with a mass at the barycenter, and finally, at the vertices of a regular tetrahedron [1–3]. In these situations, we show that in order to form a non collinear central configuration of the restricted 4 + 1 body problem, the null mass must be on an axis of symmetry. In our approach, we will use as the main tool the quadratic forms introduced by A. Albouy and A. Chenciner [4]. Our arguments are general enough, so that we can consider the generalized Newtonian potential and even the logarithmic case. To get our results, we identify some properties of the Newtonian potential (in fact, of the function ϕ(s) = −s k, with k < 0) which are crucial in the proof of the symmetry.  相似文献

For nonautonomous dynamical systems a bifurcation can be understood as topological change in the set of bounded entire solutions to a given time-dependent evolutionary equation. Following this idea, a Fredholm theory via exponential dichotomies on semiaxes enables us to employ tools from analytical branching theory yielding nonautonomous versions of fold, transcritical and pitchfork patterns. This approach imposes the serious hypothesis that precise quantitative information on the dichotomies is required — an assumption hard to satisfy in applications. Thus, imperfect bifurcations become important.In this paper, we discuss persistence and changes in the previously mentioned bifurcation scenarios by including an additional perturbation parameter. While the unperturbed case captures the above bifurcation patterns, we obtain their unfolding and therefore the local branching picture in a whole neighborhood of the system. Using an operator formulation of parabolic differential, Carathéodory differential and difference equations, this will be achieved on the basis of recent abstract analytical techniques due to Shi (1999) and Liu, Shi and Wang (2007).  相似文献

In this paper, by using Liapunov’s second method, we establish some new results for stability and boundedness of solutions of nonlinear vector differential equations of third order. By constructing a Liapunov function, sufficient conditions for stability and boundedness of solutions of equations considered are obtained. This paper address the asymptotical stability of neutral systems with nonlinear perturbations. Some novel delay-dependent asymptotical stability criteria are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The resulting delay-dependent stability criteria are less conservative than the previous ones, owing to the introduction of free-weighting matrices, based on a class of novel augment Lyapunov functionals. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate that the derived conditions are much less conservative than those given in the literature.  相似文献

In this article, two different approaches are discussed which are based on special notions of attractivity and repulsivity. The problem of delay-dependent asymptotic stability criteria for neural networks (NNs) with time-varying delays is investigated. An improved linear matrix inequality based on delay-dependent stability test is introduced to ensure a large upper bound for time-delay. A new class of Lyapunov function is constructed to derive a novel delay-dependent stability criteria.
